Can't print pictures in color

I have an HP computer and Windows y, Pro. I have HP  4360 Deskjet Printer. I The usual default that I have set for printing is in grayscale. However, no matter what I do, pictures are printed in grayscale, even though I  have changed the default to Print in Color".
My printer is shared on a network, and when I print the same picture form my XP computer (also HP), it prints in color.
What can I do to print color pictures on my Windows 7 mcomputer?
Thanks for your help.

I'm seeing a similar thing. Resolution preset goes back to '720x486 NTSC' each time I open and close the project.
What I'm doing is slightly different though. Maybe not a standard workflow.
I'm importing 2048x872 pixel DPX log files. In Setup, Color shows them to be 24fps. I make a project and set Resolution Preset as '720x576 DV-PAL'. With Render file type as Quicktime Apple ProRes 422 HQ as the export codec. Set Printing Density to linear. so I get a Log-lin converted Quicktime. Drag the seq into the timeline and set Geometry so I get a letterbox QT.
I render and get a QT that appears a bit squashed. No problems I can adjust that in FCP (but why should I have to is another question, never mind)
When I save the project it saves. When I reopen the project, Resolution preset goes back to '720x486 NTSC'.

  • Error Message:Can't print illustration. Color Management systems inconsistent.

I am getting this error message, "Can't print illustration. Color management systems are inconsistent." I just upgraded to CS5(from CS2) on a Dell Studio using an Epson WorkForce 1100 or an Epson Sylus NX400. I am a rank amateur in AI & have no idea how to fix this. I do not seem to have the option to turn off color management in either of my printers to default to AI. All I am trying to print are some labels using regular fonts and a few smoke brushes for color. These are not wildly colorful or complicated. I KNOW I should be using a Mac but I do not have one...sigh...
    Thanks for ANY help.
    Marion.

not sure I understand the core problem...but what happens if you Save As "Adobe PDF" and Convert to your Print Space there in Output (then print from Acrobat or place in InDesign, heck maybe even open the .pdf in Ai and try again):

  • How can I print pictures direct from my camera?

How can I print direct from my camera?  This printer does not have any ports for accepting the card from the camera as my old photosmart printer did.

    Hey rmg111!
What kind of printer are you using? Most of our newer printers still have memory card readers which would allow you to print pictures directly from the printer. If the printer truly does not have the memory card readers (some of them don't), then you would need to use a computer to transfer the pictures from the memory card before printing them.

  • Can't print with HP Color LaserJet dn2605

I haven't been able to print my HP Color LaserJet from Early 2008 Mac Pro using 10.9.4.  I have attempted to print on the network and USB to no avail.  I have deleted the printer, reset all printers and scanners.  Once I delete or reset the printers, I always have to recycle/rebounce the printer so it can be found.  Once found and I select it by the "Use" drop down, there are two(2) HP Color LaserJet 2605 profiles.  I can select either one and sets-up the printer.  Once I attempt to use the printer, the print job goes to the queue and few minutes later the printer starts initiating and sounds like that a paper is getting ready to move and it stops or quits.  I then receive the yellow light a problem occurs, thats all the farther it goes.  I have the latest printer driver update 19.9..  I also have reloaded the OS 3-4 times.  Here is what I receive the print queue when it fails: "Stopped - Unable to write print data: Broken pipe".

That's sounding like a printer problem, not software.
But just in case, try deleting the HP folder from /Library/Printers, then Reset the Printing System and add the printer again.
OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system
If that doesn't work, use a browser and connect to your router, and see if you can identify the printer in "connected devices."
(a printer that changes IP address whenever there is some change on your local net will give symptoms like that)

  • Printed picture's colors are different

    Hi,
I just purchased a HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 6525 printer for printing some photos. I open an image in photoshop, then I press print. I have the following settings:
The result is very poor. The colors are dark, like a photo from instagram. My monitor is a SAMSUNG S24C750P. Photoshop version CS6 (osx).
I would like to know what's the correct setup for printing photos.
I really appreciate your help, this is very confusing.

You're not supposed to use sRGB as print profile. What you want is a paper/ink profile for the specific paper you're printing on (HP whatever glossy/matte and so on). These profiles are provided by the printer manufacturer and normally installed along the printer driver.
But I don't think HP does that, in the interest of "simplifying" things for the customer. Check to see what profiles are available (but I expect there won't be any paper profiles there). So in that case you can't let Photoshop Manage Color, you have to pick the other option and let the printer handle it.
I've never been able to figure HP out. They actually make very good hardware, but their philosophy seems to be that their customers are completely illiterate and need hand-holding every step.

  • Can you print pictures taken with iSight?

