Can't preview webpage in firefox
Hello,
i've been using firefox to preview my webpages in dreamweaver for some time now and for some reason it won't open the page in firefox. If i use explorer or safari it works fine. Any suggestions as to why it might not be loading? thanks
no error messages. i just tried opening the page with firefox shut
down first and when it opened firefox, the page came up. if firefox
is open already nothing happens, meaning the home page in firefox
doesn't change. it doesn't matter which page im trying to view i get
the same response with all pages. thanks

How can i preview my persona in firefox if not submitted yet firefox 10.0.2
How can i preview my persona in firefox if not submitted yet firefox 10.0.2, I cannot find the option
You can probably do that by installing a persona and replace the two file lightweighttheme-header and lightweighttheme-footer with your persona files.<br />
Otherwise you need the Personas Plus extension.

I can't preview my site in any browser
I have a Windows computer and I can't preview my site in IE or Firefox. IE tells me "cannot display the webpage".....Firefox tells me "can't establish a connection to localhost." I've been trying to fix it for a couple hours now, I would appreciate any help/tips/suggestions that anyone can give me. Thanks.
The "can't establish a connection to localhost" message most likely means your Dreamweaver site definition has a testing server set up. Make sure your testing server is is up and running and that should mean your browser previews will work (assuming I've diagnosed your issue correctly).

Is there a way to automatically refresh a webpage in Firefox 3.6.10?
hi there,
I am hoping the Firefox team can help with a small problem, is there a way of automatically refreshing webpages within Firefox 3.6.10 and 4.06 beta? We are building an interesting website at the moment and the client is using Firefox 3.6.10to view the site. Each time they go onto the new website to see the changes we have done, they are shown old pages. We need to rectify this problem as quickly as possible, for our client without requesting that they refresh the page each time they go onto the site. You can do that by changing a hidden preference.
# Type about:config into the location bar and press enter
# Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
# In the filter box type browser.cache to bring up a small number of preferences
# Double-click on the preference browser.cache.check_doc_frequency and change its value to 1
For more details on that preference see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.cache.check_doc_frequency -
Preview in browser - Firefox / File not found
Specs:
OS X 10.4.7
Dreamweaver 8.0.2
Firefox 1.5.0.1
I (and my whole office) am having a major problem. We all
work directly from files on our osx server. When working in
Dreamweaver and trying to "Preview in browser" with Firefox 1.5 we
get a "File not found" error. The problem seems to be stemming from
the path lacking the "Volumes" part of the directory.
For example:
When I preview in Safari the path is shown as:
file:///Volumes/Server_HD/Website_Folder/index.html (this
works)
But on Firefox or Mozilla I get:
file:///Server_HD/Website_Folder/index.html (this does not
work)
This problem did not occur in previous versions of Firefox.
Due do this problem, I have virtually eliminated Firefox as part of
my workflow in favor of Safari. I would love to return to Firefox
can anybody please help me!?Can you try again please, although not in a narrative? Just
go to the
ADVANCED tab on the Site Definition panel, and list the
contents of the
fields you see for Local, Remote, and Testing Categories (no
need for the
login info).

If I create documents by Acrobat 9,would it be no problem in
preview mode?Renu86,
Please disable any ad blocking or flash blocking plug-ins you
have enabled in your browser, or try using a fresh installation of
Mozilla Firefox. The blank black screen you see is most often
caused by ad blocking software falsely identifying Acrobat.com's
Flex-based software as a large Flash advertisment and not
displaying the content. Unfortunately this is beyond the control of
the Acrobat.com developers and would be local to the client
machine.
We are working with several of the most popular ad blocking
software developers to resolve this situation. -

The same thing accures when I use Safari 5.1.2.
Most of the letters are mixed together or new inventions. What you can try doing is clearing Firefox's cache: How to clear the cache.
If that does not work, try starting Firefox in Safe Mode. That will help eliminate the possibility of some sort of extension messing with your webpages.
You can also read Websites look wrong, which has a list of other solutions is those two don't work. -

Hi, I got the problem with Firefox 27.0.1. I can not run Selenium on Firefox after login a website for automation testing. The browser is not responding. However when I close Nunit, the page is back to be normal. The title is returned to the name of website without "not responding". I sure this problem did not happen on Firefox version 26. I just got this problem when firefox upgrading automatically to version 27. Please help me fix this problem because it is very important for my work. If you need more information pls send your concerns via my email address.
Thanks so muchHi, the work around suggested above should put you in working mode in the meantime. However to help investigate the issue it is possible to analyze what is not loading or taking a long time by analyzing the network traffic or http headers of the Nunit web page.

I use Firefox and Google Chrome for forums because they are faster than IE as IE(7) tends to hang a lot , so i have all my Favorites and everything synced with Firefox , as this is my main browser , but i do still use IE7 for some browsing , u went to Settings and unchecked the History , in the Sync section , but when i go to Firefox to view a forum topic i was looking at , recently , if i had gone to IE and visited any sites , then they show up in my history (for example Craigslist , i will look at several adds , and ALL of them are in my Firefox History) and push my Firefox history off the list so i have to go back to my favorites and start over , instead of being able to use my Firefox ONLY history so i can just go to those pages
Is there anyway to fix/bypass this but still have Cookies and Favorites and such synced ?? , without the IE History knocking all my Firefox history off the list ??
It's just annoying to have to go back from the beginning and search the topic i was in on a forum, because it was bumped off the list by any browsing i did in IE7, in between time
Another issues since i am posting:
I also have "Check Places" and it does not bring all the Favorites i have added in my IE Favorites over , the ones i did when i first installed it transferred , but any additional ones i have added to IE will not transfer , is there something wrong with Check Places ?? does it only transfer your Favorites 1 time , and not check for additions to the list then add them accordingly ???Only when i go to a different browser (like IE) after i clear it , then all that shows up is the pages i visited in IE , that is what bugs me , why is IE browsing history sowing up in Firefox ??
Basically , i can clear the history in Firefox , and then for a example , go to Craigslist , using IE7 (launching it from a complete different Icon , in other words at that time i never open Firefox) , then after closing out , or even leaving open as it does not seem to matter , i go into Firefox , and hit History , and there is every place i visited in IE7 , on my History in Firefox -
Netscape use to let me choose and create new profiles. after clicking on the icon for netscape i was prompted for which user profile i wanted. can i do this with firefox? also, each user profile was linked with its respective email account. can i do this through firefox as well? I need help. i have tried setting up firefox before and since i couldn't accomplish this i had given up but netscape is so old and most sites cause it to crash, i need a solution. i have 2 main profiles and 2 different email addresses. any advice or help, even not firefox related would be great
Firefox doesn't have the same type of interface for the Profile Manager that Netscape did. You might want to look at SeaMonkey (which uses the same Mozilla Gecko code as Firefox has).
