Can't open google sit

why i can't see video on firefox page specially youtub?
== URL of affected sites ==

Did you intend to be using Firefox 3.0 beta 5? This is an extremely outdated version of Firefox.
If you think you are using the latest version:
*Type ''about:config'' in the URL bar and hit Enter
*If you see a warning, you can confirm you want to proceed.
*Filter = '''general.useragent'''.
*Right-click the preferences that are bold, one line at a time, and select Reset,
*Then restart Firefox
Make sure you are using a supported version of Firefox by upgrading from http://www.getfirefox.com
You're using an old version of the Flash plugin, which can cause problems. First update your installation of Flash. See [[Managing the Flash plugin]]
What is the problem exactly? You can't open sites? Or just that YouTube videos won't play, or both?
See [[Error loading websites]].

  • I can not open different sites after installing itunes. Why?

I can not open different sites after installing itunes. I can`t open google.com or youtube.com. Why?

Before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff: What version of iPhoto. What version of the Operating System. Details. What were you doing when the problem arose? Did it ever work properly? Step-by-step descriptions of how you got to this issue. If something doesn't work, are there error messages? What happens when you try to do this thing? And what steps have you tried already to solve the issue. With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.
Posts that consist of "iPhoto doesn't work. Help" or "iPhoto won't print" or "Suddenly I have no photos!!!!!!!!!!" mean that a helper is simply guessing. With information, s/he may be able to get your issue resolved sooner.

  • Can't open Google and Youtube

    I use Safari 7.0.5
Can't open google or youtube. It keeps saying I need to update flash player.
and I can't use chat on Facebook this one keeps saying This message failed to send. Click to send again.
Then I tried to reload page. It wouldn't be able to open Facebook at all.
I clear cache and reset safari. I reboot router and my mac book pro (version. 10.9.4)
I have no idea. Please help.

The update alerts are fake, and are intended to dupe you into installing malware or disclosing private information so that your identity can be stolen.
You might get the alerts when visiting a website that has been hacked. Don't visit the site again. If applicable, notify the site administrator of the problem, but don't send email to an unknown party.
If you get the alerts when visiting more than one well-known website, such as Google, YouTube, or Facebook, then they may be the result of an attack on your router that has caused you to get false results from looking up the addresses of Internet servers. Requests sent to those sites are redirected to a server controlled by the attacker. It's possible, but less likely, that the DNS server used by your ISP has been attacked, but you should assume that the router is at fault until proven otherwise.
The router's documentation should tell you how to reset it to the factory default state. Usually there's a pinhole switch somewhere in the back. It may be labeled "RESET." Insert the end of a straightened paper clip or a similar tool and press the button inside for perhaps 15 seconds, or as long as the instructions specify.
After resetting the router, quit the web browser and relaunch it while holding down the shift key. From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Do the equivalent if you use another browser. Open the Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize.
Then go through the router's initial setup procedure. I can't be specific, because it's different for every model. The key points are these:
    1. Don't allow the router to be administered from the WAN (Internet) port, if it has that option. Most do.
    2. Set a strong password to protect the router's settings: at least ten random upper- and lower-case letters and digits.  Don't use the default password or any other that could be guessed. Any password that you can remember is weak.
    3. If the router is wireless, or if you have a wireless access point on the network, use "WPA 2 Personal" security and set a different strong password to protect the network. If the router or access point doesn't support WPA 2, it's obsolete and must be replaced.
During the time the router was compromised, you were redirected to bogus websites. If you ever connected to a secure site and got a warning from your browser that the identity of the server could not be verified, and you dismissed that warning in order to log in, assume that your credentials for the site have been stolen and that the attacker has control of the account. This warning also applies to all websites on which you saw the fake update alerts.
Check the router manufacturer's website for a firmware update.
If you downloaded and installed what you thought was a software update, ask for instructions.

