Can't play certain album

Hi there, I can't seem to play the below album (the artist's latest), although the rest of their catalog seems to be fine. Metric - Synthetica (2012): https://open.spotify.com/album/2xbkLrXys1oVlp5fgTgwSJ They just released a new single on Spotify, which I guess might have something to do with it. It fails both in the desktop player and in the web app. I'm located in Canada if that also has something to do with it. Kinda weird?Hannele

I can't play certain videos from the internet on my macbook.
When using Sarfari or Google Chome, I am unable to play some videos on the internet. News clips, posted videos on blogs, and tv episodes from their own network websites. Youtube videos are fine. I doesn't make sense.
I tried downloading an update for quicktime, but the computer claims that quicktime is up to date. Yet, the videos and tv episodes don't play.
I have checked for the most recent software updates, and everything is up to date. Nothing is wrong with the hardware either.
Any suggestions would be awesome! Thank you!

In addition to Flash, you might need some other plugins. Microsoft videos are mostly in Silverlight, and you'll want Flip4Mac to play WMVs. Perian contains codecs for pretty much every video online.

Why does Quicktime tell me it can't play certain videos created with my Phantom 2 v3 drone ? I fly the drone and switch back and forth from video to still pics and while I may have filmed four videos , sometimes Quicktime tells me that one of them can't be played . Checking the info shows that each of the unplayed videos was saved in the same mp4 format as the playable ones yet some of my most important videos won't play . It's getting very frustrating .

first; I use Perian, that helps even though it is no longer supported, (must have for avi files)
the apple-cores at apple have gotten very sloppy -- quicktime is a bit finicky and flakey.
example,   occasionally (when copy file from quad's card to hard drive) the avi will show up as a 'mov' file and qt plays it no problem and no conversion.
but that is very occasionally, most of the time qt won't convert the file,   -- iMovie won't open an avi without Perian installed , I don't know how that effects qt.
qt 7"pro" is no good either, (qt 10 does everything it does and for NOT the extra $35)
I have gone to VLC and MPlayerX for direct playback for drones and cameras.

Can't add certain albums to my wishlist

Using itunes on iOS 7.1.2 I find that I can't add certain albums to my wishlist (on iPhone 5s, iPad 2 & MacBook Pro) this so far has happened with seven or eight different albums and I don't know why. Using my iPhone I asked a friend (with same phone - 5s) to check the albums to see if he could add them to his wishlist and it worked fine for him.
Does anyone else find that certain albums can't be added to wishlist? When I press the button that normally brings up that option I only get options to either copy link or gift album.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

I had this problem yesterday (or a very similar problem). When you click on your purchased song, an old email address (Apple Account ID) pops up and asks for an old password to authorize permission. It is very stubborn and does not really co-operate when using the usual remedies (forgot password - send me an email - what is your birthday, etc). I fumbled around and eventually got it all straightened out. I can tell you what I did - I cannot tell you what exactly worked. Access your current Apple Itunes account. Deauthorize all computers (up to 4 or 5 in total, I forget...) that can play your purchased music. Update your password. Close your account and Itunes. Open Itunes and try your new password. Now try the "old" music that would not play before - your "old" email/Account ID should still pop-up asking for a password. Delete the old email/ID and put in your current one. Then use your new password to activate. This should solve the problem of old ID / old Password / no permission. My apologies for the imprecise method, again I am not sure exactly WHAT worked here - all I know is that the Itunes Help sections and tutorials were good - but of no use in this case.

I had to delete albums and rip the cds again then I was able to transfer to my iPod touch.

Make sure that yo have the boxed chanced to only sync the checked music. It appears that it is trying to sync ore than those.
You can try unsycing all music and resyncing.

Bill, you ignorant moron. Turn off the ultra secret hidden shuffle diabolically placed behind the album cover. Just tap the album cover to expose the sinister little shuffle icon on the right. Is it blue? Well, tap it until it is no longer blue! Also, make sure you are in your playlist and not the genius playlist.

Can't play purchased album because itunes says my computer is not authorized, but it is?

purchased an album yesterday and can only play 3 tracks off of it. the others, i am prompted to log in before playing them, saying my computer is not authorized to play the file. then, when i log in, i am told this computer is already authorized. so i go try to play the track and i am prompted to log in because my computer is not authorized...
talk about a headache!
running windows 7, itunes 10.
i've disabled windows firewall and all antivirus software.
only have one pc and only have one itunes account.

When trying to play an album, if the album was ripped, either the first song only plays or nothing plays. iTunes purchased albums seem to be OK.
Any ideas how I can fix this?

Can't play whole album!

Hi,
Most albums on my iPod play in sequence, i.e. I choose the first track of an album and it continues to play the whole album track by track.
Some albums however only play the track I selected then goes back to the main menu when this has finished. Whatever track I choose the displays reads '1 0f 1' and i can't play thw whole album in sequence.
Any ideas why?

Can't play certain songs.

I can't play four specific songs. I added them maybe about a week or so ago. They've played fine everyday since then but today when clicking on them, they don't do anything.
-The song's progress bar doesn't appear.
-No sound is played.
-There is no red exclamation mark .
-Changing from a song that plays correctly to one of these songs displays the above symptoms.
-The songs are in the iTunes library folder in the correct place.
-All songs are from the same album.
Any other questions just ask, and thanks in advance for any help you have to offer.

Hi Jason and thanks for offering to help. I did read all of the threads in the Community about this issue, before I posted and did a clean reinstall and also turned off local files, but nothing worked. As I was disappointed, I didn't log in for a couple of days, hence my late reply to you, but I've just had a quick play of a few songs in Spotify and it's now working!! Fingers crossed it stays that way. So I'm not sure why or how, but it all seems to be perfectly fine now. Thanks again for the offer of help. EnchantedMuse :-)

Can't play certain songs in Front Row: iTunes

I've just upgraded to iTunes 7.01, on Mac OS X 10.4.8, with Front Row 1.3.
When I try to play some songs through Front Row, I get a message saying "The Selected Song is not autorised to play on this computer" However the tracks play fine in the standard iTunes view, library and playlists.
It is not music I purcahsed from the iTunes store, it is music ripped from CD on an older machine and copied over to my new Macbook.
Anyone know if this is bug? and or how to solve it?

I am having a worse problem. Since upgrading to ITunes 7, I can't play some of the album I ripped from my CDs. I always use unprotected mp3. I have had to re-rip some of them, but I really don't have the time and patience to go through 500 plus albums. Any solutions out there?

How can I play all albums of a same genre in shuffle mode?

Since I upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOs 7, I can't play all my albums of a same genre in shuffle mode like I used to do with iOs 6.

The Touch will only play Albums in the correct track order when you select an album, but then it will only play that one album.
If you want to play multiple Albums in their correct track order, your options are to either:
1- Make a playlist in iTunes that is sorted by Album (or Album by Artist), sync the playlist to the Touch, and play the playlist with Shuffle turned OFF, or
2- Make an On The Go playlist on the Touch by adding one Album at a time and play it with Shuffle turned OFF, or
3- Look for the free app called "Album Mixer" which gives you the "Album Shuffle" capability found on other iPods -- i.e. the playback is by Album in normal track order, then when the Album completes it will jump to track #1 of a randomly-selected Album and play that one in track order.

Since the iPod is only a week old, I would consider returning it to Apple or wherever you purchased it from and showing them what is happening. If they decide that the unit is faulty, they'll swap it out for you at no cost.
