Can't open OS9 Quicken 2002 files in Classic mode on iBook G4

I have an iMac that I use to run OS9 and applications, and it has Quicken 2002 installed, but I'd like to use Quicken 5 which is installed on my iBook G4. I have OS 9.2 installed on the iBook G4, and I installed Quicken 2002 on the iBook G4. I used a flash drive to move a Quicken Data file from my iMac running OS9 to the iBook G4, but the Quicken 2002 running in Classic on the iBook G4 does not recognize the old Quicken file. Is there any way I can convert the old Quicken file? This is the only software that I really would like to run on my iBook G4, and I have a ton of old Quicken 2002 data that I don't want to lose. I did find my answer at the Quicken Community website and it worked like magic. Now I can run my old data files in the new version of Quicken on my iBook. In case anyone else needs the info, this is how to do it:
Exporting your data to a QIF file:
Open the data file from which you want to export the data.
Choose Export from the Quicken File menu.
Select the Full Export option.
Click Export to create the QIF file.
Name the file export.qif.
Importing the QIF file into a new data file:
From the Quicken File menu, choose New file.
Enter a name for the new file, and then click Save.
When prompted to create a new account, click Cancel.
From the File menu, select Import QIF.
In the Open File window, choose the export.qif file.
