Can't pick correct timezone for Lightning from city dropdown list

My country, Iceland, uses UTC all year round with no daylight savings. Europe/Reykjavík (or even better, Europe/Kópavogur !) is not an option and so with Casablanca (old Windows default too) taking on the timezone mantle the daylight savings mean my Lightning Calendar always displays the incorrect time (although the alerts come at the right time). This is very confusing when one of my Calendars is a synced writable Google Calendar.
I've been trying to find out how to edit the timezone settings manually but no luck so far. To fix this an additional option in the Timezone dropdown menu for Iceland needs to be added, one that is UTC all year round with no daylight savings.

Atlantic/Reykjavík isn't an option. Hence my problem.
The timezone list is in Icelandic interestingly enough, with a minor spelling error or two, but no Reykjavík under Evrópa/ and no Atlantic variant.

  • How do I make a drop down list of text in numbers as it is made in the example spreadsheet for comparing cars for buying where you can choose a value from a dropdown list for each car?

how do I make a drop down list of text in numbers as it is made in the example spreadsheet for comparing cars for buying where you can choose a value from a dropdown list for each car?

Where is this example spreadsheet? Without seeing it I can only guess at what you are asking.
To make a drop-down list (a pop-up menu in Numbers-speak), format the cell as a pop-up then edit and add to the list of items.
If the example spreadsheet is pulling in a dollar value based on what car you chose in the pop-up, it is probably using LOOKUP or one of the other lookup functions, getting the information from another table (a lookup table). If, instead, these dollar values are what you are choosing in the pop-up, then you need to create a pop-up with these values in it.
The Help menu includes a link to a page where you can download the Numbers Users Manual. It also has a link to the Formulas and Functions guide. Both are useful to new users.

I can not install the firefox for android from the android market. It is showing me that the app is incompatible with my device and no other information is provided. I am not sure whats the problem with that ! Is it incompatible with the device or the android version ?
Mine is LG P500 with version Froyo 2.2.2. Any help ?
I was waiting to surf web with firefox from my phone for a long time. can anyone please let me know any known solution to it.

The mobile version of Firefox for Android requires a processor that supports the ARMv7 architecture, the LG Optimus P500 does not meet that requirement, it supports the ARMv6 architecture.

  • I am being forced to create 3 security question from your dropdown list and I can choose the questions but can't enter anything in the answer field??

I am being forced to create 3 security question from your dropdown list and I can choose the questions but can't enter anything in the answer field??

The problem is twenty three people leaving or twenty three thousand leaving has zero impact on a carrier with over 100 million customers. And they have the lowest churn rate. So if 10,000 or 20,000 or more churn out it means little to the carrier.
If you have a real lawyer he/she will advise you that you have no case. The device was not lost or stolen by the carrier, you were not eligible for a new device, and like any business who employs large numbers of poorly trained personnel who make low wages what was told to you is not in writing. So a verbal exchange does not hold up.
In fact in Verizon's customer agreement it has such a disclaimer against any verbal exchanges so if you have that agreement in writing, go get them.
The posting on public forums and places like Face Book, Linkin, Google+ or a personal web site can open you up to a lawsuit for Dilution of Trade Name, and other offences. However if you have proof then go for it.
Unfortunately that is how big business works today. A pity

  • How can I drag and drop a song from my "Purchased" list on to my i-Pod?

I've recently updated the apple software on my PC and the new version of i-Tunes won't let me drag and drop songs from my "Purchased" list directly to my i-Pod.  I don't want to sync my i-Pod.  It will erase all the songs on my i-Pod and sync with the playlist from my PC.  I want to select just one song from my "Purchased" list and put that on my i-Pod.

I got my own answer !!   I saw it on another post.  Select "View" and then toggle down to "View Sidebar".
Now I can drag and drop like before.

  • How can I "DELETE, NOT HIDE" my app from my purchased list?

I have a child.  And like children they are very clever sometimes with downloading apps.  Mine has downloaded hundreds of apps on my account in the last couple years and I want to delete them from my purchased list.  I am kinda OCD when it comes to Data organization and like to be able to sort quickly through my list instead of constantly questioning certain apps that I may or may not have downloaded. I think we should have the right to delete these apps at our discretion. Simply hiding the app does nothing for me.  Will we see this soon?

I agree. It should be possible to completely remove any app from the 'Purchaced' list. Especially the 'free' apps that we trie and uninstall after we discover it is not what we wanted. Now these apps remain in the list forever?

  • Can I have a ringtone for people on my contact list and a different tone for unknown people?

I want to have a ringtone for people one my contact list and a different tone for people not on my contact list, which for me is always commercial that I do not even want to pick up.

To do this, you would have to assign the ringtone to each contact individually, and then set the default tone to something different under the Sounds menu in Settings.

  • CS 6 Design & Web missing from Product dropdown list on install

I am trying to install Adobe CS 6 Design & Web Premium.  When I enter my serial # it gives me a dropdown of products with the message "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."  CS6 Design & Web Premium does not appear on the product dropdown list.  I am upgrading from CS 4 Design Premium.  Any ideas how I can get this?

    Hi there,
    Welcome to the Community!
It seems that you have bought an upgraded serial number of Adobe CS6 Design & Web premium and it is asking for a previous version.
Do you have a previous version either of Design premium or Web premium CS5.5 or CS5?
Please contact Adobe support to discuss further options, check it here: http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

  • Undesired database update from a dropdown list

    Hi,
I'm using a dropdown list as a criteria to search data in another table which has reference over the data that is displayed in the dropdown list.
My problem is that when I change the selection of the dropdownlist the data is changed with the new selection, I don't want than my selection change any data of the database.
Do you know how I can create a dropdownlist independent of any field of the data base, but at the same time that the dropdown list take the list of values from the database?
    Thanks,
    Pedro

One thing you can try is creating a binding in Navigation mode. In the Data Control Palette, select your view instance, instead of the attribute. Select combo box from the "Drag and Drop As" box, and drag the view instance to your page/screen. On the bindings tab of the structure window, double-click the new binding, and you can select which attribute you want your control to display.
Otherwise, you would have to override the list model with your own, and plug in whatever values you want it to display.

  • Populating text boxes from a dropdown list connected to an Access DB

Hi, I have successfully connected to a MS Access data with a Dynamic Drop down box but I am having trouble scripting the change with a script that works to populate the 3 text fields with the remaining data from the 3 columns associated with the item chosen in the drop down box.
Also does the program support being able to use the drop down box and the fields to add data to the DB. I have just started using LiveCycle Designer 8.
    Thanks.

Try this code on the exit event of your dropdown list:
    tfList.rawValue = tfList.rawValue + " " + this.rawValue;
I'm presuming that the list you're adding items to is called tflist. If it doesn't work, let us know.

  • Can't get correct resolution for second monitor

I am trying to use two monitors with a Vostro 1400 (Intel X3100 video card), the problem is I can't set the external monitor to 1280x1024. Gnome's screen resolution program only let me choose from 640x480 to 1360x768. Besides the resolution of the second monitor, everything else seems to be working fine. Some relevant info:

    Yes, I tried xrandr:
    $ xrandr --newmode "1280x1024" 65.0 1024 1048 1184 1344 768 771 777 806 -vsync -hsync

$ xrandr --output VGA --mode 1280x1024
$ xrandr --output VGA --right-of LVDS
At first this didn't work at all, so I tried to mess with screen resolution applet and got output on the second monitor, but not at the desired resolution.
I tried running these commands again and got output on the second monitor, but at the wrong resolution. The strange part is that the resolution I want is listed by xrandr:
