Can't open Sharing pref pane. Gives weird error.

Suddenly I can't open my Sharing preference pane. It gives the following error:
"You cannot open Sharing preferences because it doesn't work on an Intel-based Mac."
I haven't run any utilities that remove language packs or architectures. I tried to re-install the 10.5.6 combo update but it says that the updater can't be applied.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Okay, I managed to get the combo updater to install. Don't know why it didn't work before. Then I repaired my permissions.
The Sharing pref pane now opens but it's non-functional (buttons don't respond to mouse clicks) and there are display errors like incorrect or missing text.
I also tried restoring the Sharing pref pane from my Time Machine backup but that didn't make a difference.
So, I think you're right. I need to do a archive and install. What a pain in the *ss that is going to be.

Sharing pref pane stopped working

When I first got my computer, it wasn't even in the system preferences, but I found it in Library>PrefPanes and installed it. I use this to use my wireless to connect my my xbox 360. I haven't had one for about a year now and just got a new one. I went to try to connect it and it didn't work. Then I went to my sys prefs and noticed that the sharing pref pane looked like this:
If there is a fix for this to where I won't have to reinstall osx, it would be awesome to know. Any help is much appreciated!

I have RAC with 2 nodes of 10.2.0.3 on ASM, platform is HP-UX 11.11.
On both nodes I've installed EM agent (version 10.2.0.3) by entering command
./agentDownload.hpunix -b /opt/oracle -c "node1,node2" -n CLUSTER_NAME -l
EM shows only some part of information about both instances and no information about OS and platform. Also I see message "java.lang.Exception: No such metric" on page of this cluster.
Also there are errors in emagent.trc of agents on both nodes:
fetchlets: Could not load library '/opt/oracle/agent10g/lib32/libnmefos.sl' for reason 'Can't open shared library: /opt/oracle/agent10g/lib32//libnmemso.sl'
Both libraries are exist and available for reading.
Is there any workaround or fix about this?

Yesterday, I could not open my system prefs. I did every thing possible within my actual system, trashed all that could be the problem, did a archived reinstalled, ran Tech Tool, Disk Warrior. Eventually had to do a clean install.
The new prefs opened once for me to change international prefs and then IT'S GONE AGAIN!!!
CAN'T OPEN SYSTEM PREFS AGAIN!!!!
THIS IS KILLING ME ! DOCK BOUNCES BUT NOTHING HAPPENS

Sys prefs is an app and it's icon can be dragged into the dock. Laurent will have done that. I would suggest to him he, 1) dump the dock icon, drag it from dock and have it go 'poof', 2) Try to launch it and use it from the Apple menu, 3) Try to launch it and use it from the icon in 'Applications', 4) Knowing then you can get it to run drag the 'Applications' icon afresh into the dock.
Could try repairing permissions for the Sys Pref app.

I try to execute the following command to purge cache on BI server

clear_cache.txt contains {call SAPurgeAllCache()};
I receive the following error:
$ nqcmd -d AnalyticsWeb -u Administrator -p administrator -s clear_cache.txt -o cache_out.txt
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't open shared library: jambuild.hpux/Bin/libodbc.sl
/usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory
Abort
BI server is installed on Unix enviroment. Can you help me on this?

Is the location of the file with the problem.
Do you have your install dvd? or do you have a time machine backup?

Every time I try to set up icloud i get a message that my account is not verified and I will get an email about how to verify it. I never get the email. I have reset my password 4 times. My email address is good. My apple id works everywhere it should. For some reason my ipad will find my ipad but not my iphone, and my iphone will find my ipad. I cant change the setting on my iphone so the ipad can find it, because it is greyed out because icloud will not verify my email and password, and never sends me the email to verify it. Am I the only one with this problem?

When I open the Bonusprint software there is a window on the side with 'LIBRARIES' at the top and I can access my photos and albums from here. I can still see all my photos in the various albums etc., underneath and when I click on them they open as thumbnails underneath but iPhoto itself is still paralysed even after I quit the Bonusprint software.

Hi Sasi,
One of the reason for this error is corrupted universe.So you can try following steps and restore copy of universe and then try to import this universe and check whether it works.
1.While importing a universe, a temp file is created in the users local settings temp directory.
2. For example C:\Documents and Settings\brijones\Local Settings\Temp\0dd0b0a7 .
3. File has no extension is relatively the same size as the original universe file.
4.Rename this file to original universe name.
