Can't Play HDCP Content on New Macbook Pro

I have purchased a season pass of The Walking Dead Season 2, and the last two episodes (9 & 10) will not play on my computer because of an error that says "not an authorized HDCP display."
I have a new 15" macbook pro with the following spec's:
Mac OS X 10.7.3
Procesor: 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 8 GB
iTunes is up to date at 10.5.3
I am not trying to play this on an external monitor. I am just trying to play it on my Macbook. Help? I am even willing to play it in SD, but I don't see an option for versions, as it seems there used to be.

i rebooted the firewall and it worked.

There are a number of developers who have chosen for various reasons not to offer their software through the Mac App Store, so don't assume that if an application is not in the App Store that the application is not available. It may well be available directly from the developer or some other download site. MacUpdate is a good resource for looking for applications:

  • Can't Connect Via Ethernet on new MacBook Pro

    Hello,
I'm running into a frustrating problem and hoping someone can help.
I have a new MacBook Pro that won't connect via Ethernet. My old computer (Powerbook G4) with the same settings works flawlessly.
Details: under Network Settings I have Automatic/Using DHCP. When I click on Assist Me>Diagnostics, I get green lights all the way down (Built-In Ethernet, Network Settings, ISP, Internet, Server). The Diagnostics tool therefore proudly announces that my Internet connection is working correctly.
When I open Safari, however, it won't open any page. Using Ping I also get no responses.
When I plug the exact same ethernet cable into my Powerbook G4, everything works flawlessly. The only difference is that the IP address ends in .25 instead of .30 (I assume that's from the router assigning different IP addresses to the two computers.)
On another forum i read about someone having a problem with a long/lossy ethernet cable, but I just took my computer to the router and tried with a 2-foot ethernet cable. Same situation.
    Help!
    Thanks

i rebooted the firewall and it worked.

  • Can you put windows on a new macbook pro

can you  put windows on a new macbook pro ? yes or no, which notebook can i put windows on if not the macbook pro?

WIndows 7 is the only Windows OS supported by the new Macs.
You usually use Boot Camp Assistant to partition the drive and install the Windows product on the Mac.
This creates a system where you boot into Mac OSX OR Windows.
    see more at http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/
There are programs such as Parallels or VMWare Fusion that can create a Virtual Machine within Mac OSX - giving you access to both Operating Systems at once. You may get slight performance issues as you would be essentially running two Operating Systems at once.

  • Can I play PS3 games on my MacBook Pro?

Can I play PS3 games on my MacBook Pro? I want to run PS3 games on a MBP. I have Medal of Honor and  that's the only game I like on the PS3. And does anyone know any good shooting games like shadowgun deadzone. Something offline and that's pretty fun. Someone help me pls.

The XBox uses three PowerPC processors that run very very hot and need constant power and Mac's use Intel processors that run very cool in comparison.
It would take a complete rewrite of the entire games code to make it work on a Mac.
So in short, it can't be done. Sorry.
But I'll clue you 2 free 3D games you can run on your MacBook Pro
Cube 2 Suaerbraten and Nexiuz Classic.  That should help get you by.

  • Migrated iPhoto content to new MacBook Pro,  but can't get '11

    Hi there,
I migrated my iPhoto content from my old laptop to my new one, the new one has OSX 10.6.7, but somehow I seem to have migrated iPhoto v8.1.2 also. iPhoto '11 should be part of 10.6.7, right? iPhoto '11 cannot be found on my new computer, did one cancel the other?
My hubby did exactly the same thing, migrated his old iPhoto content to his new MacBook Pro and he has iPhoto '11. I have tried to download it but it seems that it's too big to download, it requires a physical disc. My computer came with the software already loaded.
If anyone can give me any pointers on how to fix this I'd be so grateful.
    Thanks,

How did you migrate the iPhoto content?
As to iPhoto version - iPhoto does not come with any OS - it comes on new computers and can be purchased as part of iLife or in the App store
reinstall iPhoto - go to your receipts folder ("Your hard drive" ==> library ==> receipts) and remove any iPhoto receipts and reinstall from the restore disks that came with your computer - do a custom install of bundled software only
For more information click here for the MacWorld article on reinstalling OS X applications.

  • HT4007 How can I get Aperture onto my new Macbook Pro 15" Retina that DOESN'T have a superdrive from my 5 year old Macbook Pro?  I still have the CD and serial number for Aperture. HELP! PLEASE!!

Like the thread topic says. I need help getting Aperture onto my new macbook pro that does not have a drive. I have no need for a drive after this to be honest just need my programs back on it. Thanks.

