Can't play WMA files transfer by BlackBerry Desktop

I'm sure I am not the first - but some of my music albums CD's will not play on my BB Torch.
Some singer play just fine, but when I try to play others I get this message.
"the media 01 ***** being played is of an unsupported format".
And it goes through the entire album saying the same thing for each song. The file type is WMA
I erased them and reload them 4 times and still have the same problem.
Is there something else to do?

this does not solve my problem, or at least i do not understand it. Because when i wanna transfer the file onto my ipad..... i do have a lot of backgroud noise due to the conversion and therefore the file is useless.
is there any application whixh i could download? (app store ... and then how do i have to do?)

Can iPod play WAV files

I have the All Music Converter and have converted some of my iPod music files to WAV. However, I can't get iTunes to accept the files. Can iPod play WAV files? Does anyone know how to get them to transfer into iTunes? Thank you.

Uncompressed WAV files are on the list of compatible formats, has there been any compression applied to the files you have converted?

Play wma files in director???

Hi
Is it possible to play wma-files in director?
I try to do it through
sound(1).playfile(the moviePath&"10.wma")
but the file is not played (sound(1).status is 0)
When I play mp3
sound(1).playfile(the moviePath&"10.mp3")
everything is all right
Both files are present on HD
Can anyone help me with this?
I have Win XP, Direct X8.1 installed

I have the latest version of flip 4 mac and the Quicktime 7.4.1. Why can't any of these programs play WMA files?

What is the codec of the WMA?

My quicktime can't play avi file

you just followed the wrong road try this one instead and you will love it.
*1st of all*: Dont pay attention to QuickTime, no matter what movie you want to view
just download and install VLC Media Player and your worries about formats, video codecs, audio codecs, multi zone dvd reproduction will be over in a sec!
just "open as" > VLC Media Player and you will see everything and if you have a subtitle file, just drag it into the movie

I received an iTune audio file by email but I can't play the file nor import the file into the library. If I click on the file it opens iTunes but nothing else happens. Any suggestions?

Did you bounce at 44.1kHz, 16 bit? AIFF or AAC or MP3 should be fine for iTunes, but sample rate and bit depth is important.

Please provide the exact steps you are conducting, on both devices, in the exact order you are making the attempt. Also, are both devices BBs? Further, please provide the exact OS level (all 4 octets please) of the BB's that are involved in the attempt.

I updated my computer and now I can't play mov files from anywhere - won't play in FCP 7, Quicktime. Not sure what updates they were specifically since i hit the "update All" button without going over each one. Please help!! operating on 10.6.8 with FCP7

Just take a look at the last few days posts here and you'll see many people with the same problem and some possible solutions.
But you should never do any software updates unless you have a bootable backup of your startup drive. FCP7 is no longer being supported by apple and updating anything is fraught with dangers.

Can't play .mov files in Xine

I am pretty new to Arch but it is great so far. I am running vanilla KDE4 with Xine as the Phonon backend. One problem I'm having is that I can't play .mov files. Other stuff like .wmv and .avi play ok. I also have the codecs package installed.
For example, no luck with this file

Welcome to the forums DeKay.
This isn't going to help, but I can confirm this using Xine 1.2 (dev) and almost a pure FFmpeg backend. ffplay and Mplayer can both play this file properly, so it's without a doubt a Xine problem. I ran a gdb trace on it and didn't really get anything to report upstream either.

HT3775 can't play wmv file on quicktime?

I can't play .wmv files on quicktime. I installed both QuickTime MPEG2 and Flip4Mac WMV hoping that this would solve the problem but it did not. When trying to play any audio .wmv file I get an error box stating "the document (filename).wmv could not be opened. The movie is not in a format the QuickTime Player understands. You may need to install additional software to open this type of file". Anyone know what I might need here?

Hmm, Perian should provide flv playback in Quicktime. Maybe you need to update Perian? I used to always use Perian but since upgrading to Lion I have not installed it and now rely on VLC for non-apple standard media playback. Deluxe can handle the flv-format.It will convert flv to mov. Hope it helps
