Can't open iTunes, CoreGraphics.dll was not found, Error 7
For some reason, I suddenly could not open iTunes. I get the message " This application has failed to start because CoreGraphics.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".
I also get the message "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7".
iTunes worked fine until just one minute it didn't work any more. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it many times, and I get nothing. Can anybody help, please?
One of your Apple Application Support dlls has gotten damaged or gone walkabout, Martha. For some more information on the relationship between Apple Application Support and iTunes see the second part of this user tip:
[iTunes for Windows, QuickTime, and Apple Application Support|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2355263]
A couple of questions before proceeding.
Do you have a 32 bit or 64-bit version of Vista?
Do you currently have a Safari for Windows *version 4.0.5* installed? (That uses a higher version of AAS than the one in the current iTunes (9.0.3.15) installers, and I don't want to stuff up your Safari in the course of trying to get your iTunes fixed.)

ITunes wont open,as WebKit.dll was not found?
iTunes wont open as, error message says "The application has failed to start because WebKit.dll was not found". Does anyone have any suggestions? I've tried to remove iTunes but come up with another error "can't find iTunes.msi"
It looks like you might have two different problems going on at once. Trying the following one first:
"The application has failed to start because WebKit.dll was not found".
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Add or Remove programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".

This occurred immediately upon completion of install. I really don't understand since I once used itunes with this very same operating system and was able to make purchases and roam about in the store. I have purchases that I've not yet moved to my devices and now can't move about. Should it be this difficult to use itunes?
This procedure might work or might not work:
Download the free Ccleaner and repair your Registry (repeat until clear)
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard
Uninstall iTunes according to Apple's directions here
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
Use Ccleaner and repair your Registry again just in case.
Then download/install iTunes again from the Apple website
http://www.apple.com/itunes/
Your iTunes content will not be removed,
Please regularly backup your iTunes content to external medium (hard drive, cd/dvd's) using the File>Backup Library in iTunes. Apple will not reissue new copies of content.
(Notice: this post is a copy/paste in a hope that a uninstall/reinstall and repair of your Registry may solve your particular issue, Windows issues are particular difficult to resolve due to multiple factors, so my advice is to be taken into advisement with others recommendations which may be more specific or experienced in resolving your issue. If it or others recommendations solve your issue, please respond back with a "Correct" or "Helpful" or not resolved responses so we can further refine our efforts in trying to successfully assist others. Help?
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Dbghelp.dll was not found?
When I try to start up itunes the following measages come up
dbghelp.dll was not found
Error 7 (Windows Error 126)Hello bjcutmore
Start with the first article and start up in Safe Mode to see if it starts and if that does not work, try running the installer for the latest version of iTunes to see if it will fix the missing .dll file. If that does not work, then you will need to remove iTunes and related software and then install it again. Your music will be intact

CS5 from CS3 / CoreFoundation.dll was not found
New CS-5 seemed to open without a hitch for a few times, but now I get an Error Message: "This application has failed to open because CoreFoundation.dll was not found."
When I X-out of the Error window, CS-5 opens OK, but I don't know how to get rid of the error message.
LeighYou have likely installed then partially uninstalled a 3rd party plug-in, I'm guessing possibly from OnOne Software. Either that or you have partially installed one.
You didn't just point your Extra Plug-ins Folder at your old CS3 area did you?
Oops, didn't notice this was an ancient thread.

I was given notification to upload the latest version of itunes recently, so I clicked installed. However it has since corrupted my itunes and I get the error message:
"This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".
In poor timing, I have also accidently damaged my phone and have a new one to restore it to an old back up.
It is because of this I am reluctant to completely delete itunes off my computer and start again for fear of losing my back ups.
Is there another way to fix iTunes so I can open it again?
ThanksHey I finally got an older vesion of itunes to work!!! 10.7 x64 for windows 7
After uninstalling all apple products even quicktime
I had to delete everything from (program files, and program files x64, program data,)
And all downloads from apple, and I went in to search deleted other stuff from apple, and itunes
But definently not my itunes library and Playlist
Down loaded 10.7 x64 for windows 7, but checked (do not start when done)
Then I emptied my recycling bin and restarted my PC
I ran geek tech tool box same as reg cure pro, also PC Tools registry cleaner, and CC Cleaner
Then I emptied my recycling bin and restarted my PC
And wallah... It finally works, and I Love the older version anyways.

Can't open itunes because pthreadVC2.dll was not found?
I have enjoyed itunes for a long time on my Sony Vaio, but now everytime I try to open it I get this message:
"This application has failed to start because pthreadVC2.dll was not found".
I have followed the instructions of previous posts, repeatedly deletin itunes and reinstalling it again. I have the latest versions of everything. We have spent countless hours in frustration but nothing has worked. I can't even fine a number to call or a place to email to get an answer regarding itunes support. Any ideas?AFAICT, pthreadvc2.dll is part of Safari, not iTunes. Do you have Safari installed?
If so, I would try uninstalling it, then trying to run iTunes. If you need Safari for some reason, re-install it. -

Current iTunes update won't load. Tells me MSVCR80.dll was not found. Wants me to reboot. If I reboot, will I lose my music?
Hi DDay@55,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
To resolve this error, I recommend completely removing and reinstalling iTunes and all of its related components using these steps:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
You can find the article with these steps and more information here:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
This process should not affect any music or content on your computer, but you may want to
back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive.
Best,
