Can't pose a question becasue FF says cookies must be active. System search shows they already are

Have been unable to pose a lrger question because after composisng it, I am unable to send it. Instead I receive a message stating I have to accept cookies. I have followed the directions for sertting that option, but bottom line is that when I search my system, it shows that my Mac does allow FF cookies. I am unable to change that.
My larger question is that FF is not functioning properly and has gone frombad to worse. an't scroll or advance pages without cleraing history aftr every click. Have already ugpraded to 3.6.12, but that just intensified the existing problems.

Thanks for your input, but it looks like I did not state my problem clearly.
In removing recent history, I did clear the cache and cookies . . . more times than I can count. (After every keystroke, to be exact; it was the only way I could get things moving!))
Before downloading the upgrade, I also started to remove old FF files, but after searching for directions, discovered, it is not necessary to remove them (. . . I'm guessing because they probably are overwritten during installation of the upgrade) . . . so stopped searching for those files.
I also had given up almost all hope of ever posting my problem on this site; but gave it one last try this morning. . . . And — Voila!!! Here I am. So it looks like the cookie issue may have resolved itself. But it also may be too soon to tell; however if it still exists, probably will show up again soon enough.
But meanwhile, that potentially still leaves my original problem re: the entire system slowing down when it is in use, accompanied by warnings of slow script . . . which I have no idea of how to correct. So I am open to suggestions on that.
Closing FF the last time must have erased all the warnings in the error console. Sorry, I don't remember the exact wording, but do recall that the screen was filled from top to bottom with references to "line 1 " usually referring to a specific type of information not being found . . . also some sort of "parsing problem" occasionally . . .and other similar text.

Are you launching Numbers from an icon in your Dock? Installing the update does not change the Dock icons & it does not remove the older versions. Go to your Applications folder & launch the new Numbers from there then right-click on the Dock icon & select Options > Keep in Dock.
Installing new versions of iWork has never replaced existing versions. This is nothing new. The only thing new is that the '09 apps are moved to an iWork '09 folder if they were purchased from the Mac App Store. If they were installed from disk they should already be in a separate folder in Applications.

Call AppleCare and give them the model and serial number and find out what cell carrier the iPhone is locked with. Then call that cell carrier and see if it is possible for the owner to get it officially unlocked (not probable if it is Lithuanian iPhone).

ESPN will not let me log in. When accessing the log on page, it provides a red-text message saying cookies must be enabled to log in.

I have cleared cookies as well as attempted to log on in FF's Safe Mode and still get the same issues. Issue does not exist in IE.

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple - I've asked the hosts to remove your email address from your post (it's not a good idea to post personal info on any public forum).
The reset link on an account will only show if there is a rescue email address on it, alternate email addresses are different and not used for resetting them. If she has a rescue email address on her account then steps 1 to 5 half-way down this page will give you a reset link on the account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
Navigate to appleid.apple.com using your web browser.
Click "Manage your account"
When prompted, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
Click Password & Security
You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions.
If she doesn't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use steps 1 to 7 half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use

Some of my tunes are assigned to a former email address and I can't remember the password. The security questions won't let me pass my date of birth, which they say is incorrect! I think I know my DOB. What can I do to remedy this

My laptop now has a different email address so there are certain tunes that won't play as hey are assigned to the old address. Sounds like you follow good practices.
This has been going around for some time in various forms, a number of users have asked about it and the best advice is if in doubt go doirectly to Apple, not links in the email. Calling Apple or using the Apple site is always the best approach.
A few have even noticed very slight misspellings in the emails, things like Appel instead of Apple...most people don't even notice those.

How to reset your Apple ID security questions.
Go to appleid.apple.com, click on the blue button that says 'Manage Your Apple ID'.
Log in with your Apple ID and password. (If you have forgotten your Apple ID password, go to iforgot.apple.com first to reset your password with a password recovery email)
Go to the Password & Security section on the left side, and click on the link underneath the security questions that says 'Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to [email]'. This will generate an automated e-mail that will allow you to reset your security questions.
If that doesn't work, or there is no rescue email link available, then click on 'Temporary Support PIN' that is in the bottom left side, and generate a 4-digit PIN for the Apple Account Security Advisor you will be contacting later.
Next, go to https://getsupport.apple.com
(If you see a message that says 'There are no products registered to this Apple ID, simply click on 'See all products and services')
Choose 'More Products & Services', then 'Apple ID'.

Have you tried logging out and back into your account on the iPad and seeing if they are then recognised ?
If that doesn't work, then try going here and click on 'Manage My Account' and sign in to your account. Then on the left-hand side select the 'Password and Security' section and see if you can update your questions/answers.
If you can't change them there, then underneath the security questions is there a link to have a 'reset email' sent to your Rescue email address ? If there is then click on it.
