Can't post photos on Facebook from iPad since upgrading to ios8
Since upgrading to ios8 I can no longer post photos on Facebook from existing photos on my iPad 2. Is this a problem connected to the upgrade or something else? Also, since the upgrade my keyboard sometimes freezes up and I have to refresh the page and start over and lose whatever I had been working on. Also an ios8 issue?

I hate to sound obnoxious, and I really do appreciate your efforts to help me. The link actually is not what Facebook normally does. Yes, the thumbnail goes to your FB profile. But if you had pasted almost any other link in the link publisher, you'd get a second thumbnail and a L/R arrow that allows you to scroll through the graphics posted on the linked site and pick one to serve as a thumbnail from your website. Then, had you linked to a page with a long and cumbersome address, you'd have seen the link "cleaned up" aesthetically so that you would not see 4 lines of URL, but a tidy site title and abbreviated link. That's what I'm missing, and scrolling down that iWeb interest page on Facebook shows a lot of others with the same issue.
But as I said, earlier, I really have about stopped caring and am planning to take Ethmoid's advice and can iWeb altogether and look to some other arrangement for managing my site, though I find it ironic that I was urged to dump iWeb by people on the Apple discussion board!

There are now well over 400,000 3rd party apps available via the iTunes app store. All should work on the iPad but all are not optimized for the iPad - written for the iPhone and optimized for a smaller screen but will work on the iPad.

Sharing your images to Facebook
If you have an iPad or iPhone Click, then first login to facebook on your device. Then, launch Revel, navigate to an album and click on the icon. Select the images you wish to share and select "Send". Select the Facebook option. You will see a dialog box asking permission to access your account to upload pictures to your Facebook account. (if you were not already signed in to facebook you will need to sign into your account.
The images are uploaded to an album titled "Adobe Revel Photos"
If you are on a Mac, then you must select an individual photo and then click on the arrow to share the individual photo to facebook.
If you are not using the app on a Mac, iPad or iPhone, then you will need to upload the photos to facebook from your computer. If you do not have them stored on your computer, then you an download them from Revel and upload them to facebook.

When you sign in to Revel, it is possible to sign in using your Adobe id, or you can click on the Facebook or Google option and login there. (See image below). When you log in with Google or Facebook, even though it looks like Revel is asking for your password, it is actually a Google/Facebook webpage asking you. By design, for your security, Revel and Adobe never touch or store your Facebook/Google password.
It is possible to login to Revel using your Adobe Id, and then post to Facebook from your phone or ipad to a Facebook account that uses a different email account to login. You must already be logged in to Facebook on your device when you use Revel. Revel will ask permission to use your photos and post to your friends. The photo will be posted from the Revel account your are loogged into into the Facebook account you are logged into on the Facebook app on your iOS device.
IF YOU USE THE SAME EMAILS and want to match up the passwords:
If your emails are all the same, then you can reset all 3 accounts to have the same password if you desire.
If you logged into Revel for the first time with Google or Facebook but would rather login to Revel using your adobe id, and you use the same email for your Adobe ID, you can log out of Revel, log back in using your adobe id (which will fail since you have never used it) and then select reset password. You can change your Adobe ID password to match either your facebook or google one if you want (or make all 3 the same if you choose).
IF YOU USE DIFFERENT EMAILS and want to make them the same:
If you use different email accounts to login to Facebook, Google, and your Adobe ID and you want to post from Revel to Facebook or Google, one option is to make all of the login email addresses the same. You can either change your Facebook/Google email in their website to match your Adobe ID, or you can change your email associated with your Adobe ID in Adobe.com to match the email you use for Google/Facebook.

