Can't Paint Cuz Layer is Locked?
Sometimes when I start a new document and try to paint on it I get some warning that the layer is locked or some garbage, so I create a new layer and try to paint on that and it's like stuck on the move tool or something, even though it clearly has the brush tool selected. Anyone else get this weird issue?

Nice try, Mark, but actually the machine is very nice. Quad-core proc, 6 GB RAM on 64-bit Vista, $400 nVidia Quadro FX 1700 graphics card. Everything is pretty spanking new. If Photoshop can't handle that then I don't know WHAT to say!
And I verified that my layer wasn't locked too, so I know that wasn't the issue. I checked all the icons on the layers panel to see if the transparency was locked, any padlock icons on the layer, etc. None of it was.
But somehow, when I tried over and over, somehow it just worked itself out. It's completely intermittend and it presents itself even on a fresh start of the application.

Can't paint at full opacity in layer mask in CS6 64 bit windows 7
A problem has developed in my photoshop CS 6 64 bit on windows 7. I can't paint at full opacity in a layer mask. It is like an 75 % opacity brush. I have gone back to the default brushes soit is not the particular bursh. My brush settings are all at 100%, mask density is 100% , the blend mode is normal,-can't think of where else to look for the solution.The brush works just fine when I am not in a layer mask.
I updated the graphic card driver and also the wacom intuos driver. It has to be somewhere in photoshop CS6 as when I go into my older version photoshop, cs5, the mask opacity works works at 100 % opacity
Any ideas of what to do next.I am having a similar problem that I need help with. I just loaded CS6 for the first time ever last week and have been tinkering around with photo editing. I am trying to use an action I downloaded to whiten the whites of the eyes and teeth. When I run the action I cannot paint with the soft white brush. I hit backslash and it shows no work completed, just a red background. I have everything selected at 100% opacity (brush and action layer).
A couple days ago I was able to use the brush tool to darken the background by loading an action and paiting on. Now I can't do that anymore.
I can use my brush for other tasks. I am so confused. I would greatly appreciate any insight. -
How can I get the screen to lock on my iPhone 4, so I don't press buttons while talking?
I just upgraded to the iPhone 4. When I am talking on the phone, the screen doesn't lock, so I am constantly pressing buttons or hanging up on the person I'm talking to. How can I get the screen to lock while I'm talking? It's driving me NUTS.
The otterbox is one of the culprits. Take the phone out of the case and see if it still happens. If so it is not the case. If the problem goes away, then you may need to make the hole slightly larger. My family has three iPhone 4's in otterboxes and none have this problem. Other users on this forum have reported success with the above methods.

Which keyboard layout you were using? German, French ... I suppose your layout is reset to the default: US and you are unable to find the "?" or "/" ...
Please have a look into the keyboard viewer, to see how the layout of your keyboard is actually.

In iOS 7 you can still make calls from the locked screen. Just swipe the missed call numbers to the right. Is this a bug?
How is it a security breach? You're free to turn off lock screen notifications for the phone app so that no one can do that.... even if they can, they can only call the number that called you... nothing else. (well, except for 900 or whatever the emergency services number is where you are, but that's required by law).

Photosho CS Problem - Can't drag a layer set from one document to another one
I have two documents open
On the source document, i want to drag a layer set from this document to a new one, but its not letting me
What would cause this.
My structure for the source document is

A reset should help: Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons and await restart.

I have entered the wrong numbers to put my phone in pass code lock. However, I didn't set the autolock....how can I get the pass code lock reset?
Your only choice is to place the phone in DFU mode (search Google for instructions) and restore as a new device. You will lose all your data.

My ipod touch is disabled and it says to connect to itunes but itunes says it can't sync because it is locked. Any way to unlock and keep data? (apps, gaming levels, music).

Take it to you nearest Apple Store and see what they have to say. You should back up you data before you go in but in your case you can not.

Match edges error message - can't find current layer

If I use filter --> "match edges" an error message appears: can't find current layer.
It is no different if it is a smartobject or a rasterized layer.
Are there any suggestions to fix this problem?
What layer-order is exactly to be used?
Is there anything I could try? Btw: the filter "interpolate" seems to work right.

Wow, that took longer than I thought. I have been back for a couple of hours, and spent that time running the uninstall program, and then going to users/library/VirtualBox and deleting that folder, and its contents. Next I downloaded a fresh copy of VirtualBox from the Sun website, installed it on my computer, then ran the VirtualBox set up (setup the settings) and then clicked on the start icon. After the splash screen, I once again got the same error message. I repeated that routine at least three time, all three times I received the same message.
I then got the bright idea to go into my time machine and went back to several days after I had installed the program previously (March 25, 2009) and retrieved both the program from the application folder, and the vb folder from the user library, restoring them to my present computer state. After all, I thought, if it worked on March 25th, those files should work now. DRAT, I was wrong, Got the same message at the same place in the startup routine.
So, Dave and Dave, after a little more futzing around, I'm now back to the same place I was when I first posted about my problem: My win xp disk will still not mount. ****!!!
