Can't play whole album!

Hi,
Most albums on my iPod play in sequence, i.e. I choose the first track of an album and it continues to play the whole album track by track.
Some albums however only play the track I selected then goes back to the main menu when this has finished. Whatever track I choose the displays reads '1 0f 1' and i can't play thw whole album in sequence.
Any ideas why?

Does anyone know how i can get my itunes library to play a whole album? I just want to sit here and listen to an album in my library I click on one song and once its played it randomly jumps somewhere else in the library this is so annoying it never used to do this.

Check the bottom left of the screen. If the little symbol with the two arrows crossing paths is blue, click it. That is the shuffle icon, your library must be set to shuffle.

Bill, you ignorant moron. Turn off the ultra secret hidden shuffle diabolically placed behind the album cover. Just tap the album cover to expose the sinister little shuffle icon on the right. Is it blue? Well, tap it until it is no longer blue! Also, make sure you are in your playlist and not the genius playlist.

Can't play purchased album because itunes says my computer is not authorized, but it is?

purchased an album yesterday and can only play 3 tracks off of it. the others, i am prompted to log in before playing them, saying my computer is not authorized to play the file. then, when i log in, i am told this computer is already authorized. so i go try to play the track and i am prompted to log in because my computer is not authorized...
talk about a headache!
running windows 7, itunes 10.
i've disabled windows firewall and all antivirus software.
only have one pc and only have one itunes account.

ITunes - Playing Whole Album

I want to play a whole album in iTunes but no matter how I try to configure things, it plays one song at a time and then stops; at which time I have to click on the next cut.
How do you play a whole album continuously from the first to the last track?

When trying to play an album, if the album was ripped, either the first song only plays or nothing plays. iTunes purchased albums seem to be OK.
Any ideas how I can fix this?

How can I play all albums of a same genre in shuffle mode?

Since I upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOs 7, I can't play all my albums of a same genre in shuffle mode like I used to do with iOs 6.

The Touch will only play Albums in the correct track order when you select an album, but then it will only play that one album.
If you want to play multiple Albums in their correct track order, your options are to either:
1- Make a playlist in iTunes that is sorted by Album (or Album by Artist), sync the playlist to the Touch, and play the playlist with Shuffle turned OFF, or
2- Make an On The Go playlist on the Touch by adding one Album at a time and play it with Shuffle turned OFF, or
3- Look for the free app called "Album Mixer" which gives you the "Album Shuffle" capability found on other iPods -- i.e. the playback is by Album in normal track order, then when the Album completes it will jump to track #1 of a randomly-selected Album and play that one in track order.

Can not move whole album to playlist

when i try to move a whole album to a playlist with the album highlited and drop it on playlist then go to burn a cd i only get the song that was listed under the album line that i moved how do i get whole album i'm following proper drop and drag outline in ipod & itunes for dummies thanks

Are all of the songs selected before you start to drag, or is only one song selected. They all have to be selected (highlighted in blue)
Hold down the command key as you click on each song in the album.

How can I play multiple albums from same artist in album order on iPhone 4?

Just purchased an iPhone 4 from Verizon. When I select an Artist and then choose "All Songs", the only choice I am provided is to play the songs in alphabetic order. I would prefer to play them in the original album order. Is there a setting that can be changed to accomplish this?

Can't play certain album

Hi there, I can't seem to play the below album (the artist's latest), although the rest of their catalog seems to be fine. Can't play any albums in iTunes 11

Since updating to iTunes 11, I can no longer select an album and play the entire album. And all the songs listed on albums are grayed out, unless they have been used in a recent playlist.

I think this may be a clue to the problem. When you purchased the MBA did you restore any of your personal data from a prior backup? In particular, did you restore any prior data in the Music folder?

Can't play full albums in one genre with shuffle turned on

The problem: All of the albums in the Comedy genre will not play in full regardless of how I select them (artist, title, etc) when any mode of shuffle is turned on. I can select individual tracks and play them, but it will only play that one track (1 of 1) though there are more tracks on the album. If any other song was previously playing when I try to play one of these albums, I get the usual pause symbol first, but then pressing play again makes the pause symbol disappear and nothing plays. When I turn shuffle off, everything works fine, and I can even re-enable shuffle after I have started one of these albums and it still shuffles fine.
I restored software once and the problem went away, briefly, but has returned.

I encountered the same problem some time back...exactly like you. I had set certain Genres to skip when shuffling because I didn't want them to shuffle with the main library. I took skip off just about everything and now have a big master playlist that I shuffle instead of doing Shuffle Songs from the main menu.

Is there a way to play whole albums in random order?

If you change it the shuffle setting to Albums and you make make these selections: Artists > All > All, then press the Play button, iPod will choose an album at random and play it in its entirety. iPod will then shuffle to another album and play it in its entirety. Albums are not repeated until iPod has played through the entire list.

Can i transfer whole albums to playlist for synching to iPad

I have many classical music CDs that I have loaded to iTunes. I want to move them to iPad. I have worked out how to create a playlist and sycn it (not easy!) but its very long wonded to trasnfer 30 separate tracks for one opera and to keep them together in iTunes and then in iPad. Any suggestions?7

You can transfer the apps while connected to the Mac and iTunes running by going from the iTunes menu at the top of the screen File>Transfer Purchases. This will put all of the apps into the iTunes library on the new computer.

You can also backup your entire iTunes library and restore it to the new computer which is the ideal way to do this. It is covered in the article above.
There are third party apps that allow you to transfer all of your iPad content to a new computer and itunes library as well.
