Open up Java preferences located in your Application>Utilities folder. Make sure it's enabled. Mac automatically disables it if not used within a certain amount of time.

Windows 7 clients need to update printer driver for no reason
I have a problem with my Windows 7 clients in domain. We have 2012 print server and multiple printers installed on it. I installed a brand new Canon IR printer with a new driver from Canon webpage. After I did that, almost all Windows 7 clients got a warning
that they need to update driver for printing. Those clients are NOT using the printer I installed, but the other ones (who worked fine until my installation). Is it possible that installing new printer cause other compatible printers to update themselfs???

I need java download jre-7u6-macosx-x64.dmg file.
I am trying to download a PrintMaster Platinum software onto my macbook pro. I have OS X 10.9.4. IWhen trying to download it says I need java update and when I try to download jre-7u6-macosx-x64.dmg file. it won't let me. Not sure what to do. Wondering if the software that I bought at a store is too old for the computer, which I was told would download in the store.
the box says ; Macintosh OS S 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 with latest Java update.
Not sure what is wrong.

new macbook pro loaded with mavericks. installed CS3 including prompted Java update. try to open photoshop & empty splash screen pops up-can't go further. tried newer java update-same result. shut down 4 times-same. any suggestions?

Resolution
Move the mouse or trackpad cursor over the center area of the login window so you can see the user icons. Click on the icon of the user that you would like to login as, type in the user's password, and press Return.
If the login window is configured to show only the name and password fields, type in the user's name and password into the fields, and press Return (even if you cannot see the rest of the login window).
Additional Information
This issue will not occur if the display is not sleeping when the account is logged out. Use the steps below to confirm that the account is not configured to log out automatically while the display is sleeping:
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General. Click the padlock to unlock the preference pane and enter your admin password. Click the Advanced button at the bottom, then see if the option "Log out after N minutes of inactivity" (where N is the number of minutes) is enabled.
Open System Preferences > Energy Saver and configure Display Sleep to occur after the account is logged out, by dragging the slider to a number of minutes that is greater than N was set to in the previous step.
Important: If automatic log out is not needed, disable "Log out after Nminutes of inactivity" in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General. This will also prevent the issue.

Hello Firefox,
I am having problems with my Firefox's image processor I believe. My web browser is fine but then a few minutes later I get some weird look on my page. It then just stays here and I can't fix it. When I go to Yahoo all the links and images do not look normal. I really cannot explain this and wish I could send a picture instead. When I go to the Log in page for Facebook I do not see the image of the small faces networking around the world. It's blank and the links are widely spread apart. With YouTube the page is also distorted. Nothing is arranged properly. I can watch videos. However when I go to someone's profile or a playlist videos cannot play or show up. It says I need to update my Java player and it is already updated. It still happens when I uninstall and re install back. I was only able to fix this problem by uninstalling everything related to Firefox. I do not know how to solve this any other way. I don't like it when all my information is lost such as saved passwords and bookmarks. If there is any way to solve this thanks. I keep my Firefox up-to-date at all times but the last few weeks Gmail has been telling me that I am using an older version which it no longer supports even though I have the updated version. I was notified that Firefox could be updated to the newest version, which I did. After the update when I opened Firefox it told me that I needed to update to the newest version which I had already done. How can I fix this?

I downloaded Yosemite and now my iPhoto has a bar across it and will not open. I need to update to the latest version. The app store says the latest version is not available in the Canadian Store. What can I do.
Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
