  • Can't open Reader V9. Says part of suite (CS4 Web Design), need to open other module.  but getting error message 148.3

    I'm running Windows 8.1.  I had to create a new account identity because of some corrupted files.  Now I can't open Reader V9. Message comes up saying it's part of a Suite (CS4 Web Design) and I need to open other module first.  I tried opening Dreamweaver, got error message 148.3 and program closes, says to contact customer support.  My CS4 Seb design suite is old and I've since gotten PS Extended CS5 and PS Extended CS6, but not a whole Suite.  Perhaps the license needs to be re-entered but the program closes before I can do anything.  Please advise.

    What is your operating system?  Can you post a screenshot of that message: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1070933
    I also think you should use a newer Reader version on Windows 8.x, i.e. 10.1.10 or 11.0.07.

    Uhhhhh... Thank GOD... Got all of my files.
    Spent some time on the phone with Apple Care... who was great to deal with but actually... not as helpful as I was hoping. It was suggested that I try DiskWarrior 4 to try to recover the files. $108 later, I had no files.
    More calls with Apple Care and they were pretty sure that everything was gone since once the External drive was installed, like a moron, I let TimeMachine go ahead and back up my new MacBook... so it overwrote who knows how many gig that was my entire MacBook.
    I wasn't giving up so I called Maxtor, the manufacturer of the external drive itself. They suggested file recovery software from I365... which is also a Seagate company (the makers of the drive). The suggested I simply use their demo because the demo version would find the files. If it found them, I could buy the software to restore them.
    It found them! Another $129 after and I was able to restore all of them back to my old PC laptop.
    NOW, I just need to figure out how to get the 50gig of HD video files off of my old laptop now and into my Mac and IMovie so I can actually make some DVDs out of them!
    I get that Macs and PCs are different formats but I think it is ridiculous that formatting still means basically just wiping out or at least treating massive lots of old data as if it isn't there. There's gotta be a better way to do that.

    Is the ftp daemon that you use provided by the Solaris media ? If this is not the case, then would recommend to contact the software maintainer for more help.
    And regarding chroot, please check this URL to know what it is : Sandbox (computer security) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    Depending how this environment is configured, the library is maybe not present in this one.

    With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
    Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
    Restart the programme all should be well
    In case that your OS is (64 bit)
    1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
    3. Now paste it in the folder  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    4. Restart the programme, it should not display that message, it should be clear.

  • Display values of Microsoft.IIs.PowerShell.Framework.ConfigurationElement in Powershell

    Hi all
    As part of my struggle to write a comprehensive script to deploy web applications to the servers of the company that I work for, I have coded a part of the script which displays the properties of the necessary application pools.  This is shown below:
    Get-Item -Path $POOLPATH | Format-List *
    And it returns information in this form:
    name : DefaultAppPool
    queueLength : 1000
    autoStart : True
    enable32BitAppOnWin64 : False
    managedRuntimeVersion : v4.0
    managedRuntimeLoader : webengine4.dll
    enableConfigurationOverride : True
    managedPipelineMode : Integrated
    CLRConfigFile :
    passAnonymousToken : True
    startMode : OnDemand
    state : Started
    applicationPoolSid : S-1-5-82-3006700770-424185619-1745488364-794895919-4004696415
    processModel : Microsoft.IIs.PowerShell.Framework.ConfigurationElement
    recycling : Microsoft.IIs.PowerShell.Framework.ConfigurationElement
    failure : Microsoft.IIs.PowerShell.Framework.ConfigurationElement
    cpu : Microsoft.IIs.PowerShell.Framework.ConfigurationElement
    workerProcesses : Microsoft.IIs.PowerShell.Framework.ConfigurationElement
    ItemXPath : /system.applicationHost/applicationPools/add[@name='DefaultAppPool']
    PSPath : WebAdministration::\\ITPCWXG4\AppPools\DefaultAppPool
    PSParentPath : WebAdministration::\\ITPCWXG4\AppPools
    PSChildName : DefaultAppPool
    PSDrive : IIS
    PSProvider : WebAdministration
    PSIsContainer : True
    Attributes : {name, queueLength, autoStart, enable32BitAppOnWin64...}
    ChildElements : {processModel, recycling, failure, cpu...}
    ElementTagName : add
    Methods : {Start, Stop, Recycle}
    Schema : Microsoft.IIs.PowerShell.Framework.ConfigurationElementSchema
    My question is, how do I get the information for the properties displaying "Microsoft.IIs.PowerShell.Framework.ConfigurationElement" to show?

    I don't think Get-Item will show that information. Do you have Web Adminisration module installed?
    Then you can try the below
    get-website -name "Default Web Site" | select -ExpandProperty ProcessModel | Select -ExpandProperty Collection
    get-website -name "Default Web Site" | select -ExpandProperty Recycling | Select -ExpandProperty Collection

  • Importing PowerShell module in C#

    I'm trying to write some C# code to interact with Lync using PowerShell, and I need to import the Lync module before executing the
    Lync cmdlets. However, my code doesn't seem to import the module and I keep getting a "get-csuser command not found" exception. Here is my code:
    PowerShell ps = PowerShell.Create();
    ps.AddScript(@"import-module Lync");
    ps.Invoke();
    ps.Commands.AddCommand("Get-csuser");
    foreach (PSObject result in ps.Invoke())
    Console.WriteLine(result.Members["Name"].Value);
    Any idea how can I import the Lync module?

    Got it, the module needs to be imported by its full path, and also the execution policy for both 64-bit powershell and 32-bit powershell
    need to be set to Unrestricted (or anything other than restricted depending on your case). Here's the code:
    static void Main(string[] args)
    InitialSessionState initial = InitialSessionState.CreateDefault();
    initial.ImportPSModule(new string[] {"C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\Microsoft Lync Server 2010\\Modules\\Lync\\Lync.psd1"} );
    Runspace runspace = RunspaceFactory.CreateRunspace(initial);
    runspace.Open();
    PowerShell ps = PowerShell.Create();
    ps.Runspace = runspace;
    ps.Commands.AddCommand("Get-csuser");
    foreach (PSObject result in ps.Invoke())
    Console.WriteLine(result.Members["Identity"].Value);

  • Invoking Powershell modules on remote clients via package/command line

    Hello Everyone -
    I have two modules(functions) that i've written and tested successfully locally in my environment that give me Uninstall and Repair functionality on whatever the string contains. Both .psm1's are delivered via a SCCM pkg that lands both into folders
    in the Modules directory. My issue is I can't seem to invoke this in a deployment scenario...as i'd like to deliver the "Invoke-command" using SCCM's command line to simply say...
    Invoke-Command -scriptblock { Do-This "<string>" }
    The above command works fine locally when...(exePol is set to Bypass).
    1.)Modules have respective folders living in WindowsPowershell\Modules directory named xxxx.psm1
    2.)Import-Module -name <path\name of module>
    3.)Verify Modules are loaded(moduleType is script)
    But when fabricating the folders\files above with SCCM, and running the Invoke-Command(in many different ways remotely), i recieve the cmdlet, program doesn't exist and has no idea what i'm talking about. Folders\Files for .psm1's are present and do
    show when running Get-Module -Listavailable locally on targeted clients.
    Maybe this is related to the Import-Module command and the context i'm trying to delivery it in?
    I've tried multiple scenario's of...
    A.) Psexec that launches powershell, followed by the Import-Module -name <path\name of module>
    B.) .Bat file that launches powershell with the same Import-Module syntax
    C.) PS1 that includes the same Import-Module line.
    D.) Just straight from the command line of the Pkg/Program.
    Has anyone tried this? Is there a better method when trying to deliver invoke-command on a module/function to a client via SCCM?
    TIA

    [I see that the you are running the powershell.exe and then importing the module in the command line for the Program you created in SCCM, so just importing the module will do the repair action for you ??]
    Not sure how else i would run a Import-Module without calling upon powershell.exe. The reason for using Import-Module first is it only creates the abilty of whatever the module(function in this case) on the client. So if i can get the remote
    Import-Module to work, which would then allow me in the future to use an Invoke-Command -scriptblock { Do-This "string" } on the clients. In this case its both an Uninstall and Repair function with an assortment of switches and arguements that will aide me
    in the future in managing our apps. For me to use the Modules, i would need to Invoke-Command as that is how the functions are built.
    Okey so the module does get dumped to the end machine.
    Suppose you have a test machine TEST01 where the Test.psm1 file  (having Test-Function)is delivered through SCCM.
    Then try this and tell if it works:
    PS C:\> $session = New-PSSession -ComputerName TEST01
    PS C:\> Invoke-Command -Session $session -ScriptBlock {Import-Module Test.psm1 }
    PS C:\> Invoke-Command -Session $session -ScriptBlock {Test-Function #inside your Module}#Or Simply try below:
    PS C:\> Invoke-Command -ComputerName TEST01 -ScriptBlock {Import-Modules Test.psm1;Test-Function #inside your Module}
    I think what you are doing is below.....for the example am taking "webadministration" module:
    PS C:\> Invoke-Command -ComputerName Server01 -ScriptBlock {Import-Module web*}
    PS C:\> Invoke-Command -ComputerName Server01 -ScriptBlock {get-website}
    The term 'get-website' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check
    the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.
    + CategoryInfo : ObjectNotFound: (get-website:String) [], CommandNotFoundException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : CommandNotFoundException
    + PSComputerName : sdwuweb017
    Point here is you need to import the module and work with it in an already opened session....If you specify a computername every time then PowerShell opens the Session does what you want it to do and tears down the session. To persist the importing of the
    module it must be done in a session which we make using New-PSSession and then run the commands against that session.
    I might have misunderstood the problem but this is what I have got so far.
    Hope this helps