This question isn't for me, it is for a coworker who also has a powerbook. She wants to print a pic taken with iSight. Is this possible and if so, where does she go to find the file?
    thanks, Michelle

Hello Michelle. Your friend can print a picture taken with iSight if she can print anything else. All she must do is open the snapshot file with any compatible application and print from there. Mac OS X's "Preview" will print her snapshots made with applications authored by Apple (and many others).where does she go to find the file? That will depend on which Software Application she used with her iSight to make her snapshot.
For instance, if she uses iChat AV, (she must have the "Video Preview" window open to make a snapshot) her first snapshot file will be named "Video Snapshot 1" and will appear on her Mac's desktop.
(If she uses an older version of Mac OS X, she may need to click once on the desktop to make the Video Snapshot file appear.)

  • Can I print pictures from my iPad at Walmart, Walgreens, etc? How?

How do I print my pictures from my iPad at Walmart, Walgreens, cvs, etc.?

If they have an e-mail interface you should be able to.
Theoretically you can upload your photos to them and they can print them, however you may run into some Java issues (no way to know for sure until you try)
access their web site and see if you can upload.

  • I have a Samsung Digital camera that has WIFI how can I print pictures from my camera.ith this print

    Printing Photos from WIFI camera

    Hey Betp!
Sounds like you have a nice camera! Unfortunately, unless the camera has some kind of built in print driver, you wouldn't be able to print from it over Wi-fi. What you would most likely need to do is transfer the photos to your computer and then printer them, or remove the memory card and insert it directly into the printer (assuming it comes with that size slot).
    Hope this helps!

  • Colors don't match when printing pictures on J4860 all-in-one

When I print pictures, the colors are not true.  It doesn't matter what software I use, but usually it's Photoshop CS3.  I thought it was my monitor - that I wasn't seeing the true colors in my files.  But I've been able to verify that the colors on screen match the subject in the photo.  The prints from the HP J4860 do not match the screen images.  I currently have new ink, and they are new HP cartridges, not generic or refilled cartridges, but this has been a problem through many ink cartridge replacements.

    Hi there.
I don't know if there is much we can do to improve your output.  First off, I want confirm you are using an OfficeJet J4680.  We don't have a J4860.
Could you post an image that is unsatisfying, and let us know what you dislike?  I'm going to involve a color expert here, and he'll look to see if we can do anything.
    regards, CF

  • How can I print without color?

How can I print without my color cartridge in my printer, I have a HP Deskjet 3510. I cant find only print in black in white in the setting on my printer.

    Hi,
Actually we call it as Grayscale. But Grayscale is a mixture of all colors. If you only wish to print Black & White only, you need to set "Black Ink only" as default. Please try:
The setup may vary from printer to printer but basically (for Windows):
    (a) Double click printer icon on desktop,
    (b) Click Set Preferences,
    (c) Click Advanced,
    (d) Select "Black Ink only" for Print in Grayscale
    (e) Click Ok/Apply ...
    Regards.

  • HP1510 won't print pictures in colour

I can't print pictures(not photos) in colour.  but I can print pages of text in colour.   This ongoing problem occurs when I run low or run out of ink. It will either print in yellow and green only or in greyscale. Usually this problem is solved by putting in new ink cartridges, but not this time. I have auto cleaned and the test page comes out fine. Windows 8 Pro-64 bit/ HP Pro-Book 450 G1.

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I noticed that you cannot print pictures in color with your HP Deskjet 1510, on Windows 8. I am happy to help! Please try the steps within this print quality guide, Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages. You will want to make sure that you are using Genuine HP Ink Cartridges, and that they are not refills, low, or empty. If this does not resolve your issue, then the printer will need to be serviced/or replaced. • HP P6-2016 and Epson 2540 series printer. Can not print from documents file

I am using an Epson series 2540 printer with my HP P6-2016 running Windows 7.  I was trying to print a form I had
filled out on line.  When I click "print" I seemed to be in Fax mode.  I have never used this printer to Fax anything
and have no idea how this occurred.  I am now unable to print anything from my documents file or to copy anything
using my printer.  I can still print pictures from my pictures file.  Any ideas?

    Hello @Ongton,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
I understand that your Epson series 2540 printer is not quite functioning correctly with your HP Pavilion p6-2016 Desktop PC running Windows 7. As you are able to print photos from the computer to the printer it means that the pathways from the computer's operating system are functioning correctly and this is an issue with either the driver or the configuration of the Epson printer. I would advise you to post your issue on the Epson Support Site as they will know their drivers and configuration requirements better than we would.
I hope I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Print pictures borderless ?

how can i print pictures borderless in iphoto (marginlesss)?

Check your print window for paper sizes available:
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.