  • Help! pagecentent.setAttributes, IE can not open the site

    Hi there,
I have some scriplets in my jsp file.
I the scriplets I used pagecontent.setAttribute("varname", varvalue) so that i can use varname in my jstl code.
My jsp file is about getting some image file and print its string format.
I run the url and it works at first, but after load the page several times, I got the error messge:
Internet Explore can not open the site http://....
I click refresh, sometime it works, some time not. The more times I load the page, the more often the error shows up.
Does anybody have any ideas about this error?
Does mix scriplet var with jstl var often cause problem?
    Thanks a lot.

i think you might have to give a bit more detail...its easy to mark this as a IE configuration problem the way you have it....caching? does it behave differently if you 'click refresh' or hit F5? seems stupid but F5 always does a true page refresh. links and the refresh button seem to grab from cache even when they're not supposed to. i've also dealt with annoying proxy servers that ignore the response.setDateHeader ("Expires", 0); directive.
i apologize if i'm on the wrong track, but any sort of java errors would usually show up in a log or something...see if you can find that to debug any syntax problems.

  • Can't open file "~/sites/index.html." in iWeb09

I have been searching through posts and I have noticed some that are very similar to this question, but are not exactly related. My domain file worked fine before upgrading to iWeb09. Now I get the error: can't open file "~/sites/index.html." Has anyone found a way to import the iWeb08 domain file into version 09?
Nice job Apple! How can you release a product that does not correctly import or update the file from the previous version(s)? There is no way that you could have missed this in testing...

You will never be able to open this file with iWeb, because, as it states it is a User/Sites/index.html file and iWeb cannot open this files - anything with html on the end of it is already published and iWeb cannot open this. It is not the same as your domain file.
Go to User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites and try opening your domain file, rather than something that is already published. iWeb cannot import - at least not published pages.

  • Why I can't open google maps on Safari? Everything have been working normally with my computer. But this problem with google maps I can't fix

Why I can't open google maps on Safari? Everything have been working normally with my computer. But this problem with google maps I can't fix

Do you have an example? I develop Google maps for Web pages and haven't had problem with Safari and its extensions, only FF which I took out all the addons and plug-ins, but it wouldn't surprise if the Google map code doesn't display the map or information for the map or doesn't work with newer versions of Safari.

  • IWeb Can't open file "~/Sites/index.html."

when trying to either launch iWeb or open one of my web pages - I get an iWeb dialog box that states "Can't open file "~/Sites/index.html."
    any advice?

    Hello Felicia,
iWeb is not capable of opening "HTML" files iWeb will only open a ".sites2" file type which is an iWeb domain file type. I would suggest doing a search for ".sites2" on your computer

  • Can't open google using any browsers in mac

Recently I can't open google and any google related websites like google translate using my macbook pro.
I have tried different browsers, like firefox, safari and google chrome. None of them works.
Also, I tried different network. I have tried to open google under my home network, my office network and other public networks. None of them works.
And I have tried using Network Utility to tracerout. It can't stop and keep tracing. Shown as below.
I have been struggling with this problem for couple of days.
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks a lot!

DNS Information - Check to see if an extra entry is present in the DNS Tab for your wireless connection (System Preferences/Network/Airport/Advanced/DNS).Delete all extra entries that you find.
Place a check mark next to "Remember networks this computer has joined."
Non-responsive DNS server or invalid DNS configuration can cause long delay before webpages load

  • When I try to open iweb I get the following message: Can't open file "~/Sites/NAVIGATOR/index.html." How do I fix this? Using 10.6.3 soon to be 10.6.6 and then Lion.

When I try to open iweb I get the following message: Can’t open file “~/Sites/NAVIGATOR/index.html.” How do I fix this? Using 10.6.3 soon to be 10.6.6 and then Lion. I have never opened the product before and have had it on the computer since new.

Go into your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and see if there's a file titled Domain.sites.  If there is double click on it and see if iWeb opens.
If there is no Domain file there do the following:
delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
    launch iWeb and try again.

  • Leopard can't open Google Earth

After upgrading to Leopard, my eMac can't open Google Earth v.4.0. Do I have to add more memory?

John, your configuration should work for Google Earth. However I suggest you download the 4.2.x update and instal it. Both the update and the re-installation may fix your problem.

  • Safari can't open Google website

For the last couple of days, my default search engine (www.google.com) was not searching, and giving me following error:
Safari can’t open the page “http://www.google.com/” because Safari can’t connect to the server “www.google.com”.
I went through pages in support about problems with third-party plugins. I've tried un-checking "Enable plug-ins"; Resetting Safari; Emptying Cache; Re-starting Safari and computer, nothing has worked. Other search engines are working e.g. bing, yahoo. I can't open any of google websites from .com or .co.uk or gmail. I've just tried using Firefox and it also can't open google websites.
    I'm using Safari 5.0.3 (5533.19.4) on a Mac OS X 10.5.8.
I had Glims installed on my machine, which I just un-installed it; re-started; re-set safari, but still can't open google website.
As far other websites are concern, so far all the websites which are in frequent use can open. Is there problem with Google, Safari/Firefox (browser) or my mac (virus or something)?
    Thanks a lot everyone.
PS: Oh yes. I got update on Safari yesterday, is that causing any issues?

I had the same problem too.
I searched by using bing.com (fortunately MS search engin has helped me )
    I found a archived post https://discussions.apple.com/message/11061084#11061084
I did what Carolyn said and I also checked the PeerGuardian app
but I don't think it's because of this app that my connection wasn't possible, because I rarely use it.
    Et voilà, everything works now.
I'd like to thank Carolyn and Rave for allowing me to do not format my dear iBook G4 that I haven't formated for over 3 years!!! (I've done the whole backup of my iBook)

  • Why safari can't open google and google related sites

hi, I rebooted my 13' macbook(silver) with 10.5.8 few days ago.  I'm using Safari Version 5.0.6 (5533.22.3). Like 2-3 days ago google sites stopped working on safari all of sudden, all the other sites work alrght. Plz help?? Oh yes and I also installed a app Candybar to customize the dock(guess wouldnt hav to do anything with google). Any answers plz??

From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons, click Reset.
If that didn't help, third party add ons often create incompatibiilty issues with the Mac OS X.
Open a Finder window. Select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left.
Now open the Library folder then the Application Support folder.
Move the CandyBar folder to the Trash. (Don't empty the Trash.)
Restart your Mac, launch Safari, try Google.
If it's ok, then go ahead and empty the Trash. You also need to go to ~/Library/Preferences.
Move the com.panic.CandyBar3.plist file to the Trash.
~ (Tilde) represents your Home folder.

  • I can't open Google Browser window

I use Mac os 10.6.8 and today my computer was really slow so I decided to shut down all open programs including Google Chrome. However, after I restarted the computer, the Google Chrome browser wouldn't open.
This has happened to me before several times and it was a simple matter of restarting the computer and it would work again.
    However, it wouldn't do this.
I went to Library and saved the bookmarks and bookmarks.bak files.
I then downloaded Google Chrome.dmg and then replaced the old Google chrome in Apps with the new one. However, the browser window still wouldn't open.
I tried trashing everything - old version and new version and then installing Google Chrome again but the window still doesn't open.
I don't know if this is related but I installed CNet downloader recently by mistake and this changed all my browsers - I had new search engines and so on put in there by CNet downloader.
I had to reset some of the settings in Chrome.
I want to get rid of the downloader but don't know where to find it to get rid of it.
I am worried that the downloader from CNET is causing problems with opening Chrome because I know Yahoo! and Google are competitors ...
I may be being paranoid here. It's just that I have never had such a big problem opening Google Chrome in the past.
I really depend on Chrome for everything as a browser. How can I get the browser to open? I haven't deleted the Chrome folder in the Library/Application Support because I am not technically minded and I don't want to delete something and regret it later.
However, I have been trying to install and open the Chrome browser several times now, deleting the application from the Applications folder several times, restarting my computer, to no avail.
So I have come here to get help as I browsed the web but did not find anything helpful especially for mac users.

Thank you for your advice, Roger. I will try it next time I run into this problem. I read your answer after I tried something else.
I deleted everything - Chrome from Applications and the Chrome folder from Library/Applications Support and then I reinstalled Chrome again. And I also went to System Preferences and I went to Security and Advanced and then added Google Chrome to the list.
After I did this, I was able to get a working Chrome browser.
But I ran into another problem. Even though I had saved the bookmarks by copying the Bookmarks file onto an external drive, when it came to importing them (as an html file) into the new Chrome, using the Bookmarks manager, it didn't work. So I had to delete the Bookmarks file and bak file from the Library/Applications Support site and then place the saved bookmarks files there. And now the bookmarks appear fine in the new downloaded browser.
I think I should try and disable the automatic update of Google feature for the future because I think that's how the problem starts. (Also, I deleted a folder named Spigots from Library because I think that's the CNET downloader application that changes your browsers and changes search engines and adds other things as well.)
