Can't oracle save special characters copied from ms sql?

In our application when we copy-pasting some text in text area and trying to save that in database, same text is not getting saved. What we were trying to save is: “jjjjjjjjjjj’”*******!!`sachin, and what is getting saved is: ¿jjjjjjjjjjj¿¿*******!!`sachin. When I was trying to save the same text executing a procedure, text is getting saved properly. But from the application it is not the same.
Please suggest a solution. Is it not possible from oracle? Do we need to change any character encoding scheme?

You seem to be very desparate for an answer.
Please post your code/sample data/error in your own thread so that people could try to answer you. There are rules governing DML operations on views which in turn work on the underlying tables. You must be violating some rule(s) in your query.

There is really no way to modify Apple's keyboards or add your own in iOS, but there are some apps that may provide a work around.

This has nothing do to with NLS_LANGUAGE. In general, character set processing depends on NLS_LANG setting (which is an OS setting and not a instance initialization parameter) and database character set. To understand NLS_LANG see OTN NLS_LANG FAQ http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/globalization/htdocs/nls_lang%20faq.htm.
However, I think that JDBC is an exception and does not use the character set defined by NLS_LANG. See last answer in following discussion:

Special characters pasted from Word doc not rendering in Adobe Reader

We have recuiters who have copy/pasted special characters from MS-Word into a new eRecruiting requisition (the text contained square bullets from a bulleted list). When pasted into the requsition, the Adobe pdf displays those characters as "-,," to the recruiter. When end users then display the PDF, the results are inconsistent. Some desktops render the text without displaying bullets, and others show an Adobe Reader popup: "The Japanese Language Support Package is required to display this page properly".
I am wondering what device settings are causing these differences and if there is a solution to display the special characters.

to make things short, although this is probably not very satisfying, you should prevent all your end users from copying text from word into an e-recruting application. Word contains tons of non-printable characters and as SAP uses completly other code-pages than windows everything can happen when these characters are loaded into sap.
Be aware that this is not only effecting the formating. It took me 2 weeks last year to find out that a single posting was not found in the job search as one of the "spaces" in a posting text was in real a special character which made the TREX abort indexing on this publication documents.
If you like bullet point lists in your publications there are ways to work with escape characters, we usally use the # character. So the recruiter types flow text and if he likes bullet points he just starts his paragraphs with # and then the publication transforms them automatically into bullet points. If you are quite familiar with smartforms adding this takes perhaps a day. If you want I can link some customer publication example and add some guidance how to build this.

Restore from the backup of your old computer. Copy it from the CDs.
Look for a 3rd party app that can do what you want. Senuti has been
mentioned in the past - I do not use it so cannot comment on how

iOS does not natively support syncing music back from the iPhone

This will ensure many attributes gets proper value. If template is not copied, in later phases user faces problem with few attributes not being set.

Regarding the final PDF you produce with the Print button; when the user hits the Print button the usual printer dialogue box is launched and s/he can select which pages he wants to print and the number of copies. I think this is what you said this is what your customer wants.
Note: when you add the Print button, within the Acrobat Forms facility, you then go to Button Properties dialogue box and select Actions, select the trigger (i.e. On Mouse Down); Add an Execute a menu Item, click on Add and select File > Print from the drop-down list. A bit complicated to explain here, but easier enough if you have a play around with it. Acrobat Forms are a wonderful facility – well worth exploring the many things you can do with them. Especially if you set up your document first in InDesign!

Problem with special characters loaded from XML

I have an XML whose elements contain special characters (for example: ñ, Ñ, á, Á, etc..), When I load the XML and make a Trace () the loaded element, I see that it is loaded correctly, but then in the text field is not special characters. For example in the XML I have the text Baños, but in the text field shown Baos.
It is clear that in the text field are incorporated upper case, lower case, numerals, punctuation symbols and Basic Latin.
I also tested with the judgment System.useCodePage = true in the code but does not work.

Hi, before reading your answer I tried embedding all characters and surprise surprise, it worked!
So then I was testing with embedded characters to see what was the need to display special characters (like "ñ", "í", etc..) and discovered that it has to be built or yes is Latin I (194/388 glyphs).

Can Apple TV display special characters in movie chapter names?

I have an Apple TV 2.0.1. I have encoded my own movies with descriptive chapter names, imported them into iTunes 7.6.2.9, and synced them to my Apple TV. Does the Apple TV have the ability to display special characters (ó, û, etc.) in movie chapter names? The movies play fine and in iTunes the chapter names are all displayed correctly. I also have an iPod Touch 1.1.4 and it can display the chapter names with special characters fine as well. When playing the movies on Apple TV, only the chapters that have special characters in them display nothing at all for the chapter name. All the other chapters display fine.

I can't really confirm your observation one way or the other, I don't use chapter names. I suspect though that your observations are correct. Unusual characters can often cause issues in a variety of ways, illegal characters in your filenames for example can cause the video not to be found at all or in some cases simply not play. If you are using ie instead of safari for example the  in my welcome my well not display properly whereas others will clearly see it as an apple symbol.

If you have not done so, you may want to restart your computer.
That message (about the song file not found) means iTunes cannot locate the song file where it expects to find it. Are you sure you can still play the song in iTunes (?), because you may get a yellow exclamation point next to the song, meaning the same thing; iTunes did not find the song file where iTunes expected to find it.
The consolidate command would not help if iTunes can't locate the files.
That might mean they were moved or deleted. If you do a Get Info (from right-click) on one of those songs, the Info window should tell you the expected location of the song file, on the Summary tab next to Where. Follow that path (using Windows) to see if the song file is there.

Why does your site not allow the use of special characters in passwords? Do you not want your customers to be as secure as possible?
As a network security admin, limiting passwords to prohibit special characters is an extremely poor security practice.
Telling me that my security as a customer is important, then tell me that your own system limits my ability to keep my account as secure as I would like seems quite backwards. Hi, sorry to hear that you are experiencing these problems, but sometimes a new machine (be it Apple, Dell, whatever) can be defective right out the box - its not unheard of.
If your machine came with defective hardware and is still under warranty (seems to be the case here) then you have nothing to lose taking it back to where you bought it and, if there really is defective hardware present I am sure they'll rectify the problem.
A small note: these problems are not manufacturer-specific - its pointless blaming the manufacturer as I can assure you this happens with ALL brands. Apple supplies quality hardware and software - I know of a user who has had a machine switched on since 1987 without problems

Can I and How do I copy from one iWeb site to another.

I currently have a few different versions of my web site stored as different doman.sites I would like to copy a blog entry from one into another. Is it possible to do that and if so how. I am sure I could copy all the text and all the pictures separtly and then paste them in, but that would be tendious as I would either have to keep opening and closing iWeb between the different versions or have them both open on separte accounts on my computer and keep jumping back and forth between them. Any suggestions? Let me know.

Currently, the solution only offers one copy. If you need to print multiple copies, the workaround is to send the email multiple times.
