Can't play a track that I downloaded from iTunes.
I just downloaded an audiobook from iTunes. For some reason I'm not able to play the third track. It won't sync to my iPod either. The error that I get when I try to add it to my iPod is:
"Track Name" was not copied to the iPod "Jack's iPod" because it cannot be played on this iPod.
When I try to play it from iTunes, it won't even acknowledge that it is there. I can click on it to my hearts content and it won't play.
Any ideas?

First, I'd suggest unsetting your caps lock. It is generally considered inappropriate behavior to type all in uppercase letters in Internet discussions, as text that is typed all in uppercase is by convention considered to be shouting. Uppercase is also more difficult to read, so please use all uppercase sparingly and only when you really mean to shout, which we hope you won’t need to do here .
Anyway, what version of iTunes and QuickTime are you running? If you're not on the latest - iTunes 7.1.1 and QuickTime 7.1.5 - you might try updating and see if that makes a difference.
But if it's just one tracks that's having problems, and other tracks purchased from the iTunes Store play correctly, then you may have an incomplete or corrupted download. Contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of their Download FAQ web page (I recommend that you use the form, not the link in your Purchase History as they advise; that's not proven to be very reliable) and explain the problem to them.

Unfortuantely, you can only track the phone if you had set up iCloud and enabled Find My iPhone on it before it was lost or stolen. I don't believe there is anything that Apple can do to locate your phone either.

How can I get my books that I download from the Library that are WMA files into my I tunes so I can listen to them. They have a ton of books but I can only listen to them from my windows media player and I wouldlove to download to my I pod but I have tried everything I can think of it they won't go over. Someone said all I had to do was copy them over and they would convert but I can't even get them to copy. Thanks.
Well it started happening AGAIN with my 2nd IPod. No matter what I did, it Itunes would NOT restore it!
I finally installed Itunes on my hubby's PC at work and managed to get it restored there.
Apparently, there must be some sort of compatibility issue with the windows version of Itunes and some other piece of software on my pc.
And one more important thing! I had to follow the instructions in the other thread that talks about how to correctly uninstall itunes and quicktime, in order to completely eliminate ALL traces of my "first" ipod's existence so it wouldn't demand that I restore it.
I think the software got "confused" and thought when I connected my 2nd ipod, that it was the 1st and that it still needed to be restored.
Basically, this is just POORLY written and POORLY tested software! -
I have iTunes 10.6.3.25 and I can't find my audiobooks that I downloaded from a library website. The audiobook tab is visible in iTunes but none of the audiobooks are there. They are on my iPod nano. Please help!
When you say they are displaying in your iTunes library, are you talking about the Audiobooks section of your iTunes library and not the audiobooks section indented under the iPod in the left pane of iTunes under Devices?
Is the iPod Shuffle configured to sync audiobooks or do you manually manage the iPod's contents?

When playing a video I have downloaded from iTunes I get the message "This Movie Cannot be played on this machine". The weird thing is that I downloaded the film from iTunes and while it was downloading I was watching it with my kids on my IMac. Once it had finished downloading I went with them to the living room Tao carry on watching on our apple tv. The apple TV wouldn't play it and said I needed to authorise my Pc, then the IMac gave the message above and I haven't been able to play it since. All my other downloaded films play. I am running iTunes version 10.2.2. And my iMac is Running Snow Leopard OS 10.6.7. Anyone who can shed some light on this weird situation will have my upmost thanks

I have the same problem. Been trying to find some answers, but not a lot of info about this. It seems to happen only when:
- itunes library is stored remote (NAS or external HD)
- starting a movie/show before download has finished will make it fail next time you try to start

You don't, as ringtones are a one time purchase and as such can't be redownloaded.
If you still have them on your iTunes library, you may sinc them from there.
If you have a backup that contains them, you may restore your phone from that backup.
Or you can go to expresslane.apple.com and try for a re-issue. Which they do only occasionally and depending on the circumstances. -

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

My iphone wont play certain songs that i bought from itunes on my phone, it just skips songs. Does anyone know how to fix this?
So i fixed it by converting each song to a AAC File or whatever. Made a dulicate song but it works, just right click on the song and hit convert to aACC File. For one album I had to right click view in apple store and hit download on the songs that were skipping.

You can view the full purchase history on your account via your computer's iTunes : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.
On an iOS device you can only view the last 90 days purchases (and optionally contact iTunes Support if you have a problem with one of them) via http://reportaproblem.apple.com -
When I try to play music downloaded from itunes on my iPhone 4S it says 'this URL is not found on the server'. This does not happen when I play the same music on my iPad. The music plays fine. The message also comes up when I try and login to iTunes on my iMac. Can anyone help?

Every webserver that receives a request from your browser is able to determine the HTTP USER AGENT information unless it has been removed by some software (e.g. firewall) before the request was trasmitted. -
Can't delete music that was downloaded from itunes wirelessly.
If I download music from itunes app, it seems to be permanent. I have tried syncing with "manual" and "only checked music" options (and without) and I simply cannot delete those songs on my phone. Anything that I've ripped from CD or downloaded from iTunes to my laptop are removable via syncing.

Message was edited by: SabicasOk, I figured it out, sort of. I mentioned that I had "sync only checked songs" and "manually manage" both checked. I went to the iTunes music tab and the "Sync Music" checbox was unchecked. I checked it again, which of course unchecks "manually manage". I told it NOT to transfer purchased items and synced. the songs are finally deleted but I have to say this iTunes is not as intuitive as it should be. I still don't get what I just did. Trial and error.........
