Can't open webmail of custom domain

I have an email address that goes like this:
[email protected]
When I try to access webmail.domainname.com on Firefox (Linux/version 30 - and also experienced it in 29), it doesn't open the classic webmail interface (a login screen, that I got to know about through a friend's laptop - Kali Linux/Google Chrome).
What mine opens is a website bulk-bought by domain name suppliers. That is, the website is a storehouse of advertisements and outbound links of sponsors and domain name holders. It doesn't open the webmail interface but some other website.
How do I access my email account through webmail?

That is not a webmail service. Anyway.
[email protected]
Japanaddicts (japanaddicts.org) is my website. In my domain provider's settings page, along with all those DNS nameserver settings, etc., there was an email service too. I created an email address, and it said I'm done.
It also gave me configurations, like for POP and IMAP, etc. In the end, it said I can also access it through webmail interface. (Here's all the info they gave me: http://pastebin.com/m1FQgb6L ).
Now, my cousin told me about webmails. I, on his laptop (Kali Linux/Google Chrome) opened webmail.japanaddicts.org and it worked. It opened a login page, I logged in, all fine. Just on Firefox (even on version 29), it doesn't open webmail service when I open webmail.japanaddicts.org and opens something else.
I don't believe there's some error or something in the logs that can help you.
If you want to see what is opened, check this: http://i.imgur.com/Qmef9cz.jpg?1

  • Safari can't open webmail age

When I try to access my webmail account at work, I get the following error:
    "Safari can’t open the page.
Safari could not open the page “http://mail.wsd1.org:8383/” because the server is not responding."
    Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

It's a much more serious problem than that. I haven't been able to open this page for a month and suspect it has to do with a port issue.

  • How can i open windows in separate domains in air?

I need to partition my windows into separate domains in a desktop application. I have a MMOG that was running several .swf instances at a time that has been converted to AIR to take advantage of some of the AIR only api's.  Now I have found it is not possible to open more than a single instance of an AIR app (wish someone would have said something BEFORE I spent 2 months upgrading  this old Flex 3 app!)
Before I have fits trying to un-single the singletons (since it would not get me far anyway) would someone please tell me how to open AIR desktop windows in separate applicationDomains?

You can't. Windows Media Player does not exist for the iPad.
What exactly are you trying to do?
If you want to play some .wmv files, then search the AppStore for "wmv player" and download a player app.

  • Iweb installed on a new computer but i have this error message: Can't open file "~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites2."

I have just installed ilife on my  new computer from my disk. I have several backups of my webpage from my  old computer. Everything would be great if I could just run the program. When I click the icon for iWeb I get the following message:  Can’t open file “~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites2.”
Somebody please help! I desperately need to update my website.

In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
    tell application "iWeb" to activate
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder.  So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

  • Can't open file "~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites"

I was working on iWeb today, doing the usual adding pictures, and gave a few pages some color, and a few pictures here and there.
I restart my computer, because as usual, I almost have no memory left. When the computer is running again, I opened iWeb, and I get this odd message:
    Can't open file "~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites"
Why is this here? I didn't do anything weird to trigger such message. The site was working perfectly fine! I tried taking the domain file to the desktop, then opening it once iWeb launches from there, and same message appears. I put it back to its place, and tried putting the iWeb plist on the desktop, and same deal!
Everything is back in its place, I haven't changed or triggered anything to deserve this. I ran Onyx, full optimization update. I restarted computer, and conducted a full disk permission repairs. Only 1 error found out of another app.
My computer is healthy, my programs are running fine. What is going on? Does anyone know how I can fix this?

    Hi
Whaow 3.1GB. I'm sure iWeb has problems with that. I have the same problem with my iWeb. I have about 100 BLOG pages with a lot of pictures. Although iWeb scales the pictures when publishing (good!) it does not scale them when they are stored in the domains file/dir (bad!) So if you have an 8MP camera, this adds up after a while.
You can open the comains file and try to figure out what causes the trouble. (Right click/CTRL click, open content) sort on size to see if you have some extremely large stuff in there (Movies???) Take them out and try to make them smaller.
    Good luck!!

  • Can't open file "~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites2."

