Can't open Calendar on 5800XM

Hi there,
I can't open my calendar any more on my 5800 XM.
If I select the calendar icon on either the home screen or in the menu screen, the screen seems to pause and then I get the home screen / menu screen again.
Any idea?
Thanks

Same problem here. It is NOT working. It's actually quite bad. When you accept a meeting invitation in your inbox, the invitation disappears. And as the calendar entry does not include the attachement, there is no way to access it anymore. It's gone from the inbox and it's not included in the calendar.

  • Can't open Calendar- 1712 error message?

Hi, All of a sudden I can't open Calendar on my MacBook. I get an error message "The application Calendar can't be opened. -1712" Calendar working fine on other synched devices though. Any ideas gratefully received. Thanks.

I have exactly the same problem.

  • After signing in successfully can't open calendar and integrated gmail doesn't show my mail and calendar

Three issues that occur after successful sign in:
    1. Can't open calendar or any other gmail option, I get a message saying: Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page.
    2. Can't set appropriate signature in the settings signature box. When I try to save it say "Sorry, the signature [email protected] is too long. Please try a shorter signature." This is my email address and I want it as part of my automated signature that I placed in the appropriate settings box.
    3. I loaded the integrated gmail add on (may be called an extension) and it doesn't work. My calendar doesn't show up when I sign into mail. It used to work beautifully and was very helpful. I believe I'm on the latest version of Firefox. What can I do? I have three (3) other gmail accounts and have these same issue with all of them.
*** Sorry, but I need these issues resolved immediately as I use gmail for my two businesses and personal account. ***

    (1) You get the infobar from Firefox saying that the site wants to redirect you? You can turn that off here:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced > General
Un-check the box for "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page"
More generally, when you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
    (2) Remove your google.com cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these:
    * While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
    (2) I'd have to log in and see what this feature is
    (3) Could you provide a link to that particular extension over on the add-ons site, or it exact name?

  • I can not open calendar with OS X Yosemite

Since updating to Yosemite I can not open Calendar. The top of the screen is there (i.e. file, edit, view, etc.) but I can open the actual page.

    @drkpvc
I am guessing that when you upgraded your iPhone to iOS 8 you said yes to the question 'Do you want to activate iCloud Drive'. This will have converted your iCloud account to a form that will only work with iOS 8, Yosemite and Windows.
As Csound1 said Yosemite is not yet available. So if the above is correct you are stuck and will have to wait until Yosemite is released.
One workaround you could try is opening the document on your iPhone and sending it via email to yourself. Then you hopefully will be able to save and open it on your Mac.

  • I was using Icloud with Outlook 2010 on Win 7 64 bit w/o a problem until I downloaded CP 3.  Now can't open my calendar in outlook - contacts are fine. Also can't open calendar in icloud if I access it with Internet Exp but can if I use Chrome. Fixes?

I was using Icloud on my PC with Outlook 2010 and Windows 7 64bit.  After I upgraded the icloud control panel to 3.0 my calendar will no longer load and open in outlook nor will it open on icloud if I access icloud with internet explorer.  It works fine on icloud if I access it with Chrome.  I can also access it through IE on another computer.  Something is amiss on my system.  Any thoughts?

Import the calendar and contacts in Outlook.com. For contacts, export from Outlook as csv and import into Outlook by choosing the Other option (https://people.live.com/import/other?biciid=ImportCatalog)
You'll need to save the calendar as an ics file to import it. Select the calendar folder, the File, Save as an save as an ics.

  • Can't open calendar attachments in iOS 5

    Hi there,
We've recently upgraded 70 iPad 2's to iOS 5 and we're very happy with all of the new goodies.
One of the new features in iOS 5 is that you allegedly can open attachments in the calendar. We cannot seem to get this to work.
Any idea's?  We use Microsoft Exchange 2010 as our e-mail server and it synchronizes the Agenda to our iPads.
    Thanks!
    D

I am experiencing the same problem on exchange 2007. I would like to know if anybody  has been able to get this working or if there is simply no support for exchange calendar attachments through the iPhone/iPad calendar app.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Can't open calendar invites

It is completely embarrassing when I have to call a customer for information because I cannot open a calendar invitation on my iPhone or iPad. Nor have I ever been able to. Viewing, Accepting or denying calendar invites should be a basic function for our apple mobile devices or give us another app besides cal and mail.
My only option, wait till I get to a real computer or call my customer. This has become a complete joke that exchange and rim users laugh about. I can't wait till they make a TV commercial about it!

Please restart the computer and try again.

  • Can't open calendar

When I click on the icon, I can see the word "application not responding".
    How do I fix this?
Is there a way to remove the calendar?
The dysfunctional calendar is also preventing me from doing a normal fast shutdown.
What I have done so far but still didn't work:
    1. reinstalled OS
    2. unticked calendar option in Exchange
    3. and of course, restarted the computer multiple times.
    Thanks in advance for helping.

Did you double click your home button, and held your finger on the calendar app for a few seconds until it starts to wiggle then tap the red minus sign to close the app.

  • Can't open calendar events to edit

    Can't edit events in ICal.

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
    1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
    2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
    3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). (On iPhoto 11 this option is under the File -> Reveal in Finder.) Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
    4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/ Library/ Caches...
    5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
If none of these help: As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

  • Can't open Calendar/Preview/App Store in OSX Yosemite

So this weird thing happens that none of my system apps could be opened...
I tried to restore my system but when I hit that cmd + R it appears a lock icon and it seems to require a passcode, I tried my login passcode but it comes with no response...didn't really know how to fix it and its getting on my nerves
    Anything would help. Thanks!

    First attempt a clean install...
    http://mashable.com/2013/10/23/clean-install-os-x-mavericks/
If this doesn't work, which it didn't in my case, then download
    Pacifist.
    http://www.charlessoft.com/
You will need a copy of the Maverick installer.
Use Pacificst to " Open Apple Intallers"
The go to Contents of Mavericks->Contents of EssentialSystemSoftware->Contents of Essentials.pkg->Applications
Then Click on the programs that don't seem to be working and insall. This helped me update certain applications that weren't working such as App Store, Font Book, Mail, and any others.

    Any ideas ?

I'm not sure what you're looking for on your iPad.  You set up iCloud by going to Settings>iCloud, signing in with your Apple ID to create your account, then turning on the data you want to sync with iCloud.  However, iCloud is a service, it isn't an app.  It will sync data that you add or change within the apps on your your iPad that are syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, notes, reminders, etc.).
When you go to icloud.com from your computer browser, you should get the sign in pop-up like the image below.  After signing in, you can access the apps from icloud.com.  If this isn't working for you, you may need to troubleshoot your browser as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4050.
