Can't Play Music CD

When I insert a music CD, it will not play and ejects the CD. On system preferences, I choose the option to open iTunes when a music CD is inserted, but it changes itself to "ignore".. In iTunes, on my preferences, I selected to begin playing when a music CD is inserted and the CD will not play and it keeps getting ejected..Any ideas??

For sound, try the audio output port and connecting to the RCA audio input ports on your Pioneer receiver. Use something like this:

My iPhone 5 can't play music. The songs which convert by iTunes are not ok but the songs download from iTunes Store can be played.
I am using iPhone 5. iOS 8.0.2(12A405)

Try the restore option, The music and other apps you have purchased will redownload to you're device.

Yes, any audio during the "mirroring" funtion will forward to the appletv. This includes all system audio, games, apps, ect. If you slide the mute botton the side of your ipad to mute then you can block app audio and just get Music audio or Pandora if you are using pandora.

I just installed the latest Apple TV software update today. I can still play music from my iPhone 4 to th eATV but purchased movies don't seem to start playing now - or else the buffering time is huge compared with the previous software version. Any fix

I installed the latest software update on our Apple TV - this allows us to access VIMEO. However, although we can still play music from an iPhone 4 we can no longer play purchased tv shows - unless the buffering process has been extended to be glacially slow! It just shows it is loading but under the previous software release a show would start in a minute or two, nothing is happening afer 4 or 5 minutes with this one.

Yes, AUX in jack. Radio shack may be required to make sure your connectors are compatible. For example, you may need a standard RCA splitter to mini-RCA. The mini-RCA (3.5mm) is for the airport express while the dual (red-black) for your AUX in. Hard to say without seeing the connectors.
Itunes on Mac sends music to airport express (you select it in iTunes), the airport express sends the music out via the mini-RCA, your CD player auxillary input converts the RCA signal to sound.

Recently can't play music samples on Amazon France (and Germany, though they've now gone over to Flash, which seems to have fixed it after (re)installing Flash Player) via their usual 'Listen to all' button. Can only play samples individually. Message says roughly RealPlayer not installed on my navigator (see box below), but I've changed nothing and have always had RealPlayer on my PC at least. The 'Aid' page is useless in that it does not provide any links to sites from which one could download whatever it is Amazon Fr thinks one now needs.

It has been reported by other uses that RealPlayer is having some compatibility problems with Firefox. I believe this is mostly notorious with RealPlayer Plugin Record Plugin, but it may be the same thing here. Please contact RealPlayer developers for support.

I just bought an iPhone 4S. I set it up, restored backup and synced it (used to own a 3GS) everything is fine but for some reason I can't play music from it. It says Now Playing and there's a little icon in the corner but its not playing. Even the little bar at the top that has that little dot that moves along when a song is played isn't even moving. I know I have sound because I've played videos for my little guy and I've previewed songs from iTunes. Could I have done something wrong when I was syncing? Thanks!

Can't play music that I have bought

I dont have the same username on my mac in OS X. Which leads to problem to deauthorize my itunes account. I can’t play music that I buy, and free movies doesn’t work either. I know this is the problem, cause I have tried to reformat using my old account name in OS X, which led to no problems in iTunes. I don’t want to use my old account name (OS X).

My old username in OS X----->karasjok
My present username in OS X----->Stian
iTunes account is not the same username as in OS X, I am aware of that. Problem is that I can’t play music bought from iTunes, neither can I deauthorize my iTunes account.
But if I reformat my OS X, use my old username, all of my music bought from iTunes plays well.

Can't play music in Sonata 2011 after ios6

I have an iPhone 4 (not 4s) and after upgrading to ios6, I can't play music in my Hyundai Sonata. As always, I connect my phone to the Sonata using the manufacturers supplied cable. The car will begin to read it, but will eventually just stop reading and revert to whatever media was playing before or to the radio. The iPhone is left in an odd state where the Music app will just cycle through my albums until I shut the unit down and restart it. I tried using an Apple iPhone USB cable, but that generates a "Connection Error" right away. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a solution?

Sorry to take so long to reply, but I figured out the problem. Apparently, if you select a song to play on the iPhone, and the song is not available, the Music app will cycle through your music, until it finds a song that is actually on the iPhone. I believe this is a change with iOS6. Its my wife's car and I don't drive it that often, so there was a lag between installing iOS6, clearing space on the device and actually trying to use it in the car. Now to be clear, not all of my music was missing, just most of them and while troubleshooting the problem I actually played a couple of songs on the device to make sure nothing was wrong with the iPhone. As luck would have it, I selected two of the songs that were still on the device, so I neglected to consider my space clearing. I google'd my question and after much filtering, found the answer.
Apple should fix this such that at least one of two things happen in this situation:
1) The iPhone tells you that the song is not on the device.
2) The iPhone does not list songs, playlists, artists, etc. that are not actually there.
Although both of these fall into the 'duh' category, the second one makes the most sense as I would have seen right away that my music was gone.

If you want to move your itunes library to the TC we recommend you don't.. the TC is designed as a backup target for Time Machine.. it might appear vaguely like a NAS but it has zero ability to backup files.. and fails with surprising frequency. and is slow.. and what happens when you corrupt your itunes library.
If you just want to put individual files and play from there.. well neither is it a media player. Basically TC fails at anything and everything except being a TM backup target.