    Hello,
I have been using iWeb for over a year and I have a lot of my work on it. But for some reason, when I went to open iWeb, I get the error message:
    +Can’t open file “~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites2.”+
Does anyone know how I can fix this and make sure my content doesn't get deleted?
    Thank You!

Deleting the preference file does not affect the domain.sites2 file. If it's not in the default folder or has a name other than domain.sites2 then that's why iWeb couldn't find and open it. Find it and double-click on it to open it with iWeb 2. You do have a backup copy the domain file, right? If not download and use frequently the Automator application that Varkgirl created. You can get it at Varkgirl's iWeb Tips and Tricks site.

  • Can't open iWeb after upgrading to iLife 11 (Domain.sites2.)

I just upgraded my iLife package from 09' to 11' just a few days ago. Since then I haven't been able to open up iWeb (09'). I realize that the iLife 11 upgrade shouldn't have harmed iWeb 09', but it's the only change/add that I have done to my machine in the past week. Every time I try to launch iWeb either from the dock or from the domain file itself, I receive the following iWeb error:
    Can't open file "/Volumes/Macintosh HD/iWeb/Domain.sites2."
    Has anyone seen this problem?

    MACTr@KkeR wrote:

Did you move the Domain.sites2 file to that location? ...It can be moved, but most peopIe leave it where it usually resides and would see an error msg saying:
    "Can’t open file “~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites2.”
You could try moving your Domain file to the above location and double-click it there. And remember to always backup all your Domain files before messing with them.
By the way, rather than posting a P.S. in your Public Profile:
"i've tried repairing permissions on the domain file with Batchmod as well."

  • Can't open IE 11 for users of my domain

    Hi,
I have prepared a windows 2012 server standard r2, acting as remote desktop server
At the beginning, all is ok but now (after some win updates ????), my users can't open IE 11
I have a blank page for 5-6 seconds and then ie 11 closes.
I have tested several tips :
    - started with -extoff : can' start
    - started as Administrator with domain Administror : It works but it's not a solution
    - nothing in events browser (sometimes DCOM timeout with the CLSID of IE but not each time I try)
    - creating a new local account : can't start
    - adding membership of domains administrators for one of my users -> can't start
How can I fix this problem
    Any ideas ?
I'm not really happy to reformat my server just for that problem
    Best regards

    Hi,
Try this option whether it can resolve your issue.
    1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
    2. Enter Windows features in the search box, tap or click Settings, and then tap or click Turn Windows features on or off.
    3. In the Windows Features dialog box, clear the Internet Explorer 11 check box, and then tap or click Yes in the dialog box that asks if you want to turn Internet Explorer 11 off.
    4. Turn Internet Explorer 11 back on by selecting the Internet Explorer 11 check box, and then tapping or clicking OK.
    More detail.

  • Can't open secured documents on windows 7 domain client with mandatory profiles.

While opening certain PDF files we have the problem that the user is presented with a message that he does not have the rights permissions. This happens twice, after that the users gets an empty page with the message the Adobe version might not be up to date. We use Acrobat Pro 10, but this also happens while using Reader 11.0.8. On our windows 2008 terminal services machine this could be fixed by giving the user rights on c:\ to create and remove a file. :O. On windows 7 this doesn't work probably because of UAC. But we've tried every solution to that available on the internet, disabling uac, changing uac options, changing rights on userprofile folders, changing rights on c:\ but to no avail. When using process explorer we can see it wants to create a temp file p328hkl.tmp or something like that on C but it can't and immediattely after is shows the error on screen.
Anyone who also has this problem or solved it? There are no problems with simple self made pdf files/scans but only with certain types of pdf files for which it tries to create a tmp file.
    Thanks,
    Peter

    Hi Brogers,
Thanks for your reaction. We do have AppData redirection in place. We redirect AppData to a share on our data server which works perfectly fine for all other applications. The weird thing is that Reader/Acrobat try to write to C:\ which to my knowledge should not happen, is this maybe a fallback because it can’t write to a different location? Users have full control on their own roaming AppData but not on their local AppData that is made by windows itself while copying the mandatory default profile to C:\.
I might use the wrong term while saying secured documents. I’m talking about a document created by Raet/Youforce a web application for personal administration. The documents can be opened by other viewers than Acrobat/Reader but then only contain the background and not the text. In Acrobat/Reader they do open normally when Acrobat/Reader can create the .tmp file. Otherwise it will not display the file at all. I would attach such a document to see but since it contains certain info I am not allowed to do so.
I hope we can work out a solution for this.

