Can't open iWeb website

I have spent several days creating a website in iWeb.
Today when I opened iWeb I couldn't see my website.
the files are in a folder on the desktop, but can't work out how to access these again via iWeb.
every time I clicked 'save' on a finished page, I also clicked 'publish' and these HTML files open fine in Safari.
Feeling very frustrated to be stuck when the website is so nearly finished!

You need to find your domain.sites file to be able to work and update your site.
This can be found under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites. It is this domain file that you need. Just double click it and iWeb will open it. Be sure to look in your User Library though - the one with the House, as iWeb is not in your System Library.
Unfortunately, publishing your site is not saving it because iWeb can't open html pages because it has no import facility, so if I were you I would delete all your published site files until you are ready to finally publish your site.
Find the domain.sites file and you can complete your site.

Can not open vodafone website for bill pay

can not open vodafone website for bill pay. Gives Message as " Peer's Certificate has been revoked.

This is happening in all browsers, I tested it with IE8, IE6, IE7 and Chrome, this looks like an issue with the website and not with Firefox, please contact the helpdesk of the corresponding website and ask them to fix their security certificate. I am no expert in security certificate by the way, but this is required for HTTPS connections.

Can't open any website

I can't open any website using Firefox. I tried for 4 hours this morning, just blank, or "loading" (but nothing actually loaded). Finally got google partially open but not completely. Shut down my computer about 50 times, had my internet provider check my DSL connection (working "really fast" they said), 12 hours later, still can't open a damned thing. Upgraded to 3.6.13, still nothing. Finally got Safari open (which i've never used successfully on my emac), and it's super fast. I give up on Firefox.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Is there any message shown on the screen?
Power down the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait 10 minutes.
Plug it back in. Power it on. Wait until all the lights are lit up properly.
Restart the computer.

Safari can't open any website and it shows a message about not connecting to the server. What should i do to fix it?

I could - rarely - find where a 3rd party product update may have some adverse side effect, but rare.
Maybe Safari 5.1 for Windows added and closed security but wasn't tested enough to see what effects it would have.
Consider, seems every day the same question is posed and asked.
There is a command to flush Windows DNS I saw....
I just tried to go to one thread and it vanished "Looking for something" and blank page now.

Safari can't open Google website

For the last couple of days, my default search engine (www.google.com) was not searching, and giving me following error:
Safari can’t open the page “http://www.google.com/” because Safari can’t connect to the server “www.google.com”.
I went through pages in support about problems with third-party plugins. I've tried un-checking "Enable plug-ins"; Resetting Safari; Emptying Cache; Re-starting Safari and computer, nothing has worked. Other search engines are working e.g. bing, yahoo. I can't open any of google websites from .com or .co.uk or gmail. I've just tried using Firefox and it also can't open google websites.
I'm using Safari 5.0.3 (5533.19.4) on a Mac OS X 10.5.8.
I had Glims installed on my machine, which I just un-installed it; re-started; re-set safari, but still can't open google website.
As far other websites are concern, so far all the websites which are in frequent use can open. Is there problem with Google, Safari/Firefox (browser) or my mac (virus or something)?

I did what Carolyn said and I also checked the PeerGuardian app
but I don't think it's because of this app that my connection wasn't possible, because I rarely use it.
Et voilà, everything works now.
I'd like to thank Carolyn and Rave for allowing me to do not format my dear iBook G4 that I haven't formated for over 3 years!!! (I've done the whole backup of my iBook)

New computer - can't open my website in iweb

I just replaced my old computer and the new one that has iweb already installed. After logging into mobileme and opening iweb, the program doesn't show me my existing website. I checked under 'File' but 'visit published site' is not an option. What do I need to do to open and work on my existing website in iweb? Thanks.

Well, you actually need to be sure that you have backed up the correct file.
It is correct that if you have published pages from iWeb and they are html pages and files, then iWeb cannot import these - iWeb has no import facility and creates all the html code needed when you publish. If this is the case, then you will have to re-build your site from scratch.
The file where iWeb stores all data and this is the file that you need to be able to alter anything is your domain.sites2 file. It is located under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites. Note, it is your user library that you need to be looking in and not your system library.
Find your domain.sites file and you can make any alterations that you want and it is this file that you want to back up and nothing else - backing up a published site is no good, as you have already learned.

I can't open my website to edit it.

It is on a pen drive. When I open iweb it lists my site but only allows me to add new pages. I see a red square with a white cloud by my site's name. When I go to the menu to file or edit, it won't let me open the pen drive to access the pages of my site. This has never happened before. I would log into iweb and my site would come up and I could edit the pages. Has something changed? My site is online through an outside server 1 & 1. However, I should think I could open the pages from the pen drive in iweb, regardless of the server? Any ideas on how I can open the pen drive in iweb. As I said, this is the first time I have had problems. Do you think the pen drive could be damaged?

On my computer, I have another website with another user name. When I logged into that, the website, which was published came up just fine. I went back to iweb with my user name and I cannot do anything. It showed my published site as being "unpublished" I cannot do anything. When iweb opens it immediately goes to a page saying "site publishing settings". I can only navigate away if I want to start a new site. The one difference I did note was that on the other site, (other user name) which I could access, the site came up with www.sitename.com. When iweb opens my site it lists the name as "sitename" with no www or com before or after. When I click on visit published site it shows a problem and can't access it. (It comes up just fine on the internet thru google, et al).
I also went to home folder/library/application support/iweb. I also tried to open the file with my pen drive again. It said open file, but then when I looked at it in the pen drive directory, it was grey and I could not open it.
The file is listed as domains.sites2
I can see the first page of the site just fineon the preview but cannot open it in iweb.
(As for the share/iweb/photo page, that worked just fine. However I was able to put the photo on a new web page. I can now do certain things, but not open my published website

I created my website using iWeb, and use iWeb SEO Tool (3rd party software) to upload onto the internet so that my website can be found on the net.
But since upgrading to Lion OSX I can't open my iWeb file in iWeb SEO - my Library file has been moved and my iWeb file has disappeared!! I have since found the iWeb file through Finder (by using Go to ~/Library/) but still cannot find it using iWeb SEO so can't upload changes to my website.
Can someone help please? It is very frustrating!

Have you checked to see if iWeb SEO is compatable with Lion or if there is an update for it? Apple have dropped iWeb from their iLife suite in Lion. It will continue to work, but uploading to MobileMe will cease very shortly.
