How do i open sites that require adobe flash? I can't open my own website, not to mention tons of other sites.  It's ridiculous.

Flash is not supported on the iPad and never has been supported on any iOS device - and as Adobe have never managed to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, and they have recently announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.

  • I can't open any flash website. Why?

I can't open any flash website. I don't know why.

It would help to know what Browser you are using and your OS version. You probably need to install the latest version Flash Plug-In.

  • Can't open an Italian website

    Hi to you all,
I can't open an Italian bank website using Safari. This web site requires IE, Nestcape and Mozilla. Does this mean that I have to download and use one of this browsers to access this website? Thank you

    Hello,
I can't open an Italian bank website using Safari
Which bank and what specifically is the error when you try to access the site? Have you contacted the bank to see whether they support Safari?
Does this mean that I have to download and use one of this browsers to access this website?
Based on what we know so far, it sounds like you will have to do that for the time being.

  • Can't open online sbi website in firefox 32.0.3

I'm using firefox 32.0.3 right now. Every sites work fine but i cannot open onlinesbi.com. It say "The connection has timed out" on firefox but open fine in other browsers including internet explorer. I reset firefox 2 times but still the problem exists. However it will open in lower version of firefox. Please look through the problem.

Since the problem with https://www.onlinesbi.com only occurs in Firefox, first clear your Firefox cookies and cache, and if that doesn't help, check for malware. For detailed instructions see

What site? What kinda files are they?  If pdf are you sure they are formatted to PDF standards? Also does your system have  PDF reader program installed to load and read those files? Also you sure your firewall or A/V isn't blocking PDF files form being opened? You should try to open those same sites from different computer and see if you get the same problem and if you do that would mean it's a problem on the website and not the computer.

  • Can't open my old website made in sharepoint designer

why can't i load my old website from the c-drive? It's made with an old version of Sharepoint designer but it's not recognized now. I recieve a message:
Microsoft Sharpoint designer does not support the editing of non-Sharepoint sites. (translation from Dutch)
But the site is built with Sharepoint designer. Annoying.

the site has to actually be running in sharepoint.  It cannot recognize it as a sharepoint site as the .NET code wont execute when you just load from the file system

  • Can I open a new website inside a lightbox?

    Hi.
I'm struggeling with how to setup the best eCommerce plan in Muse for my customer. I think I will go for Shopify's soulution because they have the right payment gateway for me as an scandinavian ... Wazala has only paypal. But I really want to integrate the Shopify url inside muse so that when the user press a SHOP NOW button a lightbox opens with the Shopifypage within .... is this possible?
The sad thing is that I don't think I can implement the HTML code like you can with the Wazala soulution.

That is an interesting idea, however shopfly is pretty much an all in one solution so trying to put an ecommerce website into another website is pretty much redudant. Wazala is a little different because it isn't a complete ecommerce website. It is an embeddable shop. You can also try cashiecommerce.com. It is free to use and try and allows a lot of customization for embedding into Muse. There is also Ecwid.com.

  • Can't open a specific website with BT infinity

    Hello
I got a massive problem with BT infinity (fibre to home service, BT HomeHub 5).
To make a long story short:
Internet normally works quick and fine (I get 70 Mbps download speed and 20 upload on average) BUT a specific website I use for job purposes doesn't work.
This problem first arose when I upgraded from BT Broadband to Infinity last year; prior to that that website worked just fine.
So you may be asking yourselves why I had waited one year to speak up: simple, because in the meantime I had managed to bypass the problem. To be more precise the website I am talking about has a numeric extension which I just deleted and things worked fine (EXAMPLE: www.iamnanogianni.com:123 , I just would type www.iamnanogianni.com and it worked) unfortunately this is not possible anymore and that extension has now to be typed in order to open the website.
This won't just work for me.The page I try to load looks scrambled and after I type my username and password it just freezes.
-I've checked the firewall (and also temporarily disabled it to see if that was the problem),
-I have reset both the HomeHub 5 and the OpenReach modem,
-I have utilised a old HomeHub3 modem (exactly same result),
-I have called BT 100 times and they say that that particular website is not blocked. Sometimes they say it is a coincidence this is not working (!!!), some other times they just remain speachless, sometimes they genuinely try to help but to no avail sadly,
-As soon as I disconnect from my router and connect to, say, BTfon WIFI then the website magically works  on my laptos. I am talking about a Mac and a Dell,
-Last but not least an OpenReach engineer came to my place and left empty handed (ie he was not able to determine the problem).
What would you do if you were me?
Many thanks in advance for your help

If you are using a web browser, then without the extension it will default to port 80. As you are using a non-standard port, which is actually reserved for the NTP service, you will need to use the port 123 extension.
I cannot see how it could possible work without the extension, without some form of redirection.
You need to move the webserver to port 80, and not port 123.
There are some useful help pages here, for BT Broadband customers only, on my personal website.

  • Can't open PDFs from website. Use OS X 6.8 & Firefox 24

When I click on the link, I get a blank screen. If I switch to Safari I can open PDFs, but not with Firefox. Can you help?

  • I can't open a certain website. It keeps saying "connection was reset"

    The connection was reset
-The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
-The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
    - If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
-If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
I tried clearing the cookies and the cache and tried installing and reinstalling flash but nothing worked.. Also, internet explorer won't load the page either.. I have tried installing windows update but it failed..

As two separate browsers have problems, maybe the problem is with the site. Is the problem only with on or a few sites. Obviously you are managing to use Firefox to write these messages so it seems you have internet access still.
Alternatively look at things affecting both browsers, such as settings for proxies, and any security or firewall software.

  • Can't Open One Particular Website

For some reason, I can't seem to open retailmenot.com on my macbook. I have tried it on chrome, safari, and firefox. And none of them could open the site. I have tried to empty my cache and browsing history, but to no avail. I have tried with anonymous proxy like anonymouse.org or Browser9.com, again gives me messages like can't find the page or it is unavailable.
When I run a Traceroute from http://www.dnsstuff.com/, I get the following message:

    Hi,
I can open that site no problem with Safari 5.0.4
Since you can't access the site on any of your browsers, you might want to try restarting your router.
    And try OpenDNS.
Open System Preferences - Network then select the Advanced tab then select the DNS tab.
    On the left click +
Add these numbers exactly as you see them here.
    208.67.222.222
    Click + again.
    Enter: 208.67.220.220
    Click OK.
Restart your Mac. See if that makes a difference.
