Can't open workbook in Bex via assigned Role

Bex, Netviewer 2004 S, SP level 17.
I have got the folowwing problem :
1. Bex: I have created new workbook and saved it in Role X
2.  in pfcg -> Role X => I see this role and can start workbook from there
3. Bex->Open Workbook->Role X => I don't see and find this Workbook.
I suppose there are authorization problem for role X.
What is Role X missting ?

Thank You. Finally I solved problem by myself :
1.  it was due to CUA. CUA administrator renewed menu trees and all is ok.
2.  Also in composite role  I made reimport menus from single roles, belonging to this composite role X.
Now I have question:
what settings should I Do to see this role in my SAP role menu.
If I will see roles list at once after I logged on into SAP System?

    Thanks, that works when I start a new email from mail and send the photo as an attachment. It does not work when I click on a photo in iPhoto and send it?
    If you select a photo in iPhoto, click mail, once mail opens you go to the format menu and make it plain text it does not work?

  • Can not open workbook

    Hello,
    My discoverer user has this error when using Discoverer:
    "database error - ORA-01031: insufficient privileges: Attempt to open workbook failed"
    I granted this user:
    1)create session
    2)select any table
    3)global query rewrite
    Is there other privileges I must grant to resolve the error. Thank you.

    Your Discoverer users need to have access to both the underlying database and the business areas in order for them to be able to query the system.
    Business area access is controlled form within the Admin edition using Tools | Security from the menu bar. Make sure your users have access to the same business area(s) that Apps does.
    Secondly, the users need to be able to SELECT from the same views, tables and materialized views that the business area uses. There are many ways to do this. The easiest way to do this is to grant the user the SELECT ANY TABLE privilege, which you appear to have grnted. If you do not want to do this then try creating a ROLE that has the necessary grants, GRANT SELECT ON table_name TO role_name, and then grant the role to the user.
    A combination of Admin and database privileges solves most data access issues.
    Whenever I am creating user accounts, I usually assign these privileges:
    CONNECT
    RESOURCE
    ANALYZE ANY
    CREATE PROCEDURE - for Scheduling
    CREATE TABLE - for Scheduling
    CREATE VIEW - for Scheduling
    EXECUTE ANY PROCEDURE
    GLOBAL QUERY REWRITE - for CBO optimization
    UNLIMITED TABLESPACE
    SELECT ON SYS.V_$PARAMETER - for Scheduling
    EXECUTE ON SYS.DBMS_JOB - for Scheduling
    If you have any functions out in the database that you would like the user to be able to use you either need to grant the user execute privileges on those functions or you need to register those functions with the end user layer.

  • Sometimes I Can't open Properties page for a Web Role Project

    Occasionally when I attempt to open the properties for a Web Role project in Visual Studio by right clicking on the project name in the Roles folder I get "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". It doesn't happen very
    often and I have yet to figure out what resolves the problem but it is some combination of restarting Visual Studio, forcing VS Server Explorer to reLogin\reConnect to Azure or opening portal in IE.
    I believe it has only occurred during first hit of the day but VS always tells me I'm currently logged in whenever I right click Azure node in Server Explorer and choose 'Connect to Microsoft Azure...'
    I have looked in Event log for errors but cannot find anything there. How can I attempt to troubleshoot this issue?  

    Went away for awhile. Now I can see all Azure resources for a subscription in the Azure Server Explorer. If I attempt to publish a cloud service from an existing publish profile I see a login dialog flash in\out and I have red x's by my Cloud
    Service and Storage Account in the Publish Summary page.
    From Azure Server Explorer I can see and interact with the Cloud Service and Storage accounts that are Red X'd in the Publish Summary mentioned above. Interesting that when going to storage it does thru up dialog telling me I'm not logged in, it stays a
    second or so, goes away then another flashes and I then see the storage resources populate in the tree and can interact.
    Now if I go to Cloud Service project and open the only Role I have, Visual Studio crashes. Repeated this many times.
    Now if I right click Azure Explorer, Connect to Azure...., it tells me I am signed in as who I expect, click 'Remain signed in with this account', I see error
    Server Explorer
    An error occurred during the sign in process: authentication_ui_failed: The browser based authentication dialog failed to complete for an unkown reason
    OK  
    I can still interact with Azure Server explorer nodes in Azure.
    Now if I right click Azure Explorer, Connect to Azure...., again and choose logout and log in with another account, enter account info, it then says I'm already signed in, I choose to remain signed in but this time get a password prompt.
    I can now open my web role projects Role and now the Publish Summary has no Red X's.

  • Can we open an excel attachment via web frontend of SRM

      I am sending an excel attachment using the function module 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'.I am able to open that in SAP Inbox(SBWP).I want to know whether we can view that attachment when if it is accessed via web frontend of SRM(It will be accessed via internet service BBPBWSP_SIMPLE, and not as much via transaction SBWP in SAPGui), but the details of the attachment need to be visible from both places.

  • Can't open docx-files received via mail client

    I'm using my iPad air (IOS 7.1.2) for my daily business. For that, my emails are synced with my company's exchange server (2007). When I receive an email with a Word docx attachment, I get an error when I try to open the attachment. I tried to open the word files with Word app, GoodReader, DocsToGo, Pages). The file is loaded and then, I got the error, that the file is corrupted. If I login in to the web version of Outlook, I can open the file with the mentioned apps. How can I solve the problem?

