Can't open PDFs in Internet Explorer 9

Hi there,
I've been having this problem for a while now, where I'm unable to open/preview PDFs in Internet Explorer 9.
Like, if I go to this page http://www.together-uk.org/work-for-us/current-jobs/ and click 'Benefits of working for Together' on the right NOTHING happends lol.
I have checked for updates on Adobe Reader X, I'm up to date. Everything is ticked off in the Internet tab of Adobe Reader X. I've tried everything I think?

Works fine for me on IE10 and Firefox.
Try downloading the PDF to your local disk (right-click on this link http://www.together-uk.org/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2011/11/benefofworkingfortogether. pdf and select Save Target as...).
The problem is that the link on that website is a PHP, not a direct link to the PDF, so it may or may not work, depending on your browser settings.

If some site is requiring IE, set your user agent string to claim your using IE.

Adobe Acrobat Standard and Pro - dialog prompt when opening PDF from Internet Explorer 9

Good morning.
I am having an issue where our ends users that have either Adobe Acrobat X Standard (AAXS) or Adobe Acrobat X Pro (AAXP) cannot open a PDF within Internet Explorer 9 without being prompted by a dialog box to OPEN, SAVE or SAVE AS. Our user that have Adobe Reader X (ARX) only are ok. The ARX users can click on a PDF link within the browser and it will automatically open in a new tab. However, the AAXS and AAXP users will click on that same link, but are then prompted with a dialog box to either OPEN, SAVE or SAVE AS. Has any one else seen this before? We would like it to be so that all users - no matter what Adobe PDF program they are using of the 3 mentioned - can open a PDF link by just clicking on the link and no additional dialog options appear.
The ARX users have the same Internet settings within the Adobe preferences as the AAXS and AAXP users. The check box is checked to have PDFs open within the browser, which they do, but that dialog box always appears for AAXS and AAXP users. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the reply. I stumbled across something today after posting. I had already known that If the ARX user also had one of the other products (AAXS or AAXP), then they would get the dialog box. Here is what I just figured out: if the user uninstalled ARX and re-installed (still having both ARX and AAXS or AAXP in the end) then they no longer get the dialog box. It seems like perhaps its an issue the AAXP and AAXS are overwriting something in the registry.

Opening pdf in Internet Explorer on Windows

I attempt to open a pdf file in Internet Explorer and get the following message:
"The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a web browser. Plesx exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and try again".
Acrobat Reader is then launched and the pdf opens.
Is there any way I can view directly in the web browser? I can do this in Firefox on both Windows and Linux.
(Also I've had to create a new screen Ziggy Short as Ben Short has been disabled on forums for some reason, but Ben Short and Ziggy Short are one and the same).

If you have a tablet that runs full Windows 8 - not Windows 8 RT, which is limited.
And if you install the full Adobe Reader for Windows, not the special Adobe Reader Touch for Windows 8.
Then you will have the same features as a desktop.
Unless they can't be accessed in touch mode, since it isn't a touch app.

Can't save PDF from Internet Explorer embedded Adobe Reader

One of our clients use an application to digitally distribute and
approve incoming invoices. The scanned invoices (PDF's) are
visualised in the webbased application by using the embedded Adober Reader 9.0 in Internet Explorer 8.0.
While there is no problem printing PDF's, on some pc's it is impossible to save a PDF. When you click on the save icon, nothing happens.
This issue has been resolved on some pc's by reinstalling Adobe Reader, but not on others.
Does anyone know what causes this problem and how it can be resolved?

Hi Guys,
I have Win 7 64bit as well, and I have the same problem.
A pain when you're doing research and opening lots of browser windows
with PDFs in em.
What I've found is that this is an Internet explorer issue.
Everything works perfectly fine in Firefox.
You can save, print, the works, with no problems.
Looks like Microsoft have to do something with IE.

Can't open website in Internet Explorer

So I have this website I created in Dreamweaver and Flash. I uploaded it using FileZilla, everything's perfect I just can't seem to open it in PC's. When I try it in my Mac it works perfectly on Firefox or Safari, but on PC's Internet Explorer simply won't operate the flash buttons. I mean, one can see the page but you can't navigate through it like in a Safari or Firefox browser. This is the website, it's a medical center. Hope you guys can help me out. No real reason for using Flash buttons, just simple aesthetics. Want it to look nice, and I think Flash buttons add a good touch for doing so. Basically I just want to do cool buttons, that's why I do them in Flash. I've tried in Dreamweaver but I just can't seem to manage to do them the way I like them... any suggestions? Thanks again.

Using Windows 7, 64-bit, Google Chrome, IE 11, Adobe Reader 11.
When attempting to open broker pdf's I get the following error messages, written exactly as below:

I have a problem on one of our customers pc's. it can't open pdf files on explorer browser.

Can't open PDF files in Exporer

I can't open PDF files in Explorer. When I try I get an error box that says
Internet Explorer has quit working
     Windows can check for a solution
     Check Online
     Close program
I have reinstalled Adobe and the problem is still there
I can open PDF files without going to Explorer

adobe reader plugin crashes when trying open pdfs through internet explorer 8 or 9 i have windows vista 32 bit home premium i need to get assignments for class but can't with the plugin crashing all the time when opening the file to view it adobe plugin works fine on my laptop but not on my desktop can anyone help me fix this

When opening pdfs with windows explorer I get "fatal error unable to connect to dde server"

I can't open pdfs using windows explorer. I double click, nothing happens, and after ten minutes I get the error message "fatal error Acrobat failed to connect to DDE server."
I can however open the file if I open it in acrobat, although it is very slow.
I always download the latest version of acrobat indeed did so last week. I'm on windows 7. I've had acrobat for many years on this machine and OS and never had this problem.

I’d suggest you to uninstall Adobe Reader XI using this cleaning tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs and re-install Adobe Reader using this link Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions to fix the issue.
Re-install the program in administrator mode. Locate the program icon, right-click and select as “Run as administrator”.
Let me know if the issue persist.
