Can't print or see pdfs in print dialogue with 10.6.8

After installing 10.6.8 and safari 5.1.5, can't print pdfs from sites. Unable to save same pdfs also. Installed lasted software for my printer. Firefox doesn't display the pdfs.Worked fine with 10.6.7.

Have a look for and delete (if found) this file
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/AdobePDFViewer.plugin
It could also be in the User Library folder, so check here too:
Home/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/AdobePDFViewer.plugin

Whatever magic makes HP wireless printers work is intolerant of changes like this. I think you'll have to reinstall the printer using HP's installation program. Here's a link if you don't have it:

Why can't I open/see PDF files that are embedded in an email or sent through the internet?

I can read/see PDF files that are attached to an email, but I can't see/read them if they are embedded in an email or sent through the internet.

I have a similar problem. I can open, read, and save PDF files, but I can't view my online bank statement on my Mac. The statement opens automatically if I use a PC, but on my Mac the page says I need Adobe Reader to view my statement. I already have the latest version of Adobe Reader. The problem seems to be that that the plugin only goes to the Libray. It doesn't get installed into Safari or into FireFox either.

HT4356 What about the iPad notes. Can we print them with Airprint?

They say we can use Airprint with Safari, Pages, Mail, etc. But no mention of Notes. Not mentionning we can't either. Can we? My dad had a Canon printer compatible with Airprint. Both the updates has been made on the iPad and Canon software. When trying to print it says they can't find the Airprint. "Aucune imprimante Airprint détectée", to use the exact same word.

If he has a Canon printer that is compatible with Airprint, and he has upgraded the printer Firmware, you should be able to print. In fact, you should be able to print emails, web pages, notes, AND photos through Airprint. The Canon app should add more capability when printing photos (e.g., choice of paper types, paper sizes, image sizes, etc) that Airprint does not offer, so the Canon app is good to have for photos.
Make sure his iPad is connected to the same wifi network as the printer.
Try turning the printer off then on again. This will reset it.
What kind of a router is he using? Airprint needs Bonjour to talk to the router. There may be a firmware upgrade for that too.

Reader 11 on Win7(64) displays an oversized print dialogue with no bottom scrollbar. Useless!

When I try to print from Adobe Reader 11, I get a print dialogue that's garbled. It's using full screen and really big fonts so I can only see a small part.
Occationally it displays in the correct size, but then it shows no text.
I have screen resolution set to 1680x1050.
Could someone help me?

Hi, I'm trying to print pages of small images of my work - maybe nine to an A4 page - with the title of the work underneath each image. I can't see how to do this in iPhoto. If I export a medium image to a Word document, is this the way to do it? I don't have iLife or iWork. Thanks.

To add to Terence's suggestion put your comments in the Description field for each photo (click on the blue "i" button at the bottom left) and then print a contact sheet with the option to include the Comments (and any other field) under each photo.

Not sure what you mean regarding Backup. iCloud is not a backup system, it is the data store itself, if all you have is iCloud then you have no backup.

Pages '09 offered two types of documents.
Word processing documents included a text layer, and consisted of sections made up of multiple pages. If no section breaks were inserted, a fifty page document could consist of a single section. Text could be placed directly into the text layer, and Objects could be placed on the page as Floating Objects, independent of the text, and able to make text flow around themselves, or could be placed as Inline Objects, inserted into the line of text running from beginning to end of the document, and moving with the text as it was edited.
In a Page Layout document, each page was a single section. There was no text layer, so only objects could be placed on the page. Any text had to be contained in a Text box or in a Shape. Unless grouped, each object was independent of the others.
Changing your images from Floating to Inline objects may be the key to your document rearranging issues. They can be changed back to Floating after being moved to theor new locations.

I was under the impression that I can print to a wireless printer on my network through Apple TV??
I have connected Apple TV to my network and can play music etc but printing is still not enabled though my iPhone or iPad.

The Apple TV is for having content streamed to it to play it on a TV and audio speakers. You may be thinking of airport express or extreme to have printers etc.

Take a look at this document where it shows the option to print and the poster option is there. Although this document applies to Windows 8, I am pretty sure it will be similar for Windows 7.

Can't print wirelessly with HP 7410 printer using Airport Extreme

I've got 3 Macs (2 laptops, one desktop) that I was using successfully with my wireless HP 7410 all in one printer using my old Airport Base (snow) Station (822 b & g). Just upgraded for a variety of reasons to the new Airport Extreme Base station and I have NOT been able to get the printer to print wirelessly.
I have tried all available normal methods, including, but not limited to:
1) resetting and restarting the printer and computer
2) installing new printer software, including driver
3) deleting and reinstalling printers using the "print and fax" system preference
4) using the printer on a non-secure network
5) setting up the printer to connect via IPP and LPP
The end result of all of this is that the printer is attached to the network, but the computer (any of the 3) cannot connect to the printer. When I run the HP setup assistant, it cannot "find" the printer.
Everything was working perfectly before I "upgraded." Why am I not able to print with the new base station?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same proble trying to print. I have a Mac and 2 PC laptops. I tried to print to three different printers and it will not work. I called Apple support and I was told that it was set up and configured correctly, that it ust be my firewall blocking the printer. I'm at a loss after $179.00 and three hours of trying to get it to work.