  • Can't open indesign files sent via email

    hello, a customer sent me indesign-files (CS6, CS4 and IDML). i think they are using the mac version. i have indesign CS6 on pc and everytime i try to open one of the files, indesign reports an failure: missing file oder missing authorisation. does anyone know any solution?

    As previously mentioned, the files must be extracted from any archive and saved to a hard drive location before you open it. I have seen this error message once or twice in the past with a file that should have opened (stored on a network drive, which may have played a role), I think. They didn't happen to also include the .idlk file with what they sent? If so, delete it.
    Have you tried clicking the "As a Copy" radio button inthe open dialog to make a new, untitled copy? If that works you can save with a new name and move on.

  • BEx Browser35 for GUI720: Workbooks in BEx Analyzer cannot be opened

    Hello,
    When trying to open Workbooks using BEx Browser35 the Workbooks do net get opened within BEx Analyzer, the "lInks" seem to be inactive.
    The test has been conducted using SAPGUI720 with BEx35_Patch1 and Windows7/Office2010_32bit.
    Does anyone know if this problem is related to the new SAPGUI-version being used or is this a known error requriring some manual configuration.

    My web mail (BT yahoo) used to allow me to "open" or "save" e-mail attachments. It now does forces me to save the file to my documents (or desktop) before I can open it. This happens even with common files such as Word (.doc) files and Excel files. I am using Windows XP and can still open attachments directly if I use Internet Explorer for web mail, so it appears to be a settings problem with Firefox

  • How to trigger approval request for resources after assigning role

    Hi,
    We have a use case where we need to assign resources to user via assigning roles.
    In order to achive this use case
    1. we have created a role and assigned the access policy to it which contain the resources to be provisioned once the role is assigned to the user.
    2. Created a SOA composite having manager approval and assigned this composite to a approval policy of type 'Assign Role'.
    3. I am already having the approval policy for the resources which are present in roles. The approval policy of resources is of type "Provision Resource".
    4. Also the SOA composite for resource apporal is deployed in OIM and assigned to the approval policy.
    5. Now when I am raising the request from OIM of type "Assign Role" the approval defined in the SOA composite for Role approval gets triggered. After approving the role request the role is assigned to the user and also the resources defined in the access policy gets provisioned to teh user account.
    Now I want to trigger the resource approval process after the role approval instead of directly provisioning the resources. So that once the role is approved the individual Approval Process of resources part of roles should also gets invoked. Based on the approval or rejection of resources approval, the resource gets assigned to the user.
    Please let me know how to achieve the above use case.

    Access policy is saying whoever gets xyz role, will get this abc resource. Now once a user gets xyz role, you are stopping to get abc resource? both are contradictory. Don't go through access policy. User is anyway going to request for roles. Modify your flow and make user request for resource. Have your composite and approval policy attached. User will get resource once it is approved.

  • Default Query or Workbook on BEx Open

    Is there a way for individual users to set a default Query or workbook to execute when they open BEx?

    There is a way to do it using Windows functionality.
    right click on the Analyzer icon and add the full path name of the work book (which is saved on the local PC) in the Target text box.
    You can also open the saved work book and then run the Analyzer.
    I don't think there is a way to do it via the BW server.

  • By opening of a BEx-Workbook marco would be deaktivate

    I'm working on Netweaver 7.0, since tody morning by the openning of a BEx-workbook, I got a message "macro in this file is not agree in the digital signatory, only a macro virus can be the cause. macro would be deaktivate."
    I can open the work book, but the marco is allways deaktivate. If I turn the secrity degree from medium to low, then I can run the query on this workbook. I get this case since today.
    The workbook, which I created yesterday and saved on my desktop, can be opened without this issue.
    I'm totally confused, can somebody give somme idea?

    Dear Renee,
      Kindly check if this will be applicable to your scenario.
      Since you have changed your query to meet the user's requirements by adding a hierarchy, etc.:
      1) Open your workbook where this query is assigned to.
      2) Once the workbook has been opened, instead of refreshing the query, try to click the "change (global)" option in Bex toolbar. This should lead you to the query which you previously changed.
      3) In the query designer, just do a re-save and execute. The query will be executed on the workbook with its changes.
      4) If the desired results have been obtained in your workbook, re-save your workbook with this new layout.
      5) Close and re-open your workbook and refresh it once again. It should now generate the new changes based on your query.

    Is there a way to open a workbook in BEx, just knowing its ID and name?
    Workbook is not saved in a role, psooibly in favourites of a user. In 3.5 using FM RSAH_LAUNCH_EXCEL
    was a way to achieve this.
    Any ideas?

    Please let ne give a short explanetion of my issue:
    i'm BW Admin, we are currently "moving" from 3.5 to 7.0. My problem is, that I'm  missing al ot of ueseful tools, provided in 3.5.,
    not longer available in 7.0, as you can see form my threads in the past. In all of the long years of working in IT, I never expeienced such a step back and a lack od conbienence intrducing a new release of any software.
    However, one of my users is spending his holidays and a collegue just wants to run a workbook obviously saved
    in his favourites. And I'm still searching for a possibilty for achieving this in a easy way, without changing settings in
    user administration (copying favourites copying ,even etire user....).

  • Only two Workbook roles can be seen  in NW04s Bex 7.0

    A user has access to over five workbook roles but when she opens
    Bex 7.0 -

    user can only see two workbook roles. I delete these two workbook roles, and user reopens Bex 7.0, user will see the next two workbook roles. Does this mean user can only see two roles at at time in NW04s Bex 7.0? Has anyone come accross similar case?
