Can't preview anything

trouble. I can't preview anything, photos, powerpoint slide designs. nothing. the finder shows the files (just icons) but i can't see any images. if i want to, i have to double click and open preview to see the photo. or in powerpoint i have to select the slide design to be able to see it and then close it and select the next one otherwise all i see is an icon (this is just to choose the slide design i want for my presentation) . help!

Actually, when i can't preview the slide is right at the start when i get to choose the slide design so there is no way to know what the slide looks like unless i select it and i apply it to the presentation i'm gonna start...

Would anyone have a clue why I can't preview nearly anything
in a browser? The only pages that work are the ones with simple
html and graphics. Yesterday my javascript pop up menus I'm using
in a template that I created in dreamweaver went crazy (and I don't
know how to fix javascript) so today I was researching alternative
methods for pop up menus and I'm working on a simple CSS tutorial
for rollovers (yes, I didn't know how to do that either) and I
can't even preview this in a browser now. I've attached the code.
Please help if you can!

There is a linked CSS file named navigation.css. The code you
pasted in
shows up fine in my browsers as a list of hyperlinks which is
what
should be expected if the CSS file is not found.
From looking at the code here it would appear that your
navigation.css
is in the same folder as your web page. Typically CSS files
will be
stored in a subdirectory on the site, so perhaps you would
find that
file in a folder named "css" or "styles" or something
similar, so the
path would be:
css/navigation.css
to link to the CSS file where your styles are found.

multi-level menus (or even just simple rollover menus) take a

Upgraded and now can't play anything in my library or in the store preview

So I upgraded to 6.0.1.3 and then found that none of my songs in the library would play and nothing in the music store can be previewed.
A sad situation over the festivities and grateful for any help

I took the drastic step of reformatting the drive. You need a day to do it for back up of all your files, planning how to reload the software, and of course an operating system disk. Luckily I had that as the recovery disks didn't work. You also need to know where to get the drives when the recovery disks don't work and the sony download taxi did the trick.

Can't preview RAW files in Bridge CC, administrator issue?

Can't preview RAW files in Bridge CC.
When i try to upate Bridge, it says:
Bridge is unable to check for updates, cause it can't connect to the internet or user is logged in as a non-administrative user.
So then i have to log in as a administrative user to the Bridge...and update..
Can't it be done easier???
I must also say i have also Bridge CS6 installed on pc and there everything is working fine.

1/ Adobe Bridge should be possible to open without administrator issue.
By default it does, something seems wrong with your install
2/the images DO appear first for 2 or 3 seconds , then it turns to a RAW file icon.
Again indicating a wrong install, you see the embedded jpeg previews briefly but then the Raw thumbs should be build. When you see the generic Raw icon this means you don't have the correct version of the ACR plug in installed to match your camera or no converter at all.

3/i only succeed in openening Bridge descently , so with ableing to see RAW files , WHEN i go to c:/progamfiles/Adobe/AdobeBridhecc/Bridge.exe
When, If i copy the exe file for opening Bridge CC and i put it on the Desktop, it DOES NOT Preview the RAW files.
Here you have lost me. As a Mac user I'm afraid I don't know nor understand anything about .exe, I download the .dmg file for an application which then automatically opens and I just click on the install icon, provide admin password and serial number once and then start using it without bothering about install ever again

Develop mode says 'no photo selected', so I can't edit anything.

After importing photos into LR4 I select one and hit the develop button and then the screen shows 'no photo selected.' So I can't edit anything. The ruler where images usually are in develop mode, below the main image window doesn't show any images either. I found that if I select an image in 'library' mode then click on 'book' mode and back to 'develop' mode, then the image appears and allows me to edit it. I don't get it. Is there are different way to access photos, am I doing something wrong?

You should be able to select a photo in Library and go straight to Develop. Anything else isn't normal behaviour. Don't have a straight answer as to why it would be otherwise. Are you rendering previews on Import? Is the drive fast?

Can't Preview HDV Capture In Premiere Pro CS6

I can't preview my HDV footage in Premiere Pro CS6.
I know I'm not supposed to be able to see anything in the Capture Window when I'm actually capturing HDV, but it says I should be able to see my footage when I am just previewing in the Capture Window.

