Can't my Exchange & Mac finally just be friends?! They still don't talk.

Okay, maybe not, but now I got your attention:
My office is running Exchange 2003 & I desperately want my iMac (internal in the office) to work with our Exchange Server 2003.
I know that we have disabled IMAP services and we aren't enabling them.
So far, I've tried every possible combination of authenticating. Nothing.
I'll add that I do use Entourage 2008 with Exchange and it works well. It even works outside the office too without reconfigurations (at PUSH speeds).
*I wanted to use my iMac natively with iCal, etc. and am eager to learn what I'm hoping is an easy solution to work around this.*

The only solution is to have your office upgrade your Exchange Server.
I have waited too many months for this update for an answer like that.
If that is truely the case, I'm dumping my 5 macs.
+Shame on Phil Schiller for not mentioning this at the Keynote when he psyched out the world about native Exchange support...+

Lots of people are disappointed (me too), but dropping your Macs - well, you are gonna be alone on that one dude - SL has been stating Exchange 2007 as a requirement the whole time and many people Beta testing have written about it. Want to complain, try your IT team for not upgrading the Exchange Server. Exchange 2007 has Web Services that are not available in Exchange 2003 (it doesn't have them).
It would be ideal is SL used the same mechanism the iPhone does to communicate with Exchange 2003 and who knows, maybe 10.6.1 will, but It isn't Apple's fault you didn't read the system requirements.
