Can't Pick Up Package

Question

I was really apalled to find that best buy has not addressed this issue, i sadly bought a best buy item and now am unable to collect my laptop at the local UPS Customer Service Center because best buy does not allow it. I now will have to find someone to wait at my home for the package as i will have to wait until the next buisness day when i like most adults will be at work. I was even more dismayed when i read the responses to threads of this nature from the best buy staff their answer was to simply say its going to be redelivered and if your not there on the third day your out of luck. If i had known having a item shipped would be this difficult because i would not be allowed to simply pick up my item or reschedule a delivary i would have never purchased a item through best buy. My hope is to make this situation more well known so the next person does not have the same unsavory experience.

UPS typically only allows customers who have their UPS My Choice service to have products held for pickup.  On top of this, we want to make sure that your purchase arrives safe and sounds, and to do this, we may require at risk items to be signed for by someone at the residence.  I truly apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you, especially as I’m sure you would much rather have your order by now instead of trying to figure out a way to be home to sign for it.
One way to avoid this in the future would be to set your order for in-store pickup whenever possible.  The order should then be held for you up to 8 days, allowing you to pick it up at your convenience.  Regrettably, since this order has already shipped, we are unable to modify it to be picked up in a store.