  • Mess with accounts in OneNote and OneDrive for Business - can't open documents from Office 365

    Hello!
    [Reposted from
    here]
    I've got Office 365 subscription (E3) with Office.
    I can view and edit OneNote notebooks on Office 365 via browser, but can't open it in OneNote.
    The similar problem exists for OneDrive for Business - some libraries are syncing, some cannot - asking for Enter credentials, but when I click - nothing happens.
    There were two accounts bound to Office 2013 - personal Microsoft ID as primary account and corporate Office 365 linked to it.
    Windows 8.1 corporate profile is linked to Microsoft ID account as well.
    Something happen with these accounts after password was changed - it seems like some account information was cached and can't be cleaned.
    I tried to uninstall Office and install it - no success.
    I cleaned computer with
    this utility from Support - no luck.
    On other Windows 8.1 computer I created new profile (with Microsoft ID account) - surprise, there are problems there as well.
    I deleted all Office15 entries from Credentials Manager - Office asked me about Office 365 login/password - I entered them, it is syncing, Haliluja, but, when Microsoft ID account was linked to Office 365 account in Office - problem appears again.
    It seems that Office 2013 uses Microsoft ID credentials for Office 365 content.
    I'd like to use Microsoft ID as primary account for Office and link Office 365 account to it, but don't want such problems. It worked fine, but I don't know what happened and how it can be analyzed and fixed.
    Update: It seems I localized the problem, but still don't know the solution.
    Scenario to reproduce error for me:
    1. Create fresh new Corporate/Domain user profile on Windows 8.1 with Office Pro 365 installed on computer with latest updates
    2. Go to SharePoint Online and browse some Libraries and OneNote notebooks - all ok
    3. Start to sync them using OneNote and OneDrive for Business - ok
    4. Link Microsoft Account with Corporate Account in Windows 8.1 - ok
    5. Syncing of _some_ (not all) Office 365 libraries and notebooks stop working - errors with access, permissions. I'm trying to enter credentials but this doesn't help
    6. Disconnect Microsoft Account and Reboot - all libraries and notebooks of Office 365 work fine again. But OneNote notebooks from OneDrive stop working :)
    How I can fix this situation and have Microsoft and Corporate account connected?

    Update 2:
    I installed PowerShell for SharePoint online cmdlets and found this user using get-SPOUser.
    I removed this user using remove-SPOUser -site
    https://mysitename.sharepoint.com -LoginName
    [email protected]
    but when I'm trying to access sharepoint from the browser with Microsoft account credentials - new record for this user is created again and I can see it with get-SPOUser :(
    So, problem is still not solved - this user is still can be authenticated (there is no such user in SharePoint site collection, there is no such user profile) and Office 2013 syncing doesn't work for Office 365 due this mess with accounts.
    I know that I can remove Sharing with external users from Site Collection and information about these users will be permanently deleted - but I don't want to do this, there are several customers who work with our documents.

  • OneNote recordings "We're sorry, we can't open the file because it is in use by another program."

    Constantly, OneNote breaks and screws up my recordings that are synced with my lectures. It is such a fragile process and very frustrating. As soon as I'm done recording, I press stop. When I test the recording, it says, "We're sorry, we can't open
    the file because it is in use by another program." I just recorded and then stopped it. If i close and reopen OneNote, it says, "oneNote is cleaning up from the last time it was open." And the recording still says it's in use by another program.
    I've even restarted the laptop and it still won't open. The only way i could salvage the file is if I copy and paste it into another folder, and then it will open through windows media player, but all the live syncing with my notes are gone. Where are these
    files stored? If I could save the sound and find the file/format that holds the syncing data again, I could work around this. They are no where to be found on my computer. Other forums give locations, but my folders are empty. Some other recordings work and
    sync nicely, but I have still lost many recordings to this error. However, if I play a file and then close it without stopping playback, that file, too, will now be unusable. It will be stuck as "We're sorry, we can't open..." no matter what i do
    and again i have to copy/paste it into a new folder and then move it back. I had the same problem on my last laptop. I record in Windows Media Audio 10 Professional at 192 kbs, 48 kHz, and stereo CBR. I need the high quality because the lecturer is too quiet.
    It seems to happen when I record long lectures, 45 min+. Shorter recordings tend to work fine.
    Please help, this would make note taking so much easier.

    A bit of a confusion on my part;
    Now we have created these REPORTS using Basic Crystal Report 10.5, which comes bundled with Visual Studio 2008 and .Net Framework 3.0. Now on our machines, we have never experienced any issues.
    Going by the above, you should have references to CR assemblies of version 10.5.3700 only. No other references.
    Now, looking at this paragraph:
    BUT on the DEV server (web server) which has .net Framework 3.0 and in its GAC its has CRYSTAL DLLs version 11.5 (required to create an Object of ReportClass and its related functions) ; sometimes we get the following error while exporting crystal report to pdf:
    I wonder what runtime was deployed to the server. E.g.; if you are using CR 10.5, your assemblies will be 10.5.3700 and you should be deploying the following runtime (depending on 32 bit / 64 bit, etc.):
    CRRedist2008_ia64.msi
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006255262008E/CRRedist2008_ia64.zip

  • Can't open Safari 5.1.7 in 10.6.8 on Macbookpro

    Dear fellow Mac users,
    Today I got a Software notification to upgrade to Safari 5.1.7 and there was also a Java update. I went ahead and subsequently I can't open Safari without getting the 'there was a problem' messgae. So I started searching this forum and found a few things. I downloaded the MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.8 as someone said this resolved their problem but it resulted in giving me Safari 5.05 which also had problems so I downloaded Safari 5.1.7 and updated it and it wouldn't open again. I also tried logging in on a different account and still it wouldn't open. Now I'm a bit stuck and am not sure what to look for in this report below. Does anyone else have any wisdom as to what mgiht be the problem. Many thanks in advance Damon

    "This crash has nothing to do with extensions or with SIMBL"
    Great, so now we've been able to rule out a few possibilities either by analysis or empirical testing...
    I came here because I was helping out some people who did have problems with SafariStand and Security update 2013-001 for Snow Leopard and this was one of the "More like this" linked by apple discussions.
    Hopefully DamonUK followed your initial advice and has resolved his problems. Probably I should have noticed that you gave the best solution without needing to explain the log. But seeing as he has not responded to your initial post or marked it as answered I have offered my limited expereience too.
    FWIW I can see that there is no mention of SIMBL or its plugins in the list of binary images in the crash log but how can you tell from the log that this doesn't involve extensions? What would be different if it did involve them?
    I mean, is this because of an absense in the log (like even I can see that SIMBL isn't there) or becasue the OP's description and Dyld Error Message preclude it being an extensions issue?
    ( Don't worry I'm not requesting a tutorial - no doubt I can find one online if I want to learn in depth - but you clearly know what you're talking about so I'm interested how your conclusions are reached. )
    "Networking is not disabled in safe mode."
    I'm happy to be corrected if I have given factually wrong information.
    I should have said WiFi is generally disabled in Safe Boot mode in Snow Leopard and others (along with Spotlight in my experience). As most people network via wifi these days, there is a strong probability that wifi won't work for DamonUK, though ethernet networking is still available.
    "Repairing permissions is a waste of time unless you have an indication of a permission error involving system files, which this poster does not."
    Nonetheless, as I stated, "it never harms to run disk utility and repair permissions when in Safe mode."
    True, repairing permissions not the panacea many believe it to be, but it does no harm and some users will be surprised at the permissions errors that do get picked up over time (excluding the numerous repeated ones that Apple says it is safe to ignore).
    Finally, I would think that a dyld error won't be harmed and wonder if it might even be helped by a safe boot as it removes dynamic loader shared caches at /var/db/dyld/
    I don't know if Safe Boot will help (I understand it is usually helpful in a bluescreen boot siuation) but it won't harm and if he finds he can launch Safari in safe mode, at least that is progress.

  • Error: can't open file (-43)

    Hi Guys,
    I am a newbie to iphone development....I was trying my hand on audio recording module using apple SpeakHere demo....
    The problem is that I want to save the audio file in NSDocumentDirectory and want to playback the audio recorded from there...
    But if i am changing the path from NNSTemporaryDirectory to NSDocumentDirectory i got error stating "can't open file (-43)".
    I searched forum , but did not found any satisfactory answer...Can any body please tell me a way how to overcome this error.
    Waiting for your valuable suggestion.
    Thanks in advance
    Quest.

    It would be best to post a little example code showing where your problem is.