    Two options:
Make a disk image or a clone of the installer CD on your Mac that has a super drive - you can create a disk image using Disk Utility or use Carbon Copy Cloner (if you have it) to clone the DVD to a thumbsdrive. Then run the installer on your MBY from this copy.
Or download the Trial Installer and install from there:
    Download the Aperture 3.1 Trial.  http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net/content.info.apple.com/Aperture/061-8328 .20101020.AprE3/ApertureTrial3.1.dmg
Open the Aperture Trial disc image.
    Double-click the "Aperture Trial.mpkg" file.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install Aperture.
After the installation completes, choose Software Update from the Apple () menu.
Install the Aperture 3.4 update from the list of available updates.
    Regards

  • Can i play The sims 4 on macbook pro 13 inch

i'm going to buy a new macbook 13 inch with retina display, and i really want to know can i play this game on macbook? and how about the new macbook? can it play the sims4?

    Mik3OH,
if the fans go like crazy, it’s because of the heat that results from running compute-intensive software. The fans activate to expel the heat from within your MacBook Pro, so that your electronic components don’t get cooked. If you want to run demanding software, then you absolutely do not want to prevent your fans from running — unless frying your MacBook Pro is your goal. You’ll also want to make sure that when you run such software, that nothing blocks the airflow into and out of the MacBook Pro — so play such games with your MacBook Pro on a hard flat surface, rather than on a soft cushioned surface.

  • Can i play Diablo III in a macbook pro 13 pol.: 2,9 GHz ?

I want to buy a new macbook pro 13 pol.: 2,9 GHz
I can play Diablo III in full definition with this macbook pro??
Intel Core i7 dual core, 2,9GHz
    Turbo Boost até 3,6GHz
    8GB e 1600MHz
    750GB, 5400 rpm1
    Intel HD 4000
    Thank you!

the intel hd 4000 graphics card will not be able to run it on max.
This graph stats a Radeon HD 6670 DDr3 is need to get ~50fps which is good on the game.
The Radeon HD 6670 DDR3 is about double the power of the HD intel 4000 according to this graph.

  • Ages old question: transfer all disk content to new MacBook Pro

Dear all. I know this question has been asked zillion times before but the answers confuse me. I have a new MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard (not Lion yet) and want to transfer all contents of my white MacBook 2008 (No FireWire !!) to the new one. I have a wireless network. Should I make a fresh backup with Time Machine to a external disk and then connect the new MacBook to that or would it be better to do it with Migration Assistant over my wireless network. In the last case, how long would 300 GB content take ? Thanks so much !

Some argue Migration Assistant from TM works but creates more headaches. This you can run after you've already set up a new machine.
Some argue that Setup Assistant from TM is better than MA above, that what occurs when you start the machine (or run OSX) for the first time.
You can also T boot the old Mac with a Firewire cable and transfer that way as well in either of the above cases or manually. I haven't tried with MA/SA yet, just manually.
Some people prefer to not have everything transferred over and then have to pick through and toss the old garbage afterwards possibly making their machines slow. As MA and SA have no brains, it's a blind copy. Some have privacy issues and don't want old application cache files tagging along for the ride.
I'm one of those that a new machine gets all fresh copies of current software and then picks out just the gems from another drive.
One is going to perform work either removing stuff and missing things and having a slowdown possibility, or one works to installs all fresh copies and keeps their machine from possibly slowing down.
So that's it. It's debatable and up to you which way you want to go about it.
The SA/MA route can bring over old programs that still run, so you don't have to need a paid upgrade.
But I figure if one is dropping several thousand on a new box, what's a few hundred more for current versions of software so there is no issues?
Guess it depends what is on the MacBook and how out of shape it is. Likely a pristine machine with little or no system level hooks or other garbage involved will MA/SA just fine. Garbage in = Garbage out.

  • How can I get 2tb in a new macbook pro

I want to get a new macbook pro but I would need it to have 2TB of storage since I do music production and I have tons of software and sounds/samples I need in my laptop. Can I make a new macbook pro have 2TB or would I need like a 17in macbook pro which I would have to find a used one

all 4 platter 2TB  2.5" HD are  15.2mm THICK. theres utterly NO WAY a single HD will fit in any macbook like that.
only option is a 1TB in the internal bay, and removal of the superdrive DVD/CD player and installing a secondary 1TB HD in the "optibay"
See OWC for the optibay option.
    http://www.mcetech.com/optibay/
2.5" hard drive thickness and capacity
    7mm = 500gig
    9.5mm = 500gig up to 1TB
    12.5mm = 1.5TB
    15.2mm = 2TB
    (however there are new HD just out that are 5mm = 500gig and 7mm = 1TB  and 9.5mm = 1.5TB)
You have the POTENTIAL of 3TB in your macbook between 2 HD, however those drives are western digital, which I and most here wouldnt recommend. Also they just came out, and their reliability is UNKNOWN.
