Can't open F-Fox 4 in my iMac G5 w/PowerPC CPU; icon says "not supported on this system"

I have a somewhat old iMac G5 with what I believe is a Power PC CPU. I have used Firefox as long as I've had this. I just downloaded the new Firefox 4, and it shows a classic "NO" symbol (slashed circle) over the new Firefox 4 icon. When I click on the icon I get: "You cannot open the application "Firefox" because it is not supported on this system."
Must I go into mourning? Has CPU old age finally caught up with me? I LOVE Firefox; I hate Microsoft. Must I abandon my true love?

The latest official version that works on OS X 10.4 and PPC Macs is Firefox 3.6.16 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

Get older hardware that can run 10.6 or lower and the software will run.

Problem now resolved as I upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6. Seems App Store doesn't like anything previous to 10.6.

I can't open Fiefox4 cos "it is not supported on this system"also Firefox4 "can't be launched 10661.

I downloaded firefox4 but when I try to open it I get a box with "the app Firefox cannot be launched 10661".
When I go to applications I get a box"You cannot open the application because it is not supported on this system"
I am on a Mac osx.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox

Why will my address book not open it says not supported on this architecture

When I clicked on my address book widget a received a note that says "not supported on this architecture" and would not open my address book.
I have never had this problem before. Can anyone help me resolve this issue? I am not computer savy so please be patient with me.

Highlight a PDF in the Finder, do a Get Info on it, (CMD+i), what does it say for Open with? Or choose Open with... Preview.
Another test is to open Preview in Applications, then drag a PDF to Preview's icon in the Dock. What happens?

Run Software Update and see if there are more up-to-date drivers available for your device. If there are not then you will need to navigate to Canon's website and see if they have drivers available for your printer that support Lion and Mountain Lion.

I just upgraded my Mac from 10.5.8 to 10.8.2 and now having problems with connecting the scan option on my HP 6500 all-in-one wireless printer. Tried uninstalling followed by downloading from the apple site. It will scan using the scan utility but not otherwise. Anyone have a similar problem?

Correct Rosetta, which allowed running PPC Apps on IntelMacs, was dropped after 10.6.8

You will need to go to the Dell site and get the latest software for the printer.
As the message states PowerPc apps are not supported in Mavericks. They haven't been supported since Lion. The last OS to be able to run them was Snow Leopard.
