Can't print directly from FMPro 6 since upgrade to 10.4

I have numerous computers but PC and Mac on a network, all peer to peer using FMPro 6 as a common database.
I have never had difficulty printing fron FM Pro until I started using Mac OS 10.4.
Now, most Macs with 10.4 has to print to pdf, then print the pdf.on one or two of the files.
The files have not been changed in any way.
The interesting thing is that not all machines exhibit the problem, and most started fine but suddenly would not print certain files.
In one case, the issue seems to have resolved itself.
Is this a common problem?
I looked on the FMPro site but could not find a reference.

Didn't resolve the issue directly. Have to preview pdf and print from there.

How can I print directly from my iPad to my new Primax 3260 printer when I have no computer? Do I need a portable one to one Router for the wiFi connection. My Internet is through Telstra 3G system.

Is your printer a wifi printer or hard wired only? If it's a wifi printer then you might want to look into third party apps like Print n Share or Print Central which allow a version of air printing to non-air print printers.
You may also want to look on the manufacturer's site. Maybe they have a fix for you.
If your printer isn't wifi, then you will need a router to get it on a wifi network to print to it. As far as I know, there is no support for the iPad to do wired printing.

i want to know that how can i print direct from my pc, and i also want to knw that can i directly print from my ios device.

To print from your PC, please check out the following iFelix article.
To print from an iOS device (iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad), the printer must be AirPrint-ready. If the printer is not, another option would be to use something like.
Also you can check out this Apple Support article.

How can I print directly from my IPad to my network printer?

Take a look at the application Printopia. It's an application for your Mac, if in fact you have a Mac. Works great here. Cost is about $10 (US.)
I'm not sure how it will work with a network printer. Probably depends on your setup.

  • I can using AirPrint from safari and email to my hp printer but do not get print as an option from the pulldown menu from the new york times and other apps. How can I print directly from these apps?

I can't seem to print directly from apps like the new York times. Print is not an option from the pulldown menu. Print to my hp printer works  fine from safari and email though and from some other apps. Do some apps not permit printing? That doesn't right.

You can ask the NY Times why not.
Standard behavior is that Airprint always works with iBooks, Mail, Photos, and Safari.  Apps are up to their author.

  • This is a hint to anyone who cannot find their airprint printer from their ipad:  after 10 hours of trying everything imaginable, i can now print directly from my iPad by turning off the bluetooth in settings and waiting for 30 seconds.  presto!

after spending a full day and a half trying everything imaginable, i finally found a way to get my ipad to find my new airprint capable  printer.  I could print from email or the cloud, but not directly from my ipad.  After reading a discussion about bluetooth printers, i turned off bluetooth in settings, waited 30 seconds, and voila!!  I was able to print directly from my ipad.  Try it if you are having troubles

    Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.

  • Can't print over wireless router since upgrade to Leopard

I have an iBook and a G5 tower. My Epson printer is connected to the G5, and for several years I've been printing from the iBook over my Linksys WRT54G router. I just upgraded the laptop to 10.5.2 (from 10.3.9) and I can no longer print via the router.
I've tried setting various configurations, nothing works. Used the router IP address, the G5 IP address, "my-Computer.local" etc. I've tried it with Internet Printing Protocol, and Line Printer Daemon. Also, I installed new drivers from Epson, but they don't show up in the printer configuration window. I only see the Gutenprint driver for my printer.
Is there any way to make this work? Thanks.

I had the same issue with the MP620. I found an "answer" in another forum... but I'm not 100% happy with it as it requires changing the firewall setting to all ALL incoming connections. FYI, the guy that posted this info, never posted the direction on how to create the exception.
" I was having the same problem. What it turned out was that the default mac os x Firewall was preventing me from seeing the printer. Try following these steps and see if they help. This was for Max OS X 10.5:
    1) Click the 'Apple' button in the upper left-hand corner
    2) Choose 'System Preferences...'
    3) Click the 'Show All' button at the top to make sure you are seeing all the options
    4) Under the 'Personal' heading, pick the 'Security' button
    5) There are 3 tabs at the top, choose 'Firewall'
    6) There are 3 options, try picking 'Allow all incoming connections' (the first option). IMPORTANT: this will make your computer less secure if you don't eventually change this setting back to 'Allow only essential services' so please remember to do that after you finish (see step 13).
    7) Now that your firewall is disabled, lets try to add the printer
    8) Click the 'Show All' button again to get back to main System Preferences page
    9) Under the 'Hardware' section, choose the 'Print and Fax' button
    10) If you see the 'MP620' series under the printers list on the left, delete it by selecting it and pressing the '-' button underneath.
    11) Insert the Canon CD and repeat the install process (or download the drivers from the canon website). Please be sure to follow all the directions in the manual but this time it should work.
    12) Check that the printer works. If not, there are other things you can try, just post a response and I will follow up.
    13) Re-enable your firewall by selecting the 'Allow only essential services' tab under the 'Firewall' tab of the 'Security' menu.
    14) Check that the printer still works. If it doesn't, you will need to either keep your firewall disabled or set an exception. That is a little more complicated and I can post those directions if somebody asks about them."
Hope this is helpful and if someone can find the exception... also post it"

  • Can't Print Photos from N8 since Nokia Belle upgra...

