Can't open editor!

Can't open editor in PSE 10. Organizer will open but not editor. Using Windows 7.

Bypass the Unwelcome Screen by creating Desktop shortcuts for the Organizer and the Editor, and restarting your computer.
The Editor's executable is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
The Organizer's executable is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
The Unwelcome Screen leaves a zombie process running which prevents the actual program from launching again.

What computer operating system are you using? If Windows go to:
C:\Users\99jon\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Online Services
Inside the Online Services folder delete the Photoshop Elements 12.0.0 folder.
Re-launch Organizer and OLS should get recreated.
N.B substitute your user name for 99jon. If you can’t find AppData you may first need to enable the showing of hidden system files.
Follow these steps to display hidden files and folders.
Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.

Can't open Editor at all- using PSE 8 on XP

I tried to install actions from Pioneer Woman's site. Everything went fine, but the actions weren't there when it was all said and done. I did it all again, still no luck. Now Editor won't open at all (even though the computer claims that it is running and won't close during shut down). I decided to un and re install hoping to just get back to usable software. During the uninstall I got a msg that I had to deactivate the serial number by going to Help>deactivate. Ok. So I go looking but there is no deactivate under Help. FWIW, I bought a hard copy of this software- it's not a download or some such.
I'm really frustrated. Can anyone help?

Try Deleting Editor preferences before you try uninstall. It may work for you.
For deleting Editor preferences, Press Control+Alt+Shift while Editoe is being launched from Welcom screen. It will show a message if you want to edit Editor settings. Delete the preferences and relaunch.

Photoshop Elements 12 Can't open editor because it will not validate serial

I bought yesterday, will not work.I have try to reinstall , says my trial is over.. I had 38 people ahead of me on chat. Why will it not validate my serial. I have a working new serial. HELP!!!!!

HERE IS WHAT FIXED MY ISSUE when Organizer will open, but Editor will not:

     Rename SLCache folder present at location "<root drive:>\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache"
     Win: Also please rename opm.db on your machine to resolve this issue @ <root drive>\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
     Mac : Users Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
     Now re-launch the application.

Ringtones - can't open editor or move to folder or sync

I'm a new iphone user. I bought 3 ringtones from itunes. They show up in my itunes under "Purchased," and in my music library. They do not have the bell icon next to them as they did in the store window. I read through the forums and saw that I need to use the ringtone editor within the store window before purchasing and downloading. So I went back to the store window, selected a ringtone, clicked on the bell icon and it brought me to a "How To" page, not to the actual ringtone editor. So I tried selecting the ringtone and going to the "Store" menu and selecting "Create ringtone," but it is grayed out and not available as an option.
Am I S.O.L. on the three ringtones I bought that came into my itunes without the bell icon? How do I get the itunes store to identify what I bought as a ringtone? Thanks!

Can you play the song in iTunes?
Try highlighting the song in iTunes> click Store(at the top of the screen)> Create Ringtone.
What is the title of the song you are trying to make a ringtone from?

Can't open editor and library at same time to drag and drop.

I get one clip in project and can't import any others. I want to put a few short clips together. the manual isn't any help as some of the things they say to do, won't work on my computer. It's a brand new i7, windows 8, 64 bit. and everything works fine except I can't get more than one clip together in a project. I'm thinking I just don't know the combination of items to click. I spent 7 hours trying to learn by trial and error, that usually seems to work i.e. patience but I'm thinking there is something flawed in the software. Any suggetsions?

What happens if you drag a clip from Windows Explorer onto one of the video tracks in the Expert timeline?

Elements 8 won't open editor

I've been using elements 8 for about a year and all of a sudden as of today I can't open editor. I get an error message that says " Adobe has detected that the application ...... has unexpectedly quite" - crash report. No matter what I do I can't get into editor to edit a photo. How can I resolve this problem? Any help is appreciated.

I have bought a dvd of photoshop elements 12. I have installed it both as the licensed version and again as a trial version. I can open organiser but when I try to open editor it asks me to sign in. Ive tried it with my ID and also tried creating a new ID

Can't open iphoto file to edit in Elements 10 even though external editor is set

Right clicking on iphoto file, selecting "edit in external editor" resullts in spinning beach ball. Each attempt at opening a file initiates a reopening of Elements even though it is already opened.

Can you open images normally in Photoshop Elements? I would recommend including this information as well as which verson of iPhoto and Mac OS you are using to the Photoshop Elements forum. It might also possibly be a problem with iPhoto but the users in the Photoshop Elements forum should better be able to determine where the problem lies.

I can't open image files, or even drag images into PSE 12 Editor

So, this is very weird. I had PSE 10. About a week ago, it suddenly developed weird problems. Like, it wouldn't let me use Auto Levels, or let me crop an image, etc.
In frustration tonight, I bought PSE 12. Same exact problem, except worse. It literally won't let me open a JPG file.
I can use the File -> Open menu. I'm on a PC, so the usual file opening dialog appears. I select a JPG and click Open. And... nothing. The window closes, I'm back in the editor, but nothing's happened. (Oddly enough, it does appear in the "Open Recently Edited File" menu, but can't open it from there, either.)
I've tried dragging a JPG from a browser onto the editor's workspace. Doesn't work.
Anyone have any ideas?

Can't open image in external editor, can't export images

Greetings helpful Aperture experts,
I've just finished transferring aperture from one computer to a replacement unit. Except for being slow on my previous g5, it worked flawlessly at every level. However, now that I've xferred, I can't open Aperture images with an external editor, nor can I export the images to my desktop. Any help along these lines will be gigantically appreciated.

Thanks, ok, here is the info step by step:
When I try to pick any raw image, I am not able to export from Aperture. When I go into the finder and select "show master" then I am able to export from aperture. However, it seems that I am not able to export an image full size. I selected export image to full size jpg to my desktop. Nothing happens except that the window that indicates the image is exporting is open and it says estimated time less than a minute. Yet, there is nothing happening. Additionally, before I transferred Aperture over to my new g5, I could right click an image and had the option to open an image with external editor. Now, no such menu item is apparent. An update, the menu box that lets me know that my image is exporting is still open but there has been no progress. It will just sit there forever, or until I force Aperture to quit. Here's another strange goings on: One of my folders of raw images appear to be pixelated and of very poor quality, even when viewing the masters. The images have already been published by the client in their annual report, so I know that what I am seeing on the screen is not reality. Should I just uninstall Aperture and reinstall? Also, what will this do to the thousands of images in my libraries? Thanks so much for your input and help. In no way am I an expert, but I've been successfully using Aperture since it came out. That was on my G5 dual processor mac with pre intel configuration. Now, these strange things are happening with my new replacement G5 with the Intel processors. Thanks again.

You would need to update to PSE 12, or just keep using the DNG converter. Your camera requires ACR 8.4, which isn't compatible with PSE 11. It's also not compatible with PSE 12 if you are running Vista or XP.

Can't open Sculpture's editor interface in MainStage

I can't open the Editor view of the Sculpture plugin in Mainstage. The plugin functions perfectly in Logic, but not in Mainstage.
When I try to open the plugin the computer slows down for approx 2 mins before opening the Controls view. Everything works in this view and all my presets from Logic are available, but I would like to be able to experiment in the Editor view if at all possible. If I try to select Editor from the view menu the computer again slows down, and then eventually just reopens the Controls window.
Anyone else have this issue?

Maybe try deleting the app and reinstalling... Perhaps some of the graphics went missing. It works for me.
