There is a chance the spreadsheets were made with a Numbers or AppleWorks version so old that it's not compatible anymore with the latest Numbers version (yes this can happen)

A few general trouble shooting tips that may apply here:
1. If you used Software Update to do the OS update(s) to reach 10.6.7, go to http://support.apple.com/downloads/ and download and apply the Mac OS v10.6.7 Combo Updater. The Combo Updater contains some fixes that were not included in the incremental updaters used by Software Update.
1a. Check that you have the current version of Pages (and of the other iWork applications) installed. All three applications' current version numbers end in .0.5
2. A common cause of malfunctioning applications is a corrupted preferences file (.plist file). Your Pages '09's plist is at yourname > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iWork.pages.plist
Quit Pages, locate the file and Drag it to the Desktop (or to the Trash).
Restart Pages and attempt to open one of the files.
If all is well, Trash the plist file and empty the Trash.
If there's no change, AND you've made changes to the Preferences that you wish to keep, drag the file back to its previous location, replacing any new one that has been created.

First be sure login and password are OK. Sometimes the address starts wit "http://..." and sometime starts with "ftp://...". Try both normal FTP access and Scure FTP access (SFTP). At the end, contact the site's provider.

Hi Allan, thanks for that. I've already set up a log in for my wife and that is all working fine. The problem is that when she logs in and opens iTunes and trys to associate her library with her iTunes account she gets the error message "This computer is already associated with another iTunes account". Whilst this is true, the computer is associated with my iTunes account under my separate log in, which should have nothing to do with hers. If she transfers the association to her account it will lock me out of my content on my log in for 90 days - I'm trying to work out how to associate each of the log in accounts with a separate iTunes account so we can access our music independently of one another without locking each other out. Hope that makes sense!

I have photoshop 7.0 which has stopped working on my computer. When I try to open an image in Photoshop it gives me an error message saying the image is damaged or corrupted. I can open the same image in other image programs.

That answer seems to work in purchased books but in my case I dont know who is the ebook provider in lebrary. I asked library people and they did not give me any contact to reset the activation. I will try again to find out that contact. I was wondering if there is any way at our side so we can fix this. Probably there is nothing. Thanks anyway.

After downloading itunes get an error message saying itunes was not installed

I am so frustrated because I had itunes on my laptop and after an update it wouldnt work. I have uninstalled itunes and downloaded the newest version but keep getting this message on screen 'Itunes was not installed correctly. Please re-install itunes. Can you browse the Time Machine drive from Finder?
If you can and you know where the picture was stored ie on your desktop you can browse through the folder structure to the picture copy it and paste it somewhere on your new install before right clicking it and 'set as desktop background'

I got an iPhone 4 for my birthday yesterday and when we went to activate it, we turned it off after like it said to, and I turned it on about two hours later and it keeps saying 'No Service'. It connects to wifi but doesn't pick up any service. Help!?

it seems like it hasn't registered with your carrier yet? try a hard reset, LOCK+home button until it shuts down and restarts, see if that helps any, please post back

Can't e-mail photos using iPhoto. I get an error message saying...

I already receive mail via the iMail client for my iCloud (@me.com) account. When I tried to set up an e-mail account withing iPhoto, it prompted me for that same information. I used my @me.com e-mail address and password correctly (I think), but then it says, "the server didn't recognize the username/password." HELP!!

This solution is for those of you using 2-step verification for your Apple ID and are using iCloud as the mail server that you are trying to mail photos with.
I too had this issue. The problem in my case occurred because I had setup 2-step authentication for my Apple ID. If you have done this then you will get the error message "the mail server did not recognize your email/password...". To solve the problem go to:

Click "Manage Your Apple ID"
Verify your identity with the device you selected (if this step does not show up then you have not likely set up 2-step authentication and this is not your solution)
Click Password and Security in the left column
Click Generate an app-specific password
Enter iPhoto as the name of the app
Copy the password and paste this into the password box in iPhoto where you would normally enter your apple ID (in the mail account section in iPhoto preferences).
And...voila' (I hope)

New itunes version no help. It appears perhaps that a hardware conflict is in place with AnyDVD. Anyway around this without removing AnyDVD?

Version 3.2.2 does not work with Yosemite you'll need to upgrade to version 4.0 to get Server functionality.
