Help!!!!! When I Try To Open Adobe Photoshop CS4 The Program Tells Me That I Have To Reboot The Computer, I Do It And That Stupid Message Appears Again, With An Error Message 148:3 HELP ME!! UGH **MAD**

I am using aadobe photoshop CS4 extended for windows
Order number: AD000266417EDEU
Now and sudenly I get this message in a pop window:
"Licensing for thi sproduct has stopped working"
"This product has encountered a problem wich requires that you restart your computer before it can be launched
If you continue to see this message after restarting your computer, please contact....yout IT or Adobe technical sipport for help, and menyion the error code shoen at the bottom of this screes.

Bob, Thank you for being so helpful for those of us saving back CS3 files. If you would be so kind, I have a real stumper here (at least for me). I'm runnnig CS3 5.0.4 and a colleage has exported a CS3 Interchange .inx file for me. I am unable to open the file and get the following error:
"Cannot open the file "B Proposal.inx". AdobeInDesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file format may be missing, or the file may be open in another application."
I have no other programs open. I've rebooted since downloading 5.0.4 update. Do you have any ideas?
Teh .inx file is 1.6 megs.

Can I open CS4 on a pc that has CS6 loaded?

I have CS4 but after I purchased the cs6 suite, I can't open the old cs4. When I try to open it, it says the licensing for this product has stopped working and gives the error code 148:3. I have a really old flash file that needs a few link revisions. It won't work in cs6 but it did fine in cs4.

"Can't Open Project" URGENT!

Hi,
After starting a FCP project on two different FCP5 nodes, I am unable to open the project. The project has moved around on a external drive and on several different computers and now will not open. Originally, to salvage, a recent auto-save file was used and backups were made of all project files. Now, ALL autosave files and the backed-up versions will not open. A clean install of FCP with all pref's trashed was done and the same happens.
As opposed to going to the other location, is there anything I can quickly do to restore these files and continue with the project. Any help would be great as the deadline is quickly approaching.

Actually we didn't make the deadline due to the loss of the project files. I have been working on a higher profile job since the completion of this project and have been out of the country. Considering the deadline was within 10 hours, I think it was rather urgent.
Back on topic, The project opens fine on the two G5 Dual 2ghz but then gives a "Cant open project file" when I try to open the file(s) off the media drive/server/just project file with unconnected files on my powerbook.
Both versions are the same, G5s have a volume licence and the PB has its own version of FCP5 (not studio).
Not only did the un-documented error present a giant loss in productivity but neither several respected forums or apple support could help. "Work on the other machine" simply wasnt a option. Short of sumbitting a offline again as a rush, I need to fix this problem now.

I can't open CS4 and would like to transfer settings to the Creative Cloud version

When I try to open Dreamweaver CS4, I get a message asking me to install the Legacy Jave SE6 runtime. When I click on the link, I just get a blank white screen.
I have just downloaded the Creative Cloud version, and would like to transfer the settings for my websites from CS4.
I would be very grateful for any advise on what I can do.

Can't open CS4 files between Macs

Hi everyone,
I'm having real difficulties opening ANY CS4 files on an early model G5 power-pc Mac, that were originally created in CS4 on my relatively new Macbook Pro. Each file I try to open (this includes psds, indds, jpegs, pngs etc) comes up with a damaged file message. One exception is the case of Illustrator files, whereby I'm able to open them but any content is strangely absent, ie the artboard is blank.
Does anybody have any ideas what's going on? I'm completely dumbfounded!

Can't open CS4 upgrade.

Why can't Photoshop open the update? I don't have a zip program. I downloaded it to "open" , PS opened,but said it's "not the right kind of document". OK, How can it be opened? Thanks much.

Can you post the link to the exact file you downloaded? I'll try downloading it and opening it here with Vista.
FYI, if it's the file I think it is (Photoshop_11.0.2_mul_AdobeUpdate.zip), it opens just fine with all versions of Windows. I just downloaded and tested it. Please do not fixate on getting another piece of software to do what your system will do. There is likely a problem with your copy and no software will open it.
Photoshop_11.0.2_mul_AdobeUpdate.zip should be exactly 39,271,802 bytes in size.

Can't Open CS4

After no problems for well over a year I cannot get Photoshop 4 to open on my MacBook Pro. The error code is "150.30" and says something about a license issue. I just replaced my hard drive but re-loaded all the files from an external drive, which could be part of the problem. Any ideas on how to proceed?

you might wanna try http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/512/cpsid_51260.html. Adobe softwares should be re-installed they should not be copied from one drive to another. Licensing for this product error message will be your friend if you just copy the files. Hope this works!

I can't open CS4.

I get error code 148:3 Licensing for this product has stopped working. I recently installed Microsoft office 365 and had to delete the beta version that came with my computer in order for the installation to work. Any ideas on what happened?