I just figured it out.
I'm using 2 monitors in extended mode.
One is a VGA flat panel and the other is a DVI flat panel.
I had the Capture Window open on my VGA monitor.
When I moved the Capture Window to my DVI monitor, I got a preview picture.
It's funny, when I move the Capture Window from the DVI to the VGA while playing, playing stops.
And when I move it bak to the DVI, it continues to play.
Maybe because the VGA isn't digital?
Both monitos are hooked up to my GTX 470 GPU, so it seems wierd.
Any feedback on this would be welcomed.

But i really wonder how you did that. did you always switch between design view and preview view, then change the key position for 2px then switch back, to align the four letters? because i imagine that can get really frustrating, if you have a logo consisting of 58 parts instead of 4!:)

Can't preview footage on my deck

I'm still on FCE 2 (planning to do a major system upgrade later this year), and ran into capture problems, like everyone else, when I upgraded to OS 10.4.9. After reading on this board about the problem and solution (upgrade FCE or revert to an older OS) I remembered I had created a back-up of OS 10.4.7 on an external hard drive. Lucky me. I re-started in that OS and was able to capture successfully.
Now the problem. I can't preview my footage through my deck any longer. Yesterday right after capturing several clips I dropped some on the time line and wanted to preview through my deck on TV. The deck would not recognize anything coming from FCE. This is the same exact setup that I just used to capture -- OS 10.4.7 with QT 7.1.2.
I switched over to OS 10.4.9 with QT 7.1.5 installed and was also not able to see any image on my deck.
Any suggestions?

OK, the problem is back...I guess I was to early in calling this one solved. As I stated the weird thing is that I can capture without any problems now but as soon as I close the capture window and try editing I lose the image on my deck.
Any suggestions?

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

If you want an app the requires iOS 4.3 or higher you will need to get a newer model iPod

When I preview a folio on indesign CS6, it can't preview on my ipad 4. (run iOS 7.0.4, DPS version - V28)
After build the folio,it appear a pop up message:
I've check all connections, restart the ipad, reinstall Adobe Content Viewer. But also same problem?
After I try to plug another old device - ipad 1, it works!!!
I don't know why??
Is the Adode Content Viewer not compartable in iOS 7.0.4??

I have a suspicion that the problem is not in the recording device itelf, but rather in the playback-software, which is struggling with an unfamiliar audio format/codec/whatever-it's-called... I opened the file in QuickTime Player 7 (7.6.6) and selected "Show Movie Properties" and it says:
"Video Track: H.264
Sound Track: Integer (Little Endian)"
All current Mac systems support Integer (both Big and Little Endian) audio natively. The fact you can hear anything at all proves that the audio is playing back. The most likely problem would be a malfunction associated with the mic pickup.

After Upgrade can't preview/download from the ITunes Store-I have internet

I can listen to the radio from ITunes fine-I definately have internet-I've browsed through help and emailed for help! Anyone know what to do?? Can't buy anything from AppStore

Hi,
I have the 1st generation iPod and it seems that the AppStore is all messed up. I can't buy anything, can't scroll through the preview app's pictures, sometimes they don't even show up...
If there's a new AppStore version or whatever and it is not supported in older hardware, that's just ridicolous.

Have you tried resetting your iPod to see if that helps? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If the issue still persists, try restoring the iPod from a previous backup in iTunes or factory defaults if necessary.
The App should work just fine for any iOS device running iOS 2.0 or later.

Lost all the orginal photos on an external hard drive. Can I do anything with the images in the library?

I recently had an external; drive die which had the only copy of the orginal files for a referenced library in iPhoto. I can still see the images in iPhoto but can't do anything with them becuase the program says it can't find the orginal. Clearly there are images stored somewhere in the system does anyone know of a way to extract them to recover the lost images?

It gives you a new library from yorr previews - do it by depressing the option key and launching iphoto - create a new library - open it and drag each folder form the priviews folder of you old library to the iPhoto window
And I strongly suggest that you make this a default managed library - and that you start backing up before you lose these too
