Can't move underlying layers

i have a big lavendar BG, on top of that is text and a few line drawings. i want to put the small, darker lavendar box (on the left) under the graphic, but on top of the big lavender BG. when i try doing "send backward" as opposed to "send to back" nothing happens. i have to send the small box TO BACK and then select the big box and send it to back. but then when i want to resize my small box i can't retrieve it w/o moving my whole big BG off the page. what am i missing? see below

In indesign there are two kinds of layers, The layers pallete and... the order that you placed things on the page. so yes everything has its own layer per say but that has nothing to do with the layers pallete, The layers pallete allows you to create layers and to deposit things on that layer. You have to tell indesign what items you want on what layers in the layers pallete otherwise when you place a new object, text or anything else indesign will place the item on the layer you have selected in the layers pallete.

Can't move layers in Mac Acrobat 9 Pro

I can't move layers in Acrobat 9 Pro, even though Adobe says it's possible. All that I get is a circle wih a slash at the cursor on clicking and holding the mouse, indicating that moving the layer up or down in the stack is not possible. No key presses help either. Four attempts to get a definitive answer from Adobe Support yield only that they said it was possible. They also admitted that even if you did move a layer, it would not affect how the layer objects display, ie. whether above or below other layer's objects!
Has anyone been successful in moving a layer?
Relatedly, one (Windows) respondent says she can "position" a new layer upon Layer Import, but the Mac dialog makes no mention of the layer stack, just the X-Y coordinates on the PDF page....

Thanks guys for responding. I went through the usual steps of trashing preferences, shutting down the computer, going home, and drinking a beer. I got in this morning and booted her up, and now everything works just as it should.
No idea what it was. I'm positive that the tracks weren't locked, and I'm 95% sure that I was in arrow mode (I was selecting the layer right before trying to move it.)
I don't know what it was, but I hope it never happens again.

In that application what options are available to you under the Window menu item? Maybe something there that'll help?

Can't move layers in Canvas

I'm working on a sequence with multiple video layers, and I'm trying to move them around in my canvas. Image+Wireframe is turned on, but I can't move anything. I highlight clip and then click and drag on the Canvas. The wireframe pops up, but won't move anywhere.
I can double-click to load clip in viewer and move it there and timeline updates just fine.
I'm sure that my chubby fingers have hit some kind of shortcut locking the video in place. How do I undo this self-sabotage?

However, I am going to have to put on my clairvoyant hat and guess you are running Photoshop 10.0.1 (CS3). :/
In CS3, do NOT attempt to move the palette well, i.e. the dark gray zone above the palettes. That you cannot move.
Instead, grab each palette individually by the light gray bar just at the top of each palette.

Th AVPlayerHD works well for playing other video types. You can transfer the videos via USB in the app tab in iTunes on your computer. When you open that tab when you have you iPad connected to the computer scroll down and you will see apps listed on the left and a blank on the right. Click on the app and then click on the add button under the blank window on the right. Then navigate to the video you want to play and it will transfer it to the iPad. I have about 14 movies on mine using AVPlayerHD. works very well. Also have VLC player (before it was yanked from the app store). Works about the same.
You can also get the app Air Video and stream the video to from your computer to the iPad, and even have Theo ad connected to the tv to watch on there. I do that all the time with my iPhone. Saves time with not having to sync movies all the time.

I have created a custom transcation zsmen in SAP by copying smen transcation ( SAP Easy access screen) . Now when i create a flavor in smen , can i move the flavor to zsmen tcode. Is that possible.

In the standard, no - this is not provided.
However it IS technically feasible with a little hack.
Set a break point in the location shown by the screen shot below, then go to the admin transaction and copy the SMEN flavor to a new name. When the process stops at the break point, change the transaction code in field gs_flavid_db-tcode after this line, using the replace feature of the debugger.
Now while this will work, you have to handle this with caution. It only makes sense to copy hack a flavor from one transaction to another if the two transactions are VERY similar, like in many cases the Display and Change transactions of the same object, for instance. Like Change Sales Order / Display Sales Order. However even then, you may encounter some weird problem or even slight differences between these transactions can cause unexpected effects.
Under no circumstances is this supported by SAP though
So in case of any problem resulting from doing this, you're on your own.
However in your case, since you copied a standard transaction to a custom one, this will probably not work because the program name of the copied transaction is different, so the resulting control IDs of your custom transaction will then also be different. The flavor has customization for different controls than the ones on the screen, so you'll then end up with the flavor looking like the Basic View. I never tried to do this on such a copied transaction, but that's my expectation.

Install PSE 8 on the old computer and convert your catalog to PSE 8 format there. Then use the backup/restore method in PSE 8 to move the catalog and photos to the new computer. See these FAQs for details:

TS2972 I installed ios 7 today on my devices. Not all my devices are letting me view my purchaced movies under the videos icon. All are under the same apple ID.

Installed ios 7 on my iphone 5, my ipad 2, and my daughters iphone 4. Home sharing and icloud are turned on on all devices but the only one that is allowing me to see all of my purchases in the cloud is my iphone 5. It shows all my movies under the videos icon. My other devices say No Content when I open the video icon. Any one else having these issues.

This happened to me as well. All of our purchased(icloud) content shows up on my husbands iPhone 5 and he can stream it wihtout any problems, but not on my iPhone 4s. When first I installed it yesterday some of them showed up but it was missing most of our purchased content on my phone. I decided maybe it was a glitch that happened while updating so I did a soft reset holding my home and power button down. That did not fix it so I restored my phone from the computer hoping that reinstalling the software would fix it. When it was done I went in and there is no content now. Before I atleast had partial content now there is nothing. If I go to the itunes store it shows that I own them and if I click on a movie or tv episode the picture shows up in the left hand corner with a play icon on it but it will only let me play 1 episode and none of the others work. I am so frustrated! I hope someone figures this out:)

Just a note about the difference between these two things:
* "export" and "import" use an ancient HTML document format that all browsers can understand. When you import bookmarks, Firefox may place them into an Imported Bookmarks folder, or into Unsorted Bookmarks. This does not displace existing bookmarks, and Firefox does not automatically remove duplicates.
* "backup" and "restore" use a more comprehensive JSON data file, which contains extra information about your bookmarks (such as tags) not contained in the traditional export file. HOWEVER, a restore completely replaces all existing bookmarks, so the restore feature cannot be used to merge in a set of additional bookmarks.

Open picture B, the one you wish to select the hair from to add to the picture.
Use one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, to select the hair. You will see an outline ("marching ants") once the selection is complete
Go to Edit menu>copy to copy the hair to the clipboard
Open picture A, then go to Edit>paste
Use the move tool to position the hair from picture B.
In the layers palette you should see picture A as the background layer, and the hair (B) on a separate layer.
