Can't print from Acrobat

Hello, my problem is that I can't print documents from Adobe Acrobat prof.
Every time the error "a required resource cannot be loaded".
I tried to use another printer, another pc. No matter which printer it is every time the same error. On another pc (terminal server) there is no error.
I have installed the printers again, same error. I have installed adobe cs2 again. same error.
I tried to print from other cs2 application but there is the same error.
Anybody who can help ?
thanks a lot

I am a bit confused by some of the implications in your topic. You talk about printing from Acrobat, but then it seems like you are talking about creating PDFs (ok, that is reading between the lines). I am not really sure what you are doing. Might it also be an issue of a network printer? What OS; what Acrobat; and what steps are you actually taking?

I have a windows 7 64-bit computer that can't print to any printer from Acrobat 9 Pro.  When you try to print I get the following error:
"print driver host for 32 bit application has stopped working"
Any thoughts, it's driving me crazy....

I'm having the identical problem and the only way I can get it to work is by not trying to change the title suggested by Acrobat for the PDF.
If I try printing from Firefox and pasting in a new PDF title, it crashes Firefox.

  • Can't print from acrobat reader

I have a mac mini (2011) running lion. I have the latest version of Acrobat Reader installed. When viewing any pdf file, it works fine. However, if I click on the printer icon, nothing happens. Nothing goes to the print queue. Also, if I hit File>Print, the printer dialogue doesn't appear. Nothing happens at all.
I can print pdf files from Preview, just fine, so I know it's not a printer problem.
I've trashed and reinstalled Acrobat Reader, fixed permissions, rebooted and trashed the Adobe Application Support files from Library.
I'm stumped. I have to have Acrobat, as it's the only program that can open certain government forms. I can't "print as image" since I can't even get the printer dialogue to show up. I'm only having this issue on one machine, so I'm completely stumped.

simply follow directions. go by the numbers follow them in order they are given.
Now items 3&4 you have to do once for your system, and once for each User Account (name you gave computer when setting up example you gave name as John Smith name for user account would be johnsmith).
Once completed (1-5)  hit return then choose Reboot or Shutdown.
In your case choose r and then hit return.
when it restarts wait, a whole bunch of cache files were dumped. You may even see the "dreaded "Blue screen for a little bit, and bits and piece of the desktop will appear until completely rebuilt.

  • Can't print from Acrobat std, can print from Reader

    Hi,
One of my clients has a couple of Acrobat Standard 9 licenses (updated to 9.4.2). 1 of those computers has trouble printing to a certain printer with all pdf files, in fact, Acrobat doesn't print at all. Tried different printerdrivers, different settings, print as image,... nothing works.
Finally installed a Reader 9.2.1 (only 9 version I still have), and for some reason that one does print the exact same files that the Standard version won't.
    Tried repairing, doesn't work either.
Anyone got any ideas what might be causing this issue and what might solve it?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Printing from Acrobat Reader 9.1

I can not print from Acrobat Reader 9.1 to my HP printer connected wirelessly to my Mac. I can print fine from any other software on my Mac. Tips and suggestions are welcome!

I'm having the same issue. It all started after upgrading to 10.5.7 and Adobe Acrobat to 8.1.5.
I have an HP Photosmart C7280 and I am able to print via WiFi from all applications except Acrobat (version 8). However, Acrobat will print 1 page documents, but nothing longer.
At first I thought it was the 10.5.7 update. I saw in some other places that downloading and installing the combo update worked better for some folks. I did that, but still no joy.
I did the "Reset Printing System..." thing in system preferences and added the HP back. Still no joy.
I uninstalled and re-installed the HP software (drivers and all). Still no joy.
I uninstalled Acrobat and re-installed from CD so I was back to version 8.0. Still no joy.
I have not re-upgraded Acrobat to 8.1.5, but I don't have high hopes.
I wondering where the fix will come from. Hard to say that the problem is exclusively Adobe... made two changes to my system (OS upgrade and Acrobat upgrade). I have seen folks that dropped back to 10.5.6 and the problem persisted for them. I don't want to go back to 10.5.6 as I don't have that kind of time.
    Printing from Preview for now.

