Can't print pdf's with new Adobe Reader XI

Hi there. I’ve just downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader XI. I can open up pdf’s but when I try to print it crashes. I am using a Mac OS X Version 10.6.8. I’m not very techie so plain language would be really helpful. I did click a box about enabling signatures and I’m not sure if that is causing the problem. Thanks.

We have two softwares ( medical application) which open pdf via adobe reader XI.
Theses softwares often can't open pdf, just after the adobe reader install( using adobeArCleaner+Customisation Wizard XI).
At this point Internet Explorer is ok to open pdf with adobe reader...
We have to launch manually adobe reader once on the computer to make the two applications to manage openning pdf
Launching adobe reader seems to finish the installation...
Did the editors have to put an "option" when they open pdf ( to act like Internet Explorer...) ?

Sorry I was not precise...
When the file should open,
for one application an error is happening,
for the other application which is a "web" application, an other window ( not "web") opens with adobe reader and the pdf document ( the expected behavior is to open adobe reader and the pdf file in the web window already opened)
I think that the file association is ok, if we double clik on a pdf, adobe reader is opening and then the file is opening in adobe reader window...
If I open Internet Explorer and I search for a pdf on the web, It is openning in the same window web.
But something seems not finish for the medical softwares...

Can only print in 4x6 size from Adobe Reader - Help!

When printing letter sized docs using Adobe Reader, in the preview print box it says the size of my preview is 4 x 6. I can't find anywhere to change this to letter size. My page scaling is set at Fit to Printable Area. Adobe Reader thinks the output size is 4 x 6 - how do I change this?

Can't print pdf files with adobe XI?

I can't print any pdf files since I updated to Adobe reader XI

What is your operating system? What is your Reader XI version?
What exactly means "can't"?

Problem with new adobe reader subscription to convert pdf files wor word or excel. When trying to use it it keeps telling me to subscribe now, which I have already done. How can I get it to convert files when asked to do so?

Can't print PDF's from new printer Brother HL-L2340DW

Installed new wireless Brother printer today. Can print word, excel, as well as webpages just fine, but cannot get any PDF's to print. I open these docs in Adobe Reader. Doesn't matter whether I have them downloaded from the web, or saved on my pc. Doesn't say it's spooling or printing at all. Doesn't give an error message either. Brother tech support was no help - said problem is with Adobe. Please help?

I am unable to print PDF's using either Adobe Reader or Safari. In Adobe Reader, I get an error message from my Cannon printer that says, "/usr.libexec/cups/filter/pstocupsraster failed". In Safari, I can only print the first page of a PDF.

To try to resolve this problem, I have done the following actions.
1 - I have run Disk Warrior.
2 - I have repaired permissions.
3 - I have deleted all plist that are either Cannon or Adobe.
4 - I have downloaded and installed the lastest versions of Adobe Reader and the Cannon printer drivers.
I am still unable to print PDF's.
In Safari, I can print only the first page. In a multipage PDF, Safari only seems to recognize the first page.
In Adobe Reader, I get an error message from my printer: "/usr/libexec/cups/filter/pstocupsraster failed".

Quit Safari.
Open the Library folder in your home folder as follows:
☞ If running OS X 10.7 or later, hold down the option key and select Go ▹ Library from the Finder menu bar.
☞ If running an older version of OS X, select Go ▹ Go to Folder… from the Finder menu bar and copy the line below into the text box that opens:
~/Library
Delete the following items from the Library folder:
Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Preferences/com.apple.quicktime.plugin.preferences.plist
Preferences/QuickTime Preferences
Relaunch Safari and test.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
Select "/var/log/cups/error_log" from the file list. Post the messages from the time of the last printing attempt.
Post the log text, please, not a screenshot. If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.

Can't print PDF file with "Technical" font

Having a problem here. Any PDF file I get that includes the font "Technical" will not print on my HP laserjet. It displays perfectly, but won't print at all. I do have "Technical.ttf" and "Technical_Italic.ttf" in Library->Fonts folder, and they show up as installed in Font Book under both "All Fonts" and "Computer." No font conflict shows. Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? Thanks!

First of all, you should check the font with Font Book to see that it is not damaged. Also, try printing a document which is not a pdf using that font. Then try printing the pdf with both Preview and Adobe Reader, with both the normal and print as image options for the latter. (I am trying to cover all possibilities here, but you did not include much information about what you tried and how it did not work.)

Excel 2007 formatting problems with new Adobe Reader 9.1

I am using Excel 2007 and have always been able to seamlessly save as PDFs until I updated to Adobe Reader 9.1. Now the formatting is completely messed up. I've tried several "fixes" listed on forums, including checking the printer parameters and nothing has worked. Please help!

I have a PDF document that I want to send to a printer and print the same page 4 times and pull paper from a different tray each time (different colored paper). Does anyone know if this can be done?

You can create a sideshow in PSE but I don't know anything about ipod so can't tell you whether it can be viewed in it.
Just for interest sake, what does an ipod do? I thought it was mainly for the music and speech based stuff but you seems to suggest otherwise.

I can't see pdf files. Have Adobe reader loaded

sometimes I can and then I can't. as far as I know I am doing nothing differently. Very frustrating. Am new to mac and on a very steep learning curve. Help witl be appreciated.

As Rick mentioned Preview is very useful, if you don't know how to get to it there are several ways. My favorite for launching apps is the use Spotlight (that is the magnifying glass in the upper right of your screen) by using a keyboard shortcut of Command + Spacebar then typing the name, that way I don't have to take my hands off the keyboard. You can also navigate to any App in your Dock or using Finder by going to the Applications folder. Because you are new to OS X I'd recommend bookmarking and beginning to use:
