Can't open up acrobat XI standard.

after I downloaded acrobat XI standard, i ended up with 2 icons , one with looks like the usual acrobat icon but i can't get it to open up. the other looks like a file icon labeled acrobat XI but when I open this it goes a file page with . things that would be in a breakdown of every thing that makes up acrobat XI. when i go to the usual Icon it asks me for my version and serial number BUT its doesn't have acrobatXI listed. when i just list serial number it says it recognizes serial number but it doesn''t match any version listed? should i delete everything and try to download again?

Now I see that FormsCentral is going away and I can't get my doc to save as a PDF without an upgrade? Help

You should be able to log into the online Formscentral Acrobat XI air app and see your doc there. From there you would need to save it out as a PDF without a submit button to have it continue to work past July. If you don't see your online form(s) please let me know the adobeID you use to log into the service as well as the form name that is missing and I will look into it for you.

Because it was valuable software it was never downloadable; also it was a special "OEM" version that could I think only be installed from that CD.
Acrobat 7 doesn't work properly on Windows 7 and later anyway.

As I indicated, the store gives an upgrade from Std to Pro, though I think the price is not appropriate. If you go to the basic page for Acrobat, they are no pushing the subscription version. If you do to the buying guide you get the regular version option (http://www.adobe.com/content/dotcom/en/products/acrobatpro/buying-guide.html). The upgrade is $199, which I think is crazy. Something like $70 is more appropriate, the difference in cost between Std and Pro upgrades, or at least $150 for the difference of the full products. If the Std had been an upgrade, the cost of a full upgrade is not reasonable. Anyway, a screen capture of the cost is below:
So apparently the guys on the chat have no clue what they are talking about. However, that does not surprise me. What bothers me is some of the unreasonable pricing as I see it in the store.

Problems Opening Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard pdf's

My designers are having trouble opening my pdf files I send them with marked changes. I run Acrobat 9 standard and they are using Acrobat Pro 9.5.5 and 9.5.2. We've had no probablems before now and it's just started happening out of the blue. I run Windows 7 on my machine and they run Mac. Any ideas to solve this

Also when you say "send them" - is that by email attachment? That is never a good idea; such attachments can get corrupted, misdirected, or lost completely. And of course there are size limitations.
Far better is to use a file sharing service (such as Files at Acrobat.com, Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, ...), then send the shared download link by email.