  • Can't Duplex print from Acrobat Pro 9.3.2 to Epson Artisan 800

I can not duplex Print from Acrobat Pro 9.3.2 to an Epson Artisan 800.
I an running it from a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.6.3
I called Epson support and they could not help me.
However they suggested that I try using Adobe Reader.
Well that works OK if I choose to print the document as an image, but I would prefer to just be able to work within Acrobat Pro.
Does anyone outthere have any settings within Acrobat Pro that would enable duplex printing?
    Thanks

  • Can't print from Illustrator or Acrobat

    Hi all,
I just upgraded my iMac to Mavericks, and am now having trouble printing from CS5. The message I get is "Can't print the illustration. The Color Management settings are inconsistent." I hadn't made any color management changes, so I assume this is related to the upgrade. I checked AI, PS, ID, and Acrobat, and all the settings are North American General Purpose 2. I opened Bridge, and it has the same color setting, and says that all CS apps are synchronized using the same color settings. How do I fix this so I can print?
    Thanks,
    Sue

Most of the time, I can't access the Printers & Scanners pane at all - I keep getting an error message (Could not load Printers & Scanners preference pane.). The few times that I did get in, the left pane that usually lists my printers is filled with bits and pieces of type and illustrations and symbols, so I can't select a printer. I tried printing to a different printer (Epson), and can do that without any issues (duh, don't know why I didn't try that last night). I can also print from Word to the printer that my CS5 apps won't print to (HP).
I spent some time this morning with AppleCare, and they want to walk me through reinstalling Mavericks. I have too much work to do at the moment to take the hour or so to reinstall, so I'll call them back this evening.
    This is fun. Not.

  • Faded colors when printing from Acrobat - different than previous

    Hi
I have read some threads about color fading when printing a PDF created in ID and printed from Acrobat. My problem is the same and I am also having the same problem with PDF's exported from Keynote (client created posters). It sounds like I should work with the PDF optimizer for the solution. Has anyone experienced the fading colors from anything other than ID or Quark made PDF's? Did the optimizer fix the problem? I find it frustrating that I can print directly from ID and not have a problem - why can't they all get along!  ;0)
Using Acrobat 9, Keynote 09 and an Epson 9880 printer.
    Thanks

RE: "You don't indicate what Xerox printers you have"
In my first post I named it, is that the information you need?
    Docucolor 3535 using Splash 3535
That's interesting, so I have to find a way to turn off the printer's Color Management function? I mailed them, hope they can tell me how to do it easily. They usually just tell me to not use any profiles and so on, but that's the general rule in this area, I'm really tired of hearing it. Everybody seems to think profiles and LAB mode are nuclear science and I should stay away from it.
Anyway, the test image I'm using is a simple photograph (size A3, 300dpi), so no transparencies at all. I'm placing this image into an equally large ID file and print it from ID, then export it to PDF-X/3 and print it from Acrobat. Hope that helps.

  • How to get  paper color profiles when printing from Acrobat

    Hello,
I've been in trouble trying to print with specific paper profiles from Acrobat.
I'm running on mac os 10.8.5, and the latest version of the suite (Acrobat XI).
My printer is an Epson 3880.
I can print ok using my paper profiles when I'm printing from Photoshop; the paper profils show up in the printer box,
and I can choose from my different paper profiles, some of which I've installed recently, non-Epson papers.
But those paper profiles don't show up in the menu when I print from Acrobat…
Any hints why I can't reach those?
Thanks in advance for any help,
    Keth.

Are you talking about the color profiles?  If so then:
    1.  Go to File>Print
    2.  Click the Advanced button
    3.  Select Color Management from the window pane
    4.  Select the Color Profile from the Color Profile pop-up menu

  • Can't print from Photoshop CS6

I'm on an Intel Mac running OSX 10.8.4 and Photoshop stopped printing to my Brother HL-5050 laser printer. No error messages, no dialogue boxes, it simply prints a blank sheet of paper. I can print from Acrobat, Pages, Word, and Illustrator, but not PS. I tried the usual suspects-trashed the prefs, restarted, replaced the Brother printer drivers, but nothing works.
However, If I switch to a different login ID, I can print normally. That, I assume, means that there's some combination of parts and conditions in my user preferences that are causing the problem, so what are my options? What is the simplest way to get around this problem?

