Can't open Inspector pages

In Pages (iWork09), suddenly today I can't open Inspector. When I use the normal links (icon on toolbar, shortcut keys, the View menu), the Hyperlinks panel opens. I have already removed application (and plist) and re-installed iWork09 from my DVD. It didn't help.

It would have been nice, for me, to have the word "Inspector" appear above the word "Link" but, since it doesn't, I will just have to remember in the future!
That's what I would have guessed. You'll get used to the interface.

It appears that you are launching the old version, probably using an icon in your Dock. That icon is an alias & is not updated. You will need to go to your Applications folder & find the new Pages 5 icon & double-click it. Once it is launched, you can right-click on the icon & choose Options > keep in Dock from the contextual menu.

I just bought my iPhone. The first time I attempted to log onto my home wireless network (US Robotics Wireless Router) the iPhone performed perfectly. However, the next time I attempted to logon and surf it gave me the "Safari can't open the page because it can't find the server" error message. I tried a variety of things which didn't work. I called the Apple Tech Support. Turning off the router and rebooting it was the only thing that worked. I thought my problem was resolved because after cycling the router the iPhone worked great once again. But . . . later the same day I attempted to connect to the router and the same thing happened and I got the error message. I attempted to power cycle the router just like before but this time it did not work! Help! Bad router? Wrong settings on router or iPhone?

Do you have other wireless devices connected to this same router? Do they work?
I really can't help you much but to say that when my router exhibited this issue it was accross the board (all notebooks would connect immediately following a router restart, but would loss connectivity until I rebooted the router again). In my case the only solution that was permanent was to replace the router.
You may also try restarting the phone and the router, setup security - WEP - (or disable security) on the router and phone, and/or try a different wi-fi channel (may actually help).

Safari 4 can't open some pages not beta

please if somebody have the solution the problem is:
i did software update and i downloaded safari 4 and install it .. but safari 4 cant open some pages such as...omm may be i can't post other web here.. when i try to go to some web site (not all) this msg come up

so i did repair permission and verify permission ... not work
i did reset safari.. it work once ( i can open page put when i click any link inside it the "safari can't open the page..." show again) and when i press back botton it also show safari can't open the page and i did safari reset again and also the same problem!!!
i did re- install safari and did repair permission and my mbp up to date but seems i can't browse this web site from my mbp with safari 4 ...

The LLBean site loads just fine for me. Besides, the "lost network connection" error and the inability to load Apple feedback page make me think the problem is not necessarily with Java or with one site.

Pages '09 will open .doc files from Word 2004. The Mac OS is not what is in question. Pages '09 opens Word 2004 documents and if the same version of Pages will run in Lion and in Mountain Lion ..... Thats all that matters.
I trust you were using MS Office 2004 and would now like to buy Pages?

Safari can't open the page on craigslist

can someone help solve my issue: i'm trying to post a sale on craigslist and when i continue to post, safari can't open the page on craigslist because server unexpectedly dropped the connection.
i've gone into preference and cleared the cache but for the thousandth time, i still get the try back later. its frustrating. and i'm new to mac.

Hi, I just tried getting rid of install mac? genio on my Mac Pro. and now I can't open a page in safari. it says safari can't open the page "google/co.uk" because the server where this page is located isn't responding.

Mountain Lion is the second release of OS X to be delivered via the Mac App Store. Like with Lion, users can create their own bootable USB key installer to use as a recovery disk or to install Mountain Lion on multiple Macs without needing to download the 4GB installer multiple times.
Ars Technica has an excellent walk-through using either the Disk Utility application that is included on every Mac, or the newly updated Lion Diskmaker app that automates the process of creating a bootable install key.
The biggest catch to the whole process is to make a copy of the Mountain Lion installer before actually installing Mountain Lion, otherwise the installer will need to be redownloaded from the Mac App Store.