    Hi all,
I have an N8 and a Fujifilm QS-70 printer.  In the past I have been able to print photos directly from the phone to the printer by just going to the picture on my phone, and then selecting the print option.  Since Nokia Belle installed, the Print option does not appear any more.
Does anyone know if I am doing something wrong or if Nokia Belle has removed the Print drivers...?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi triv75,
Sorry to hear you are unable to perform a print since updating. How did you connect to the printer previously? was it by bluetooth?

  • Can you print directly from Dreamweaver?

I was wondering if there is any way to print Dreamweaver
documents directly from the application without having to preview
and print from a browser. If not, what is the best way to present a
Dreamweaver website to a client without doing it online?
It is essential in our office for clients to have print-outs
to mark changes on in meetings. We have just started using
Dreamweaver but have previously created Photoshop documents to
submit to our programmer, causing us to present our websites in
print-outs before handing it over to programming.
Is there a better way using Dreamweaver?
    Thanks

FILE | Print. But are you wanting to print the rendered HTML
    document?
    Sounds like it.

Put it on a CD? Or consider some third-party application like
    WebAssist's
SiteScribe (requires that the Java Engine be installed)?

  • I can't print only selected text since upgrading to Firefox 8.0. Using Mac OS Lion

Until Firefox 8.0, I could select text on any webpage and print only that text. Now, I can't even get a print dialog box with an option to "Print Selection" only.
I also recently upgraded to OS Lion (from OS Leopard) on Mac. Any chance that that is the problem or is it in Firefox? I've seen lots of help requests on this site from other people with problems printing selected text from websites.

Firefox hangs the same way in safe mode.
There is no such thing as a Firefox program folder on a Mac, nor is there an "uninstall" to do, so these directions are not relevant to a Mac user.
    The problem remains.

  • Can't print directly from web pages anymore-what setting needs to be changed?

After doing a recent update for the printer, the program jammed up and I was forced to  uninstall then reinstall the printer. Since doing so, whenever I want to print a doc from a website, I right click to print, and a save page comes up-forcing me to save the document somewhere before I can print. I save to desktop, then can print from there. This is an extra step I never had to do before-could always print from the page. What setting do I need to change?

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
It sounds like the printer is not the "Default".
Print to Printer without First Saving to File
Not nearly as common, slightly possible, is that your browser is not picking up a properly set default printer setting.

  • I can't print anyhing form anywhere since upgrading to Firefox 3.6, absolutely nothing. I saw other similar questions answered but they didnt help me

I have Widows XP . A HP Deskjet952C printer that worked fine before. I uninstallled the printer and reinstalled it to no availe. When I put the software disk in to reinstall it the printer, it comes up and says this driver won't work with Windows 2000. I don't have Windows 2000! I'm ready to uninstall Firefox altogether and go back to the older version. I'vead the comments from edmeis, but none of them worked. Iwas doing fine printing before because I printed greeting cards. Can someone help? Thankyou.

Ok I tested a bunch of different Firefoxes on my pos linux box.
    '''''Worked with xmodmap:'''''
    Vanilla 16.0.2,
    Vanilla 16.0B6,
    Ubuntu Firefox 16.0.2 (16.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1)

I have an old Dell Dimension 2400 I plan to use as a replacement for the Sony Vaio when it pops. I've held out as long as possible because it lacks a pci or usb wifi and I really didn't want to run 50 feet of cat5 up a flight of stairs to it. [as i type this i think i remember where a linksys stick for it might be]. Yes I guess it's about time I just do that.
Don't laugh but the reason I held off adding a simple usb keyboard was just lack of space in my tiny bedroom. My setup is on two tray tables side-by-side. Sony Vaio is on left one, my lcd monitor and mouse are on the other. I barely have room to put a cup of coffee on the one with monitor and mouse let alone a full size usb keyboard lol.
Anyway thank you again for all your help.

  • Can you print direct from the tablet or phone with PST

Interested in printing from the iPad iPhone  with PST?
    Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can but others who use iOS will have to chime in here; I use Android. (And if others who are using Android are wondering: Yes, you can.)

  • How can I print directly from my iPad 3 to an OKI?

I've got an OKI ES5460MFP connected wirelessly throughout my house with a BT Home Hub 3. It obviously isn't an AirPrint printer, but is there any hardware that I could connect to the printer or Hub to allow it to work?

    lee97 wrote:
I've just been looking into it all, couldn't the AirPort Express do the job?
No. The printer would still need to be AirPrint compatable to work. Airport express is just a router.
You might check the app store. Some printer vendors have app that facilitate printing wirelessly, even if the printer is not Airport compatable.