Yosemite - No Longer Able to Open CS4 or CS5

Mac OS X 10.10.3
Photoshop CC, CS5 and CS4 on same computer - use Photoshop CC 99% of the time.
A few days ago updated from Mavericks to Yosemite (waited for teething problems to be sorted out)- prior to this (Mavericks) never had a problem dipping into CS4 to use Noise Ninja plug-in (depending on image noise - sometimes prefer to ACR noise reduction).
Yosemite always boots with the following message - To open "CS4ServiceManager" you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime. Also same message has appeared for CS5.
Problem is I have updated to Java 8 (latest version - April 2015).
Any workaround please?

Download and install this Java from Apple: Java for OS X 2014-001
If you still can't open CS4 or CS5, a reinstall will be needed. Yosemite has been know to break these older Photoshop installs.

Can not open Camera Raw in Bridge CS4, or see thumbnails

Camera Raw 5.2.0.65
I had another version of Camera Raw from PS3. When I bought the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, I deleted the old camera raw plug in, so as to not conflict with the new camera raw plug in.
When I open PS4, click Photoshop, click about plug in, ONLY one version of Camera Raw comes up.
In OS 10, when I click GO at the top, then applications, then Adobe Photoshop CS4, then Plug Ins, then File Formats, I get two Camera Raw icons: a blue lego like icon that says "Camera Raw.plugin" and another icon that looks like the Macintosh HD icon, but is labeled "CameraProfiles.dmg"
The problem is that I can't open files in Camera Raw when in Bridge CS4, nor can I see the little photo thumbnails either.
Can someone please help?

The Photoshop folder is NOT the correct location for the Camera Raw plug-in, since several versions of Photoshop.
The correct location, is, as described in the readme and in the FAQ of this very forum [hint]:
Mac: [root of your hard disk, NOT your user folder's library]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-ins/CS4/File Formats/

Snow Leopard 10.6.2 CS4 InDesign can't open files with a "#" in file path using any of these perfectly normal methods:
1. double-click file in the Finder (e.g in a Folder on your Mac or on your Mac desktop etc.)
2. select file and choose "File... Open" command-o in the Finder
3. drag file to the application icon in the Finder.
4. Select file in Bridge and double-click, choose File.. Open.. or Drag icon to InDesign icon in dock.
If you try to open an ID file named with a "#", you will get an error message "Missing required parameter 'from' for event 'open.'"
This happens to any InDesign file that has a "#" (pound sign, number sign, or hash) in the filename or in the file path (any parent folder).
To reproduce
Name an InDesign file Test#.idd Try to open it in the Finder or Bridge (as opposed to the "Open" dilaog of InDeisng itself).
"Solution"
The file WILL open using File... Open... command-o while in InDesign application.
Rename the file or folders that have a "#" (shift-3) in the filename.
Report to Adobe if it bugs you.
This does not occur in "plain" Leopard 10.5 nor Tiger 10.4
Untested in Panther or before and
Untested with CS3 and earlier in Snow Leaopard.
Anyone have those and want to try this... ?

In case this really bothers you: we've added a workaround for this into Soxy. If you enable the option, these documents will open fine on double-click.
You need Soxy 1.0.7 from:

Go to the 'Soxy' - 'Preferences' - 'Other' dialog window, and enable 'Open InDesign via Script'
(Irrelevant background info (it's all invisible to the user): the workaround works by special-casing how Soxy opens documents in InDesign: instead of using AppleScript, Soxy will use ExtendScript to instruct InDesign to open the document - which works fine).

Can't open canon raw files in cs4

I recently had to rebuild my pc after a problem that stopped a few of my programs working (I'd installed xampp so I could use wordpress on the pc but it stopped cs4, firefox, video studio and a bunch of other stuff working - removal and reinstalling did no use, I had to build a new disc).
I reinstalled cs4 and got all the updates but now I find I can't open can raw files with cs4 or bridge. I tried replacing the Camera Raw.8bi file with the latest file from adobe as per their web instructions but it still doesn't work. So I tried the adobe dng convertor (version 8.3) and ran the files through that, still no luck, I can't open the files.
I could open them wwith canons own software and save as a tiff, but then I'm losing a lot of information.
I'm still running vista home premium - no I can't upgrade to windows 8.1 and use the latest photoshop and lightroom software because 8.1 doesn't work with my nikon scanner or my epson large format printer. It doesn't like a few other items I have either.
I remember I had to download a few files a couple of years ago when I first bought the pc (a whole 3 years ago) as I was having trouble with photoshop and raw files then but I can't remember the name of the file or where I got it from.
Anyone able to help? much appreciated if you can.

Adobe told me to replace the relevant file, which I did. The trouble is that went I do this then 'camera raw' disappears from the 'help / plugins' list and there doesn't seem to be any way of getting back other than uninstalling and reinstalling cs4, and once I do this it overwrites the files again...
I can't remember having this trouble when I first installed it a couple of years ago but I do seem to remember having to replace a file somewhere but that may have been on an earlier version.
I have an old EOS 5d mk1 & a 7d mk1, so it's not as though the camera is unknown to cs4.

In the application folder there is a folder 'Adobe InDesign CS4' within which there is just the application file. I would expect there should be more file there??
I've un-installed and installed again - still the same.
Even downloaded the dmg again and done thwe whole thing over again.