    Hi Birk,
Wait, did you try just clearing your Photoshop preferences? If you haven't I'd do that first since that's easiest:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2012/07/photoshop-basic-troubleshooting-steps-to-fix-mos t-issues.html#Preferences
If that doesn't allow you to print, I'd confirm that a new Admin user account allows you to print:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2012/07/photoshop-basic-troubleshooting-steps-to-fix-mos t-issues.html#Permissions
If that does allow you to print, you can try and repair permissions, but as I note in the link above, it's not always bulletproof way to correct permissions. You may just need to bite the bullet and create a new user account if Repair Permissions doesn't correct it.

  • Can't print from PDF files to desktop printer (CS3)

I installed CS3 about 8 months ago and recently have been having issues printing PDF files to a desktop printer from Acrobat and Reader. All other documents are able to print to this printer (including other CS3 software).
I get an error that says:
"Unable to start print job. Is printer available?"
If I open the same PDF in illustrator or Photoshop it will print, but obviously this is not ideal for multiple page pdfs. The same error happens from PDFs created by me as well as others.
My first thought was to reinstall Acrobat, but seems this isn't possible without reinstalling the whole suite...
    Any ideas?

    Hi rooster56,
    See thi post: http://forums.linksysbycisco.com/linksys/board/message?board.id=Network_Magic&thread.id=18
Also note, when you plugged the Printer into the Router, you need to install the entire Printer Software package into each operating system that you want to print from. It can't print unless the software for the printer is installed.

  • Upgrade to tiger, can't print from any app

    Hi All
I normally fix my own problems, but this has me stumped.
I've upgraded to tiger and done a software update to 10.4.7.
Now I can't print from any app.
I've done the "reset printing system" but this hasn't worked.
All my printers are ethernet networked, no USB.
At this time of writing, I have just managed to print from indesing CS2, but nothing else, mail, textedit, acrobat, none of them work...
...Don't suppose anyone has any ideas?
PS, when I attempt to print, my app is quit and I have to relaunch.

I had the same problem when I upgraded to Tiger. I have a HP PSC 2175 All-in-one printer. I solved my problem by uninstalling the HP printer software, emptying the trash, restarting, and reinstalling the HP printer software. I also installed the lastest HP printer driver, which I downloaded from the HP website.
I repaired permissions after doing all that, and now everything seems to print fine.
I suspect the same steps might work for other printers, as well.
The relevant page from the HP site is here: http://tinyurl.com/ztkwq
Macfixit also has a tutorial for troubleshooting printer problems. I have not tried any of the solutions which involve downloading troubleshooting software. Maybe someone else here can say whether the software mentioned in the article works well or not. • Can't print from IndesignCS2 since upgrade to Leopard

Like it says in the title, since I got upgraded to Leopard, my Epson Stylus Photo 1400 printer won't print correctly from Indesign.
If I set a job to print, the top 1" or so (on A4 pages) is cropped off, with a corresponding strip of white at the bottom of the page. Printing to A3 the top 6" and everything wider than A4 width gets cropped off.
Seems to print OK from Photoshop and Acrobat though.
I've upgraded the drivers to the Leopard ones from the Epson Download site.
Anyone got and ideas, or is it time to junk a 1 year old printer?

Depending on how badly you want to keep the printer, you also just export as PDF and print from Acrobat? But basically, CS2 is not super compatible with Leopard and never will be, so you kind of have to make do with what you can get. (For example, I have never been able to "Hide" CS2 on the Leopard MacBook here.)

  • MFP M127fn connected, test printing OK, can't print from applications

    Hello Everyone!
I have just set up my M127fn via USB on a Windows 8 system. The set up went fine. I have a small stack of test pages from the HP software, but it won't print anything from any applications like MSOffice. The HP diagnostic software (Print and Scan Doctor 4.6)  can communicate with the printer and everything checks out OK.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello!
I have replied twice to your last posting, but have heard no response. Unless a solution can be presented quickly, I fell I must return the product. LPug and play was introduced with Windows 95 and this HP product has not lived up to that 20 year old technological standard. My previous replies are copied below.
    Please respond soon.__________________________________________

    Hello again!
I haven't heard a response to my most recent reply. Is there anything you can suggest before I give up and return this HP product to the store? I would like a quick resolution to this. As an update to my previous email (copied below), printing is no longer working through Adobe Reader.
    Thanks,
