Can't preview messages on 8220 (flip). Setting? Help?

I can't preview emails (etc) on the external display of my blackberry flip (8220)
The little envelope icon shows up but I can't preview the message from the outside.
The only way I can check it is to open the phone. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
No data will be lost when doing the following: pull the battery while the device is ON. Replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is fixed, Thanks

  • Ibook Author can't preview message

    Hi,
    I have almost finished my book in iBook Author. Today I added short titles to the videos. I've got 50 videos throughout the book. But when I started to Preview the book on iPad IBook Author says it Can't preview. it loaded perfectly fine on iPad till today. This is a screenshot.
    After I added the video titles my file jumped up from 170Mb to 225Mb. I know the file is huge but how 50 short lines can expand it to 55 MB.
    May the file size be the reason that it doesn't upload the book to iPad? I uploaded for the test the previous versions and it works fine, but not the new file.
    Does IBA have a file size limitation to upload it to iPad?
    Any ideas?

    Issue resolved.
    I think it's a file size issue. I managed to reduce the file back to 170 MB and it loads fine now. But the reason of file expansion to 50 MB was that I applied the character style for video labels to make it ALL CAPS via Widget tool. This simple step added 50MB to the file.

    I just curios that why everyone can create support message in satellite system-> help -> create support message?
    I tested with restricted profile user and without role SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE, NO BP created but he still manage to create support message???? Any idea??
    Also, same goes to any user can process ticket in SOLMAN with no BP-Employee role and SAP_SUPPDESK_* roles assigned.

    If you are using a "Named" user instead of the Trusted Relationship in the RFC maintained in BCOS_CUST for entry OSS_MSG then this is quite possible. In this case the "Named" user will be used to call the interface to create message and the calling user ie the end user creating the ticket will only be used as "Reporter" of the message.
    The user entered in the RFC details probably has the authorization to create Support desk messages.

    Lol ok call me stupid.... but is there a way to set ringtones to contacts so when you recieve a text message it plays a different rintone? I can do it for calls but not messages.... and this is really bugging me..... PLEASE HELP ty >.<

    I've been running iTunes on WinXP for years with few problems.  I have all my iTunes files on an external USB drive. I just bought a new PC running Win7, 64-bit.
    I connected the external USB drive to the new PC and installed 64-bit iTunes on it. When iTunes started up, I pointed it at the iTunes directory in the external drive, using Edit > Preferences > Advanced > iTunes Media Folder Location. It showed a progress bar that it was updating the iTunes Library. I signed in and authorized the new machine. I have one spare authorization.
    Then iTunes put up a message "The item you've requested is not currently available in the Hong Kong Store." I had not requested anything from the HK store at that point, and I have never used any store other than the HK one.
    When I click OK, the iTunes Store page remains blank, apart from saying "iTunes Store" in the middle of the page.
    I went to "View My Account" and pressed the Reset button to "Reset all warnings for buying and downloading items", but that doesn’t fix this particular warning. I also tried Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Reset Warnings and Rest Cache.
    But still, every time I click the “App Store” button in the iTunes Store window, the message appears. If I click the Books, Podcasts or iTunesU buttons, these display normally.  So I’m stuck with being unable to purchase apps, other than through my iPad and iPhone.
    If I move the external drive back to the XP machine, the same thing happens.  If I go to another PC - a notebook running Vista - everything is normal.
    Any idea how I can clear that message?

    Further info on my question above.
    I have tried re-validating my credit card, which apparently fixed it for some. 
    I have also tried uninstalling, re-downloading and installing again.
    Neither of these steps fixed the problem.

    I Have seen people report this issue when they try to sync their devices but in never seen it when trying to restore an unresponsive iPad. I would sguggest trying recovery mode now.
    If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
    This procedure will totally erase the iPad so I hope that you have a backup that you can restore from....assuming that it works, that is.

    I am geting the same message when updating to IOS-5.  "Please re-insert you SIM, or visit your carrier store to receive a replacement SIM card."  Unfortunately we are stuck as well and I have not found anyone yet to give a solution???  Will end up going to Apple tomorrow :-(

  • On my daughters iPad mini she can not send messages. She can receive them but the send button stays light gray after you type a message. It worked when we first set it up but now it does not. Tried resetting and logging out and back in. With no change.

    Thank you for the details of the issue your daughter is experiencing with sending messages on the iPad.  It sounds like you might have the Subject Field turned on. To disable this go to Settings > Messages > Show Subject Field.

  • Bug: No Cursor Focus with Instant Preview Message Replies

    When you receive an Instant Preview Message and click on this notification (not shortcut reply but click on the notification itself for bbm or text messages) this brings you into the Hub to reply to that message. 
    The cursor focus is now in the reply field blinking however the typing focus is not here. You must explicitly click in the reply field to re-set the cursor focus. Now you can type to reply.
    Is this a known bug? Is there a fix?

    cor-el, Thank you for the quick response. However, I am not a techie by any stretch and am totally disabled. Your answer basically made no sense to me, sorry. I also have something called Session Manager, in this case irrelevant as my FF page never stayed up long enough for me to do anything even to click on Restore.
    I have in the meantime, simply reverted back to an installation of 3.6.8 and everything is working fine right now. I hope others will find benefit from your response as it is way too deep for me to venture.

    The "can't establish a connection to localhost" message most likely means your Dreamweaver site definition has a testing server set up. Make sure your testing server is is up and running and that should mean your browser previews will work (assuming I've diagnosed your issue correctly).
