Can't Open Reports after upgrading to Windows Server 2008R2

Since upgrading to Windows Server 2008R2, I am unable to use File > Open to browse my network for existing Crystal Reports.  I am able to access reports from my recent reports list.  If I use Windows Explorer to try to find/open an existing report file, I'm prompted for the installation disk.  Is this a known issue?  Thanks for your help.

SP2 fully supports Windows 2008 Server, here's a link to the [platforms PDF|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/index?rid=/library/uuid/00225757-ab5c-2c10-c1a8-fb9f9f0f4ac2&overridelayout=true] file:
As for permissions this is something you need to setup with Windows and file sharing.
Thank you

I have seen comments from someone who indicated that every time they started Lightroom they were prompted for the serial number, even though they had already entered it. Is this your situation? I can't remember what the solution is, but I have seen that problem mentioned in the past.

  • How Can I open Report within the same window instead of separate Window

    Hi All,
I want to open report in my MDI form instead of opening it into a separate Oracle Report Navigator(i.e. Window which shows the report). How to do that? When I click the Report from Menu it should open it within the MDI Form. Any suggestion or reply would be greatly appreciated.
One more question is how can i open report with in a maximized state. Actaully, the report will be opened in the normal state. How to open in maximized state instead of normal state. Is there any property in reports to acheive this?
    Thanks in Advance.

    Gopinath Kona

    hello,
reports is a separate application that is called from forms and therefore is running outside the context of the forms MDI window.
you can use the commandline parameter MAXIMIZE=YES to start the runtime in full-screen-mode.

  • Can't find photos after upgrading to Windows 7

Bridge was working fine in Vista but after upgrading to Windows 7, I cannot find any of my photo files with bridge.  Photoshop CS4 find them OK and so does Lightroom but for some reason Bridge does not list them under Folders.  If I click on Libraries it says "no files".  It does not list Pictures or My Pictures.  I am totally stumped.

    If I am in Photoshop
    and go File>Open I get a list:
    Recent Places
    Desktop
    Libraries
    Computer
    Network
I click on Libraries and get a list:
    Documents
    Pictures
    Music
    Videos
I click on Pictures and that is where all my picture files are stored  (Used to be My Pictures in XP)
This also works in Lightroom if I Click on Import/Choose Files
Howeve,r from within Bridge, if I click on Libraries it says "No items to Display"
Also, within Bridge, If I click on the Files menu, the work Open is grayed out.

What do I need to install and what changes to the web.config do I need to make to have my reports continue to display via my website?

First, you need to download the new SDK - it's no longer available as part of the Crystal Reports install.
To do this go here:  http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-7824.  Download and install the latest version of the "Install Executable" to get integration into Visual Studio.  The other installs are the runtime installs - select the appropriate runtime install for your environment.
Now you have to upgrade your application to VS 2010 or newer.  There are some changes to the SDK, so you can't just replace the assemblies in your existing application's configuration.  DO NOT compile as "any CPU", you need to specifically target either x86 (32-bit runtime) or x64 (64-bit runtime).  If you target the 32-bit runtime (which will run on a 64-bit server!) and you're using ODBC, you'll need to create 32-bit ODBC connections on the server.  In any case, when working in VS, you'll need 32-bit ODBC connections for testing.

  • Can't open project after upgrade

    Hi
After upgrading from iMovie 9 to iMovie 11, i have a project that i can't open any more. When i choose it in the project library the preview window freezes and the "edit project" button fades out so that I can't open it.
Any one else got the same problem or know how to fix it.

Hi I have the same problem. Did you manage to find a solution?
    Thanks

  • Can't open Finder after Upgrade to Yosemite 10.10

After the Upgrade to Yosemite 10.10 on my MacBook Pro with Retina Display i can't open the Finder and it says it's not reacting. The bar on top when i'm at the Desktop is also gone.
    Can somebody help me ?

I had this exact same issue, and I was just able to fix it (at least for now).  I'm not an expert by any means, so I can't tell you why my solution worked, but if you follow it and it helps, then great.
First, you'll have to restart your computer and open in Safe Mode.  Restart the computer and as soon as you hear the startup noise, press and hold the Shift key.  Release it when you see the Apple icon.  It will take a little longer to start up.
Then download and install the free software called OnyX.
Once installed, open OnyX and click on the Verifying tab, then click on the Preferences tab. Run the Check button at the bottom.  If it tells you that you have any damaged files, double click them on the list, one at a time, and then delete those files.
Then I clicked the Scripts tab, and Executed all three scripts.
Finally, under the Cleaning tab, I clicked on System and executed everything except "CUPS jobs".
I then restarted my computer like it suggested (without opening Safe Mode) and everything was back to normal!
    Hope this helps.

  • Can't open iWeb after upgrading to iLife 11 (Domain.sites2.)

I just upgraded my iLife package from 09' to 11' just a few days ago. Since then I haven't been able to open up iWeb (09'). I realize that the iLife 11 upgrade shouldn't have harmed iWeb 09', but it's the only change/add that I have done to my machine in the past week. Every time I try to launch iWeb either from the dock or from the domain file itself, I receive the following iWeb error:
    Can't open file "/Volumes/Macintosh HD/iWeb/Domain.sites2."
    Has anyone seen this problem?

Did you move the Domain.sites2 file to that location? ...It can be moved, but most peopIe leave it where it usually resides and would see an error msg saying:
    "Can’t open file “~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites2.”
You could try moving your Domain file to the above location and double-click it there. And remember to always backup all your Domain files before messing with them.
By the way, rather than posting a P.S. in your Public Profile:
"i've tried repairing permissions on the domain file with Batchmod as well."

  • Can't run database after upgrading to windows 7

    Hello,
Last week I had a perfectly running 11g database on my personal computer, but then I upgraded my OS from Vista to 7 (which is the final version, legal). After the upgrade, my database which was installed on an external HD can't seem to be started.
I tried running it with the administration tools, but it's not in the database section anymore. I also tried running it with SQL*PLUS, but when I try the startup command or just to connect I get ORA-12560 TNS: protocol adapter error.
I know it's hard to come up with a solution since Windows 7 is new, but I'd like to know where to look and what could cause this problem.
    Thanks

Oracle made the database software work with Vista. It calls intgernal stuff provided by Microsoft.
One of the big things about the upgrade to Windows 7 is that Microsoft changed how some internal stuff works. For some reason calling stuff differently doesn't always work - or worse, works in deviously dangerous ways.
If you build a motor to hook into the car with #12 bolts and the car manufacturer changes to #14 bolts, would you still expect it to fit properly?
You MAY be able to get it to work with the Windows 2008 version, but I weould not hold my breath.

  • Xclock Error: Can't open display: - after upgrading to openSSH 5.2p1

I have got two servers apssvrX and apssvrZ on OEL. Both were built by the same team using their standard build scripts.
Having received the servers I had installed Oracle (ODI) product on it successfully.
Then as a part of requirement and as per Oracle support's advise, I had upgraded the ssh version on apssvrX server from OpenSSH_4.3p2 To OpenSSH_5.2p1, so that, I can implement the chroot jailing.
As per Oracle advise, I had downloaded the 3 RPMs from "_http://layer1.rack911.com/openssh/rhel5/x86_64/" to run them on my first server i.e., apssvrX and then configured the sshd services following the below steps:
    a) Modify /etc/ssh/sshd_config to comment the below line:
    #Subsystem sftp /usr/libexec/openssh/sftp-server
    b) Add below lines:
    Subsystem sftp internal-sftp
    Match Group sftponly
    ChrootDirectory %h
    X11Forwarding no
    AllowTcpForwarding no
    ForceCommand internal-sftp
Then lastly, Restart sshd services complete the configuration
    # /etc/init.d/sshd restart
apssvrX server current details are as below:
    apssvrX$ uname -a
    Linux apssvrX 2.6.18-128.el5 #1 SMP Wed Jan 21 08:45:05 EST 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
    apssvrX$ ssh -V
    OpenSSH_5.2p1, OpenSSL 0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 01 Jul 2008
My problems started from this point onwards. I want to install another Oracle product using OUI, but when I try to execute xclock using the Exceed HummingBird tool on apssvrX server then it fails with the error - (xclock) Error: Can't open display:
I tried the DISPLAY variable setup as well but to no use.
Whereas I can successfully execute the xclock on apssvrZ and OUI as well. Its config details are as below:

    apssvrZ$ ssh -V
    OpenSSH_4.3p2, OpenSSL 0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 01 Jul 2008
    Please advise the way forward.

    Tried but still same error.

  • Can't open iPhoto after upgrading computer

    Hello!
I have an old iBook G4 that crashed a few weeks ago. I couldn't rebuild it so and got Mac OS X Leopard Version 10.5 and installed it. I transferred everything from my iMac (latest model) including photos. Then I got my old iLife '06 and installed iPhoto to the iBook (which was on there before it crashed). I did all the software updates and now have iPhoto 6.0.6 installed.
However, when I try to open iPhoto I get the following message:
"You can't open your current photo library using this version of iPhoto.
You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iPhoto."
I can see all my photos in finder under 'All Images'. When I click on a photo the path is
username - pictures - iPhoto Library - Originals - Year - Date - photo file name
However, when I go to finder and click username - Pictures and then iPhoto Library there is nothing there.
How do I get to open and import my photo library?
    Thanks,
    Julia

    Julia
As the new iMac has a later version of iPhoto it sounds like the Library has been updated, and the old iPhoto 6 cannot open it.
    Your choices are
    1. Update iPhoto on the older machine
    2. Rebuild the library for iPhoto 6. To do this try use iPhoto Library Manager.

These two VMs are connected to an external Virtual Switch, which allows physical machines to PXE boot to the Clonezilla server.
For the past few months I have been using this setup for two purposes:
    1. To clone physical machines to the Clonezilla virtual server (as a backup).
    2. To restore those image to the second VM if I find that need to get access to the files on the original image..
This has worked perfectly, except for the fact that the speed of the legacy network adapter on the second VM (which is required to PXE boot) is very slow. But I know this is because of the limitations in how the legacy adapter works...
    Now my problem:
I found out that Gen 2 VMs allow you to PXE boot without having use a legacy network adapter, allowing me to image back to the VM faster. So I upgraded the Server to Server 2012 R2 . I then created the same two virtual machines on the R2 server. I can still
PXE boot the Gen 1 VM to the Clonezilla Server but I cannot get the Gen 2 VMs to PXE boot properly. They get an IP address from the Clonezilla Server but then just stop with the following screen. (note: I have disabled the Secure Boot).
Are Gen 2 VMs unable to pull down images from anything other than a WDS Server?

    Hi J,
    >>Unfortunately WDS is not a solution for us as it is dependent on the PC being part of a domain
If you would like to make the client not join to the domain, please check the box before “Do not join the client to a domain after an installation.”  In addition, make sure not to set the client to the domain in the unattend file and do not prestage
    the computer in AD. "
It is quoted from following thread :

  • Can't open library after upgrade to iPhoto '11

I have seen a few people have the same/similar problem but their solutions haven't helped me.
Bought new macbook pro two weeks ago. iPhoto didn't work when I had imported my old info onto my computer, but then after three wipes of the computer and a reinstall as the primary user I got it working. I downloaded aperture last night which meant I had to upgrade to iPhoto 11 (which may have been the problem in the first place- I don't know if I downlaoded it the first few times). This has again meant I cannot open iPhoto at all and it crashes before the window even comes up.

I've tried reinstalling it a couple of times, as well as downloading 9.1 etc. etc. but nothing so far has worked. Any solutions?

    Hi Terence,
followed some of theat iphone threads since I got the same problem. I tried everything you explained. Tried it under a different user (worked), deinstalled and reinstalled the application (didn´t work). I cleaned any related iphone file before I reinstalled ... nada! I also repaired the users rights on the application disk ... nothing helped.
So one final attempt to get help. Not even Apple Support could tell me what is wrong. Here is the last crash report:

  • Can't open firefox after upgrading to the latest version. All programmes affected, basically nothing works and it's driving me mad!

Having updated firefox, it does not work. After an hour or so to try and open firefox, it says firefox has crashed and gives option to restart or quit.
Same with internet explorer and chrome - no response. After about an hour, excel finally opened but so slow to be able to do anything.
Also noticed a message bottom right corner of screen saying this version of windows is not authentic. I have windows 7 and it is legitimate and have not seen this message before.
I have read lots on the internet but nothing seems to match my problem if nothing working. I am unable to change settings or look at set up of any programmes because I cannot get in to them.....
Any ideas would be so gratefully relieved please!!
    Thank you in advance,

Start your '''Computer''' in safe mode. Then start Firefox. Try '''Safe''' web sites.
    Starting The Computer In Safe Mode;
If running, turn your computer off.
Remove any disks and thumb drives that are in your hard drives or ports.
    Now start your computer but also;
'''Windows; '''Press the <F8> key repeatedly.
'''Mac: '''Hold down the Shift key.
'''Linux; '''Using the command line, Linux/Unix computers can be booted
into various run levels that determine which resources are loaded.
For example, "runlevel 1" is typically the equivalent to Windows and
    Mac safe modes.
    * Source; '''[http://encyclopedia2.thefreedictionary.com/Linux+Safe+Mode Safe Mode; Free Online Encyclopedia]'''
When the '''Boot''' menu is displayed, release the key you were pressing.
    You must now choose what mode to use. The most used are;
    * Safe Mode; The computer runs with only a minimum set of programs.
    * Safe Mode '''With '''Networking; Same as above, but with internet access.
