Can't Open Multiple Apps (or app store)
Hi,
I am having issue with my MacBook Pro. It's running Yosemite 10.10.3.
Lately I am unable to open multiple programs including pages, calculator, app store and a few others. I just tried reinstalling the operating system last night and I'm still having issues.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advanceI have this same problem on my iMac since installing Mavericks. The emails download, I can see who they are from and when they came, but nothing shows up in the message pane. I can see emails I got before I installed Mavericks, although about half of them did disappear. Sure would like to find a fix--perhaps the 10.9.1 update will do it?

TextEdit is not working. I have tried repairing and I have tried reinstalling but it still says "You can't open the application TextEdit.app because it may be damaged or incomplete."

Try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.

Hi there, after I installed the OSX 10.8.3 update I can't open my Email and App Store apps. This is the popup message that appears when i try to open those apps. I tried to reinstall the app but I can't open my App Store. I also downloaded and installed the OSX Update 10.8.3 and the 10.8.2 again from the download support page, but I couldn't solve my problem. Does anyone knows how can i fix it?

Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.

If it's the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store that aren't working, whilst the built-in apps are ok, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.

Been using Firefox (many years) version 3.16.. Received invitation to download Firefox version 4 for Mac this morning and did so (regretably losing 3.16 version) because now the new version 4 won't open. I just keep getting the error message "You can't open the application "Firefox.app" because it is not supported by this architecture." I'm using the latest Mac OS 10.5.8. The processor is 1.8 GHz Power PC G5.
I trashed the first download and downloaded a 2nd Firefox version 4 and had the same results.Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox

If it was a purchased App, you'll probably have been charged for it, so it'll be worth trying to re-download.

You cannot retrieve the already published site as iWeb CANNOT open it - it has no import facility.
You need your domain.sites file, which you can find under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites. You do not need any kind of account for this because it is your domain.sites file that resides on the hard drive of your Mac anyway. Find this file and you can alter your website.
Use a spotlight search to try and find it and if this does not work you can download something called Find Any File. If you really can't find it, then you'll have to start from scratch because iWeb cannot open a site that is already published. -

Safe mode is much slower to boot than normal.

Lion and later cannot run old PPC applications. Upgrade ImageBrowser or find a replacement for it.

I'm getting this error message every time I try to open a PDF from Finder:
You can’t open the application “AcroExt.app” because it is not responding.
I'm running Yosemite 10.10.2 and Acrobat Pro 11.0.10. In fact, it seems like it started right after I installed the 10.10.2 update.
If I open Acrobat and then open the PDF file from the File > Open menu within Acrobat the PDF will open, but if I try opening it from Finder I get the above error.
Any ideas how I can fix this?

I have been experiencing the same issur.
This is not a fix, but rather a workaround. Keep the Adobe Acrobat application open all the time. You should be able to double-click the pdf document from the finder and open it. -
