Can't open and (re)install Compressor, Qmaster & Qadministrator

Okay, so have bought a mac with FCS3 a couple of weeks ago. I installed almost all of the Studio software without any problems, except for Compressor Qadministrator and Qmaster.
I'm having a problem starting up these three programs. If I want to open them they give the following error: "You can't open Qadministrator/Compressor/Qmaster because it's possibly damaged or incomplete" (please note this is not the exact message, it's a rough translation from Dutch).
I tried reinstalling Compressor, but everytime I try the Compressor option in the FCS installation menu is greyed out.
Has anyone encountered this problem before and does anyone know a solluton for this? I'm pretty new on Apple software so it might be something I could have easily overlooked. I already tried doing software updates (completely up to date).

Compressor is part of the default install for FCS. If you want to only install parts of the Studio, you can use Pacifist:
http://www.charlessoft.com/
This will let you select exactly what you want. Make sure that you always uninstall/reinstall Compressor and QMaster as a set.

In there support article the last thing I was to do was re install the above from my SL installation disc. HOW DO YOU DO THIS !! . According to the article you posted you are supposed to get these installations from the disc's that have the programs that installed them in the first place:
To reinstall Compressor effectively, you need to remove the application, its receipts and associated files, then install Compressor and use Software Update to install additional updates. Follow the steps below to completely reinstall a fresh copy of Compressor. *Note: Make sure that you have the installation discs for the application that Compressor was bundled with and the serial number handy before starting this.*
I'd take another look at that article to ensure you've actually followed every instruction or tip properly and in the right order.

you probably have an incomplete/corrupt download.
to confirm check the file size against the expected file size.
then re-download perhaps with a different browser.

Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Test after each one. Back up all data before making any changes.
1. Make sure that the right volume is selected in the Startup Disk preference pane.
2. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed to start up. If there's no change, reconnect them
3. Reset the System Management Controller.
4. Reset the PRAM.
5. Start up in safe mode, then restart as usual. If you can't start in safe mode—for instance, if FileVault is active—then triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

The problem is, apparently, that you can neither open nor install iPhoto.
Seriously, you give us nothing to work with.
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 10 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?

You could install Office for Mac. You could install a free Office-like program such as LibreOffice. You could open the documents with a program like Pages. Or you could install Windows and Office on your Macbook Pro.

You have permissions issues with your user folder and the location where the PS swap files are stored. You need to fix that part...

The installer is for a PowerPC-based Mac, last produced in 2006.
Often, that software is just a "reader" that displays a menu of items to select from. The files themselves are in folders on the disk and you may be able to access them without using the installer.

I tried Peggy's List > Select All > Copy > Paste into an AW spreadsheet suggestion.
In my case, pasting into the spreadsheet lost all text formatting (mostly text set to bold). The results of formulas were pasted, and checkboxes were pasted as "on" or "off". The DB did not contain any pop-up menus or radio buttons, but I expect they would transfer as a number showing the list position of the chosen item.
Pasting the copied List view data into a Numbers table gave a result similar to that with AppleWorks. I selected B2 as the target cell (for top left cell of the pasted data) to avoid any effects of posting into a header row or column. Bold and regular text formatting looked the same as it had in AW's List view.
Based on that, I'd slip the 'paste into an AppleWorks Spreadsheet step, and paste directly into a Numbers Table.

What's your OS? Acrobat 8 is not compatible with any modern OS.