I feel your pain. You need better advice than this but maybe this will help keep the thread open. You probably have down everything on HT3085 maintenance but never hurts to do it again. You said once only AP was open and it crashed but check you loggin Daemons at startup. Try eliminating the ones you dont need and turn off Carbonite while trying. And of course try another Library and see if the problem exits. And use a new login account (thanks Leonie). Make sure your read/write permisions have not changed on the Drobo 5d and its in HFS+ formate. Your images (referenceed) can be on the Drobo directly connected to your imac but not the database of the Lib, it dosent like nas or ___. You say it happens only in AP when Repairing an image or it also happens outside of Aperture, that is AP is not open you still crash. Do you have another monitor attached to the imac when hangs occur. How much Ram and what percentage of empty HD space do you have. Stay positive, from what I hear most poeple run smoothly, so this too can be fixed. David -

1 - if you hate Photos very simple - do not use it - if is still in your applications folder
2 - you may need to update your system preferences ==> extensions ==> sharing to include Facebook and maybe other sharing places

This has been happening on and off for awhile but really annoying during the holidays! I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player (found as a suggestion on line). That didn't fix it but while in my Add-ons I saw Shockwave for Director. I thought it might be conflicting with Shockwave Flash so disabled it. This seemed to work as I posted several pictures. Came back to my computer a few hours later and now I can't post photos again.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]], choose History, and then "Clear Recent History...".
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the "Clear Now" button.

Make sure you have latest version of Facebook app.
You can also try uninstalling the Facebook app and restart. Then re install it back.

* Clear cache and cookies of facebook site
* Try safe mode [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]] to make sure it is not an add on.
* Check you antivirus
* Make sure flash is up to date and the older versions are removed. Version 14 is the most current and make sure it is enabled.

I have a new MacBook Pro 15" Retina with OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.3 (just did the combo update)
iPhoto 11 (9.4.3) is installed and freshly updated.
I used to share photos from iPhoto directly from my previous computer (a 2009 MacBook Pro running OSX Leopard).
It doesn't seem to work anymore on my new computer. When I try to connect to facebook, I keep having the same message :"An unknown error occurred, please try again later".
I am in China, where Facebook is blocked, but I have a VPN on (Astrill), simulating a connection from LA. I have no problem at all to access Facebook from Chrome, Safari and Skype.
I am sure that I am typing the right username and password.
I made sure iPhoto wasn't blocked in my facebook app settings.
I tried to delete the account, closing iPhoto and relaunching. It still does not work.
I tried to delete the com.apple.iphoto.plist from Library/Preferences (as suggested on another thread in this forum). It didn't do anything.
It is getting very frustrating and I really don't want to throw my new computer through the room. Anyone managed to solve this issue ?

How can you upload photos from iPhoto to FaceBook without having the sync where if you delete from iPhoto you delete
I think you have to have the files on your HD. So either put them in iPhoto or copy them to a folder in Finder, and from there you can upload to Facebook.

Why can't i email a document from pages since upgrading to yosemite
since upgrading to yosemite i cannot email a document from pages. the "send via email" won't highlight and nothing happens
The Send a Copy option is only in Pages v5.5.1 on Yosemite, and is accessible from the Share toolbar item on the document window. In your case, with Pages ’09 v4.3, as I mentioned, the Menu > Share > Send via Email items are inoperable with Yosemitie.
You workaround is to use the Menu > Share > Export > PDF… option, or the File > Export > PDF… option — and then drag/drop the PDF from disk onto your Mail message body after the content. Or, you can use the paper-clip icon in the Mail Compose toolbar to attach the PDF. The PDF will appear as a page in your email. Right-click (two-finger tap) on this image, and from the contextual menu — select icon view.
Yes, it subverts set behavior patterns. Apple isn't concerned with end-of-life application compatibility with future OS X versions. -
Problem posting photos to facebook from Organizer
I have always exported photos from Organizer and then posted those .jpg files on Facebook however, this has suddenly stopped working. I am still exporting the same way to a .jpg file but Facebook now tells me that it can't read the file. I have confirmed that the files are under 4mg and they look normal in Finder. Nothing has changed on my computer and I'm baffled as to why this has happened.
Please advise on how to fix this problem!

HollyThank you. I'm not sure how to capture a screen shot but the error is "Can't read Files. Your photos need to be less than 4MG and saved as JPG, PNG, GIF or TIFF files"
My file was exported as a .jpg and was 1.2 MB but I still got this error.
I tried your suggestion listed above and restarted but when trying again, got the same error.
I tried to export the file as a TIFF and it seems to work fine. This seems to have something to do with the process of exporting to JPG. I have been using the same workflow for a year and I'm not sure why it stopped working.
