Can't open apps. -10810 error

Hey everyone, I have had this issue for about a week now. It seems that if I leave my Mac on for awhile, if I try to launch an app I get a -10810 error and the app wont open. If restart my mac, all is good but then wait a couple of hours and boom, does it again. Also if an app is left running, no problems there. I have done a search in here and in google and can't get an answer. It's only started since 10.5.3 update. I can still work, but if I leave my Mac on, I have to restart it every couple of hours.
It's only happening on my Mac Pro and not my Powerbook and iMac.
Has anyone else had this issue or know what it is or know how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

The following have been suggested as possible solutions:
1. Delete the following:
/Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices-0230.csstore
/Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices-023501.csstore
/Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.LaunchServices.plist
2. If you have Virex or other virus software installed, try uninstalling it. Be sure to use uninstallers that come with the software because simply deleting the application does not fully uninstall most virus software.
After deleting the referenced files above you will want to do a restart. Then use Disk Utility in your Utilities folder to repair permissions.

Works fine for some days and then several Apple Apps stop working. Is that a way to force us ti update to Yosemite? (I don't want to) and then pay to update some third party programs (i.e. Pro Tools). Also, there are so many 15" MacBooks Pro with graphic problems and of course the guys at the Apple Service Centers always say: "It's the logic board, you can have it replaced, but it's so expensive I would recommend a new Mac". I really, really miss Steve Jobs!

Right click your document, hover over "Open with..." and then click "Other".
Find TextEdit and click "Open".
TextEdit will then do it's best to open your document.
If you have iLife, do the same but instead of opening with TextEdit open with Numbers, Pages, Keynote, e.t.c.

Don't be afraid to bump this topic. There's also an App Store forum where you might repost this question, but give some of these details in your post. I'd rephrase the topic to something like "Can't use App Store to upgrade." (Instead of can't "open".) Then give the details.

IF you get app update notifications, are you able to use the App Store from the Updates Tab? Try closing the App Store and reset your iPad. You will not lose any data.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I can't open App Store in my OSX Lion. The icon somehow changed to some kind of plain paper.
Every time I open it, it comes to the dock, bouncing, but then gone and App Store is not open.
There is no notification window or something like that. I did not change anything, it just changes itself somehow.
Anyone have similar experience?

You need to restore OS X using OS X Recovery
Startup your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you should be able to access the built in utilities to restore OS X.
That will reinstall the App Store for you.

I test the simpsver using simpclw run on the same machine, the simpsver seen to
run normally. After config the correct network option,I test the simpsver on the
different machine using simpclw, now I get the "1356 ERROR:pifreg:can not open
registry database error" ,the action bea suggested is "Make sure that the directory(default
TUXDIR/udataobj) is not on an NFS mounted filesystem that does not support file
locking", but in fact bea client is installed on a local file system (ext2)!

Are you saying you are getting an error while trying to crosscheck at mount? Or you simply don't believe it will work?

Can not open app store on macbook pro/imac after installing Mavericks

I have just installed Mavericks on both a Macbook Pro and an iMac. I use the same Appleid on both.
But now I can not open App Store
I have tried clicking on the App Store symbol in the dock, starting it from the program folder in a Finder window, and starting it from the Apple menu. The result is the same: Nothing happens except that the menubar that was active before the attempt becomes inactive (dark). There is no App Store Window, and no App Store menubar.
I have one idea why this happens. I removed the "OS X Mavericks" from the list of downloads/purchases in App Store by misstake before I installed Mavericks. If that is the problem how can I solve it?

Ok, now it works again. I got a Notice that I could update some applications and I answered that I wanted to do that. Then, when I tried to start App Store the menubar showed up but no window. I choosed "Windows - Minimize", exited App Stored and started it again. And now it works - on both computers!

Depending on what type of CD/DVD you intend to burn, you may not need any 3rd party applications:
- To burn data CDs or DVDs simply insert a blank disc, drag files to the empty FInder window that represents the disc, then click the burn button (I think t appears near the top of the finder window).
- To burn music CDs just use iTunes
- To create disk images from a CD or DVD use Disk Utility. To burn .iso or .cdr images to disc use Disk Utility.
About the only type of disc burning that you may need a 3rd party application for is to create a DVD movie (iDVD used to do this but no longer a supported app). I haven't ever needed anything outside of the built-in capabilities of OS X when it comes to burnig CD or DVD media. One suggestion is to make sure to remove all of the Roxio software so that it doesn't interfere with the built-in OS X capabilities.

You are not allowed to use the UK iTunes Store from outside of the UK. Apple may block attempts to connect from other countries. From the iTunes Store Terms of Use:
"The Service is available to you only in the United Kingdom. You agree not to use or attempt to use the Service from outside this location. iTunes may use technologies to verify your compliance. "
Again, sorry, but as long as you are in Iran, there is no iTunes Store that you can use.

Lanny here are the startup key sequences on wired keyboards to know for future reference:
SHIFT - safe boot.
command-S single user mode to run fsck
command-R to run a recovery boot.
command-option-P-R to reset the PRAM on Macs younger than 4 years, or whose PRAM battery is younger.
command-option-O-F to boot into open firmware.
D key to boot hardware test on an Intel Mac - for pre-July 20, 2011 Macs, this means having the original installer discs.
Option key - Startup Manager.
Option = Alt key on Windows keyboards.
Command key may be Windows key on Windows keyboards, or cloverleaf or Apple logo key on Apple keyboards.

I feel your pain. My firm's IT guy finally found a solution, no thanks to Apply or iTunes, though it evidently is/was a Windows issue. Go to "My Computer," click "Properties." in the "System" window, click on "Advanced system settings," that brings up the "System Properties" window. Click on the "Advanced" tab, then click the "Environment Variables" button. Find and highlight the "Path" variable in the "System Variables" section. Click "Edit" to bring up the "Edit System Variable" window. Finally, place your mouse cursor at the very end of the "Variable Value," and modify the variable value by adding the following (EXACTLY) to the end:
