Can't open iPhoto.. message says check that the volume has sufficient free disk space

message reads
Unable to write to write to libary "iphoto" check that the volume has sufficient free disk space is free ? help

How much free space do you have? You should always have a minimum of 10 GB or more - 10% of your hard drive is a good goal

  • Cannot launch vivado simulator 2015.1: behav/compile.bat' script "Please check that the file has the correct 'read/write/execute' permissions"

    Hi,
I'm trying to run a verilog simulation using the vivado simulator 2015.1 on Windows 7.
I get the following error when I attempt to launch simulation:
ERROR: [USF-XSim-62] 'compile' step failed with error(s) while executing 'D:/projects/axi/axi_test_system/axi_test_system.sim/sim_1/behav/compile.bat' script. Please check that the file has the correct 'read/write/execute' permissions and the Tcl console output for any other possible errors or warnings.
The tcl console repeats the same message, "Please check that the file has the correct 'read/write/execute' permissions"
I cannot find any problem with the permissions.  I believe that windows will always execute a .bat file.   Within the same project, I can run elaboration, synthesis and implementation without problems.
Any idea why the simulation compile script won't run?
    Thanks,
    Ed

    Hi,
Thanks very much for your detailed reply. These were the right questions based upon what I told you.
However, I took the code home last night and ran it on my webpack 2014.2 release.   It still failed, but I got completely different error messages.   These messages correctly pointed me to an undeclared signal in my testbench. Once fixed, the compile worked and the simulator launched.
This morning, I fixed the signal name in my 2015.1 setup, and it also compiled and launched correctly.
So, the problem wasn't actually related to file permissions.  It seems like the 2015.1 error message may be broken compared to 2014.2.
I was running the Vivado GUI, clicking on "Simulate > Run Behavioral Simulation"
    Thanks again for your help.
    Regards,
    Ed

If you are getting a message to contact iTunes Support then you can do so via this link and ask them why the message is appearing (we are fellow users here on these forums, we won't know why) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • At the opening aperture often tell me that the library has to be repaired

at the opening aperture often tell me that the library has to be repaired

my external hard drive which are directly connected to my imac 27 inches with 16 gig of ram dissapear. Which cause a problem if aperture was running.
O.k., if your external hard drive is suddenly offline, while Aperture is still using it, and could not complete all database transactions,  the Aperture will insist on repairing the library, just like after Force-quitting; this is necessary, for the Aperture library may be inconsistent, if Aperture could not finish writing its data.
This is not an Aperture problem, it is a problem of your external drive. It should not dismount while a program is using it. If it happens, while Aperture is running and the computer is going to sleep, change the energy saver settiings and don't let your mac go to sleep, while you need Aperture running.  Ask in one of the technology forums, why your disk continuously will dismount.
I have recuperate my library with a vault on a 6 tb brand new in september and i can't get access to this new library i am now recuperate all the images by making copies of the master files . What a mess

  • Im trying to burn an iDVD and its saying that there is not enough free disk space for encoding the remaining assets.

Im trying to burn an iDVD and its saying that there is not enough free disk space for encoding the remaining assets. My main hard drive only has a few hundred Mb left on it so i bought a 1 Tb external hard drive and want to know how to make iDVD use the space on the external hard drive instead trying to use the main hard drive. Any help would be awesome! thanks

    Hi
    Yes - This is important.
Free Space - Must be on the Start-Up (Mac OS) hard disk and can not be used on any other.
My safe level is a minimum of 25Gb free space - to let iDVD and Mac OS run OK.
This is due to that Mac OS X is in reality UNIX and there by needs lot's of temporary space for temp. files and so does the application iDVD. And this can not be addressed elsewhere.
So to free up space - one thing is to move iMovie Events to an external hard disk BUT THIS MUST BE DONE Right Else all can be lost ! !
    • Never move or adjust any folders Named - iMovie Events or iMovie Projects - on Desktop/Finder - links will breake and can be hard to impossibly to heal. ALL movings must be done within iMovie Application (it goes for iMovie'08 to 11)
    • External Hard Disk - MUST BE - Mac OS Extended (hfs) formatted - UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange will NOT WORK FOR VIDEO - nearly everything else BUT NOT VIDEO.

  • TS1292 How come it doesn't show the amount of money there is s gift card?  I tried putting in the code more than once, but all it says is that the card has already benn redeemed?

How come it doesn't show how much money there is left in my iTunes gift card?  I have tried putting in the code more than once, but all my tablet says is that the card has already been redeemed.

I haven't got access to the server right now (so I can't provide the complete details), but something like 6-700 GB (which is more than it shows in the client time machine windows, but less than what is true (which was around 1,5 TB))

  • I can not open iPhoto, it said it on the lock disc, when i update to mard

how can i open iphoto when it said on lock disc?

What version of iPhoto? of the OS? where is your iPhoto library located? Have you looked at the "more like this list" on the right? One of the posts there like this one might help - https://discussions.apple.com/message/23891920#23891920

  • Can't update iPhoto: message says it was "bought by a different user or refunded or cancelled." None of that is true. Can't buy it, either.

I've been trying to update my iPhoto because my old version (9.3.2) no longer works now that I've updated my OS to Mavericks (10.9.2). When I try to update, I get the message that I can't because iPhoto was purchase by some other user or was refunded or cancelled. I don't know how this could be--this was a new computer that I got through work that came loaded with iPhoto already. I figured that I would just buy iPhoto again and load it up, but the Apple Store will only show me the option to UPDATE and not BUY, so I am stuck in this loop.

You must log in using the Apple ID that was used to set up the compter (or purchase the application if it was purchased later)
If that is not working then you must contact App store suport - link is on the right of the App store window

  • I can not open iphoto window says it is incomplete or damaged

There is a "do not enter" (cirlce with a diagonal line) sign over my iphoto.  when i try to open it says iphoto can open, damaged or incomplete. Help!

Try this:  launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If it doesn't then the problem lies with your current library. In that case if you have the space available on your hard drive and don't aready have a backup copy of the library make a temporary, backup copy (select the library and type Command+D) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • I can't open itunes message says you dont have the appropiate permission to acces the item

i update itunes to the new update an appear a message saying  windows cannot acces the specified ,device, path or file you may not have the appropiate permission to acces the iten how can a fix it y desinstall itunes  and install it two times and still not working

Make sure that you have closed all programs that might be using the iTunes library.itl file. I would hit CTRL + ALT + DEL buttons and enter the Task Manager - from there end any unnecessary program running in the background.
Next try to start iTunes again. If it fails, restart PC, do the same with Task Manager and try to open iTunes again.

  • Can't open iPhoto. warning says can't open iPhoto because it may be damaged or incomplete

cant open iphoto. says it is damaged or incomplete

    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.