I can't open any pages document

My associate hasn't executed an apple update in some time. I typically do. For over a month, he can't open any Pages doucment I send him.
Last night, I did an apple Update for pages that Apple had been requesting I do for about a month. Now, I can't open any of my own pages documents in 4.3 or 5.0.1. Documents I created yesterady I can't open. I'm infuriated with Apple as every recommended update seems to trigger something else to not work as intended. I'm constactly playing IT guy trying to simply keep thinks working as they're supposed to. Can anyone help? Thanks

Since you have already updated to Pages 5.2 on your Mac, you have two versions of Pages on your Mac & are trying to open Pages 5 documents with Pages 4. Are you launching Pages from an icon in your Dock? Installing the update does not change the Dock icons & it does not remove the older versions. Go to your Applications folder & launch the new Pages from there then right-click on the Dock icon & select Options > Keep in Dock.
Installing new versions of iWork has never replaced existing versions. This is nothing new. The only thing new is that the '09 apps are moved to an iWork '09 folder if they were purchased from the Mac App Store. If they were installed from disk they should already be in a separate folder in Applications.

I can't open a pages document. It says I need a new version of pages. I searched for upgrades but can't find any. Am I being forced to re-buy the program in order to access my documents? I looked into upgrading operating system, but Mavericks says I can't - my machine is too old? Seriously? It is starting to look like upgrades are breaking what otherwise worked fine, then charging to upgrade to make it work?

Pages 5 requires Mavericks.
If you can't upgrade to Mavericks you will need to Export your Pages 5 file to Pages '09 or Word .doc/x format then open it with whatever Pages version you have (you didn't say).
You can open Pages 5 files inside Safari using iWork for iCloud beta and Send a Copy in Word format to yourself.

I had operation according to the following procedure
1. Configuration WDK on JDeveloper.
2. Compile WDK.
3. Deployed the DrmRequestProcessingTaskFlow of WDK on soa_server1
4. It was appeared HTTP 404 Error page when I accessed http://epm112001.jp.oracle.com:8001/workflow/DrmRequestProcessingTaskFlow.

Safari can't open the page https

Frustrating to say the least. About a week ago whilst in Google mail, Safari failed to open an email instead it opened a page displaying the message Safari can’t open the page “https"//mail.google.com" etc
A page refresh also failed to open the page as did a my attempt to "Sign out".
Later that day the same problem occurred when I was using my bank's website. Oddly, when I turned to Camino and it too failed to open Googlemail and the bank's site. On my MacBook both sites worked from both applications. Add if I use a different user account on my Mac Pro, I don't have the problem.
My account is a “Standard” user. A logout and back in and it works again, a reboot and it works again but after a couple of hours the problem returns:

Empty Safari cache
Reset Safari
Uninstall Safari 4.0 beta and re-install Safari 3
Re-install Safari 4.0 beta
Swaped ethernet connection on my Mac Pro

Google Mail has been problematic on Safari 4. There are a number of threads in the Safari 4 Beta forum addressing the issue.
Thanks for posting the steps you have taken so far.
In a broader sense, security certificates are at the root of secured sites functioning. Those certificates are part of the Keychain file in HD>System>Library>Keychains. Perhaps, the keychain file needs repair. Open Keychain Access in your Applications>Utilities folder. In the Keychains Menu, select "Keychain First Aid">repair. If any errors appear, rerun until you get a clean pass.
If no errors appear, you may have to reestablish the keychain entries in your Standard account. Do you have administrative privileges assigned to that account?
Also, I'm not familiar with Smoothwall's operation/setup, however, some tweaking of its settings may be necessary. Here's some dated technospeak about Smoothwall and Safari.

You are not connected to the internet - Safari can't open the page

After wake up Mac OS X 10.6.8 from sleep, Safari 5.1.7 on Ethernet does not connect to web servers:

I have Windows 7...I had XP...now when I am say working on a word document and have it on my desktop and lets say I want to go to a spanish language site...when I leave the doc and click on FF icon, I get a message that says FF is running but not responding or something like that...then I have to log off completly to bring up the new program, in this case the Sp language program