  • I can not open the messages from the inbox of Vodafone webmail

I have loaded Firefox on my new Nexus 7 android.
I prefer firefox , rather that google crome.
When I try to access mail in my vodafone webmail account I can log on and get to the mail page.
When I click on inbox it shows all the in coming messages but I can not open them.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
The Firefox cache temporarily stores images, scripts, and other parts of websites while you are browsing. <br>
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies, do the following:
#Tap the menu icon located at the top right corner. This is the icon with 3 bars. On older Android devices you'll have to press the hardware menu key and then tap More.
    #Tap '''Settings'''.
#After that, you will be taken to the settings screen. In the settings screen, look under the section '''''Privacy & Security''''' and select '''Clear private data'''.
#You will then be taken to a list of what can be cleared. Select the following 2 for deletion:
    #*Cookies & active logins
    #*Cache
#After those have been selected, tap the '''Clear data''' button to actually clear the cache and cookies.
Did this help you with your problems? Please let us know!

  • Help please! iWeb can't open domain - document

    Hi everyone!
I know there have been posts with topics this sort, but I've tried all the suggested solutions (I think) and nothing changes: iWeb, when launched, comes up with an error message "cannot open file "domain"" or similar (in German) and then quits.
What works is moving the domain file to the desktop and starting iWeb, which creates a new domain file then.
As soon as I replace the index file with the old one the app won't start, so the error I think must be somewhere here.
I've also tried copying the content of the old index file to the new one (in Textedit and BBEdit lite) but this wouldn't work either.
    Any other suggestions?
I'd really appreciate your help since I've got quite a lot of stuff on my website! Besides, this has taught me a lesson already: from now on I will regularly back up this domain file!!

I've solved question about bouncing the apache server according to Doc ID: 471763.1 "R12 How To Bounce Apache And Clear HTML Cache In Vision Instance And Have Updated Java Code Class Active"
Note :At R12 level bouncing apache command is different of the one to bounce oacore oc4j engine andothers. An example of situation is : how to make a modification to a JSPand have > > that modification recognized by the OC4J - JSP engine.
    So to clarify :
    1. In 11i the apache start and stop command , also
bounce the JVM running on JSERV and clear caches by doings as below :To clear the jsp & modplsql caches run this commandrm -Rf $OA_HTML/_pages/*rm -Rf $COMMON_TOP/_pages/*rm -> Rf $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/Apache/modplsql/cache/*
    2. In R12 the command to stop and start apache only takes action on
Apache web server and not on the OC4J container that executes the JVM.
To bounce the OC4J container there is an specific script:
    *$INST_TOP/admin/scripts/adoacorectl.sh*
Therefore when making a modification to a JAVA class in R12 for the
web application, in order to have that change recognized, it is needed to bounce
    OC4J using adoacorectl.sh script.
Bouncing oacore OC4J engine may also be needed if you make
modifications to system properties. Example for JTT based
applications: jtt system properties.Thank you Anoop!

  • Can´t open copied domain file

    Hi
I am new to this forum.
I have built a website and want to move it from one workstation to another.
    Both have Iweb 2009.
the station I built the website on has OS 10.6.2
the station I am copying to has 10.5.8
Once I have copied the domain file, notice the file size is less than the original file.
When it is on the destination work station I get a message "can´t open file".
I have zipped it, then copied it, always the same.
I hope it is not the OS difference that is causing the problem.
    Look forward to any response
    F

What do you mean by a version 10.6.3? Are you referring to a computer running that version? Is it the same domain file? It could be that in copying over to the second computer there was some permission issues or such. Or problems with the preference file on that machine. Files created with System 10.5 will open with 10.6.
Is the iWeb version on the computer you've having problems with the same as the one that created the file? If the version is less than the original then iWeb won't open it, i.e. iWeb 2 can't open iWeb 3 domain files.
If that's not the case Try the following:
    1 - close iWeb.
2 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
3 - go to your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
4 - launch iWeb and see if there's any improvement.
    If that doesn't help continue:
5 - move the domain file from your User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
6 - launch iWeb, create a new test site and save.
7 - go to the your User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
8 - move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
9 - launch iWeb and try again.
