Ok,
First Rick.
When I get to the box where the choice of skins are, right
above it, the choices are:
Section 508 Compliant Output
W3C Compliant Topics
I double checked RoboHelps Help...and it says Robohelp for
Word 6, Build 99.
Colum...
Here's what I did (I 'thought', I'd start off simple, lol)...
1. Start Robo.
2. Select New Project.
3. The left panel contains all of the folders (I think its
called Explorer).
The right panel is the default Helpfile word document that
contains the 'welcome' message.
4. I added my spreadsheet to the Baggage folder.
5. Back at the word document, I just added a simple word
'excel'.
6. Then I highlighted 'excel', Insert->Hyperlink...and
pointed it to my excel spreadsheet.
7. Saved it.
8. Generated it.
Everything opens up fine in IE. Excel is highlighted blue and
underlined. But its not clickable.

Hi Alex,
The trick to this whole thing is to scroll to the bottom of the message. There should be a dashed line at the bottom of the email message with text underneath it that says, "This message was downloaded as plain text." Underneath that it should say (in blue hyperlink text) "Download full message". Select that hyperlink, and the Excel file should download completely. You should then be able to select the document and have it open correctly.
I have had the same concern regardless of file format that is sent, so I do not believe your issue is with file format. Hope this helps.
I've seen the same thing happen with images, which it displays in a corrupted form. It's fixed by downloading the full message.
There's a more serious side effect of this, which I've now seen with several types of files. If one FORWARDS the email to someone else, the attached files it sends them are CORRUPTED and unopenable too. In the case of a Word files I looked at, it had dropped the last two bytes of the file.
The workaround for that is to download the full message before forwarding.
I'm seeing this happening with so many types of attachments that I'm assuming it affects them all. Please everyone report this to Apple feedback (http://www.apple.com/feedback/). It's one thing not being able to open a file on your device, it's another to have files corrupted permanently just by forwarding. -
I can not open an Excel Spreadsheet
I purchased my MacPro last November. I loaded NUMBERS on my macnine as well as PAGES, and KEYNOTE. I was determined to learn these programs and not rely on using MS OFFICE on my Mac. The rest of my office is still using PC/s and therefore when I am sent a document, it is with MS OFFICE. Up until the first of March, I was able to access all documents sent to me, but sometime in March, EXCEL files sent to me gets an error message:
This document was created with an unsupported version of Excel. Only documents created with Excel ’97 or later can be opened.
It seems to associate to the upgrade that came out for LION during that month. I have tried everything. My office has tried sending in every format without success. WHAT CAUSED THE CHANGE???
I would appreciate any help that I can get.

Sending an excel spreadsheet attachment on an E-Mail
Afternoon,
Based upon program BCS_EXAMPLE_5 I have created a program that generates an e-mail and creates a spreadsheet attachment. The problem I have is how do get the contents of an internal table into the spreadsheet attachment?
My attempt at resolving the problem has been as follows:-
I have declared a variable document which points to the class cl_document_bcs. I have then instantiated the variable using a static method. I then call the method add_attachment (document->add_attachment) and pass the text content which contains two lines of text.
This creates a spreadsheet will the two lines of text in the first cell.
Could I use the binary content instead? If so how do I declare a variable that has the same type as a work area of binary content because this has a data type of RAW.
Any assistance would be very much appreciated. A copy of my code can be seen below:-

I have made every installation or upgrade put out by Apple for 3 years. Now my excel spread sheets previously created will not open since I installed OSX. Says I need to install numbers. At the APP store it tells me
Are you sure you're using Numbers 3.0? I understand you may have installed it, but make sure you're running the latest version as shown here:
The latest Numbers may not have made ti onto your dock. If it didn't, find it in your Applications folder and drag it onto your dock. You can drag the old version off your dock and dispose of it (from an iWork 09 folder in Applications).
If you are actually running Numbers 3.0, the Excel file may be encrypted. See: -

Open the excel spreadsheet in Excel.
Hi,
I am outputing data as an excel spreadsheet via jsp, but there are no toolbars etc available (for sorting, etc) when displayed within the browser.
Is it possible to always open the excel spreadsheet in the Excel-application (even if the user/client have "Browse in same window" for the file type)?
Thank youMay be this could help:-
The points given below gives idea about how to display the report or
static data for which data is retrieved in the servlet and printed
through jsp.
1. The conversion of report into excel is done by changing the
setContentType of response
in the servlet. The mimeType should be added in mimeTypes of application
server corresponding to the string given in setContentType. The setHeader
is for default file
name for excel
Example:
response.setContentType("application/vnd.ms-excel");
response.setHeader("Content-disposition","attachment;filename=file.xls")
Setting Mime type in server(Weblogic):
weblogic.httpd.mimeType. application/vnd.ms-excel =xls
2. In IE the excel is directly downloaded and the user explicitly
saves in the local system. In Netscape the user is given the option to
open the file or save it to the local system
3. Note:
1) It is better if the whole information of the report in a single
table.
2) If the application requires both html and excel format of the same
report to be displayed on certain conditions, it is better to have two
different jsps one for html and other for Excel since the formatting is
different

How can I get an excel spreadsheet onto the iPad and make changes to it during my meeting this afternoon?
I just bought splashtop, you have to have your home computer online, and download the pc version. I have used it ot watch movies and to "go to work" on my ipad. It controls the desktop through the ipad. Whiteboard by splashtop does that and more and is on sale. The education director at the hospital I work at is using that one.
Splashtop 4.99 remote desktop(or laptop) control. Whiteboard 9.99 is remote control and more 9.99

Help!!!
I just puchased the latest Adobe Acrobat XI Standard.
I put in the Serial Key number but my computer tells me that a qualifying product could not be found on my computer so I can't use the adobe product. So now I can't open any files or attach pdf files onto emails without this message coming up. I've un-installed the "Adobe Acrobat XI Standard twice! with no luck.
I need it sorted ASAP as I'm trying to work! Any suggestions?DotBellaParis if you are being asked for a qualifying product then it would appear you purchased an upgrade to Acrobat XI Standard. You should have the opportunity to enter the serial number for your previous purchase of Acrobat. You can find information on how to locate your previous serial numbers at http://forums.adobe.com/message/3987968#3987968?promoid=KBHJW.
If you did not intend to purchase an upgrade then I would recommend submitting a return request. You can find more details on submitting a return at Return, cancel, or exchange an Adobe order - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/return-cancel-or-change-order.html. Once you have returned the upgrade you can then purchase the full version which will not ask you for a qualifying product or serial number. -
Trying to open an Excel file attached to a Designer form

If you are trying to open an Excel form that is attached to the PDF file (via the attachments tab in
Acrobat), then this is the wrong script to use. You should consult the Acrobat Javascript reference:
http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/acrobat/sdk/pdf/javascript/AcroJS.pdf
You may want to try the Adobe Acrobat Scripting forum as well.

Can't open any excel files after installing Snow Leopard
I can't open any excel files after installing Snow Leopard. Is anyone else having this problem?
I have a standard iWork '08 install. Has anyone experienced? And better yet, know of a fix?Welcome to Apple Discussions
Most users who have had a problem opening Office files with the iWork apps after upgrading to Snow Leopard have the problem fixed by updating to the latest versions. For iWork '08 that is Pages 3.0.3 & Numbers 1.0.3. For iWork '09 it's Pages 4.0.2 & Numbers 2.0.2. I don't use Keynote, but it should also be updated. If you're not running the latest versions & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. They must be in the iWork '08 or iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '08 or iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '08 or '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.
