Can't Print to PDF in Photoshop CS5
It's been a while since I've had the need, so I was surprised my PDF printer driver had disappeared from my drop-down menu. I came digging in the Adobe-verse and found (I thought) the right driver, but after downloading & trying to install, my Mac tells me that the file is corrupt. What gives, am I grabbing an outdated file? I'm running OS 10.7.3 and have tried these drivers (both telling me they're corrupted).

I think this is to blame on Apple - they are blocking this feature at the system level ever since one of the 10.7 updates. I believe there are some workarounds, but you really should better ask in the PS and Acrobat forums.

Cannot Print Labels & Description in Photoshop CS5
It seems that trying to print a photo with Description and Labels being checked in the Output section will not happen.
Any thoughts on why this function will not work in my recent upgrade to CS5 (version 12.0 x64)?
ThanksWe are having the exact same problem. We have multiple printers and all of them are having issues when labels are turned on in the Photoshop CS5 12.0.2 print dialog box on Mac OS 10.6.5 machines. One of our printers gives a Postscript error "Offending Command: limitcheck: yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy" and stops the print. Another printer seems to ignore the Postscript error and print the image but with no labels. If we turn off the labels option, everything prints fine out of Photoshop CS5.
Interestingly, if in the Page Setup dialog box in the Print window of Photoshop CS5 I select to save as a PDF and open that PDF in Illustrator CS5, the labels shows up, but it doesn't seem to be text. It looks like an image.
Adobe Tech Support is being very unhelpful. After speaking to my 4th "Senior Level" tech they will not even test the problem on their end. Apparently no one at Adobe Tech Support has a Mac with Photoshop CS5 on it to try printing from. -

Can not print a pdf from preview. It crashes every time from 2 different printers.
I can not print a pdf from preview. I have tried at two separate locations with two different printers.
I am having the same kind of problem when trying to print any kind of pdf: big, small, text only, with pictures. I dont know how it happend. Now it is happening in both my imac and macbook pro both runing the latest Lion MacOS with all updates installed. It is weird one moment my machine was printing ok then it stopped working. I have updated the printer software I have a canon image class mf4350. Also the curious thing is that I can print the same pdf document from adobe acrobat pro on the same computers with out any kind of problems.

I am unable to print a PDF file from a HP Photosmart Plus B210a. I contacted HP and they say because the printer does print word docs etc. the printer cannot be the cause of the problem. This is from the Top Level Support team. When contacting Adobe, they say that not being able to print their PDF files is not there problem but HP's.
Another call to HP and they now say it is Apple's problem.
I am in the middle and still can't print a PDF file. When trying to do so, it doesn't print and I receive no error messages. Just nothing. My serial number is
W88110PFZE3 and my operating system is OSX 10.6.8.
Does anyone have a suggestion, or do I just throw out HP?

How can I print a pdf in the actual size with a page border? (2 pages per sheet preferred)
I usually print pdfs of books at a copy shop and they turn out fine.
The problem comes when I try to print the same books at home.
I use Adobe Acrobat X with the same settings: "multiple pages per sheet" (2x1) and page border. But the pages are slightly shrunken when printed. I think this is because my printer can't print as closely to the margins. Still, two pages should be able to fit on one sheet in actual size. Are there any layout settings that I can play with to find a better fit, besides portrait and landscape?
If I select page scaling "none," I'm able to print the pdf in actual size, one page per sheet. But there's no option to add a page border.I have a test with some questions (multiple choice, FIB, matching, etc). I have just one button to submit all the answers, and after submiting the student can see his score and review the test to know where he failed. He can't answer again. However, he can change the answer multiple times before submiting.
"if i turn on success/failure captions the student will see them while answering" - before submitting
"if i turn them off he wont know what's the right answer" - after submitting
My results page is the default. I didn't use any variable. When i go to the results page after reviewing the test all the entry boxes are "wrong". -

Well, you can install Adobe Reader XI - not the version for Windows 8 tablets, but the one for regular PCs. This is just the same in Windows 8 as other systems, and can print. The tablet reader, which also runs on PCs, can't print.

I have downloaded the latest adobe download. I forwarded the email to my husband and he printed the document just fine.
This first question which comes to mind is how do you display the pdf file in the browser?
For this the browser uses a plug in (e.g. adobe reader) which already has the ability to print the pdf file. Depending on the version of your plug in, printing is started differently.

Can't print a PDF on 11x17 paper
I am using Acrobat 10.1.9 on a mac OS 10.8.5 and can not print a PDF on 11x17 paper. Even if I change the default paper size to 11x17 in my system prefrerences, it doesn't recognize the default setting, and prints on 8.5x11 paper no matter what. I have read numerous forums on the internet about people experiencing this problem, and they all say it started happening when Acrobat upgraded the version. However, I know that it is NOT the issue, because I am also using Acrobat 10.1.9 on a different mac that has a different OS 10.9.1, and I can successfully, and easily, change paper sizes when printing from that mac. Any advice?

To fix my problem, i uninstalled adobe reader X with "Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Cleaner Tool", rebooted the server, installed Adobe Reader XI and rebooted again.
For some users, this fix the problem but with some others i had to define Adobe Reader by default again.
I tried without use "Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Cleaner Tool" before and adobe reader X wasn't really uninstall.

Can't Print to PDF using Acrobat 8 Prof after deleting demo of v 10
Hi, I made the mistake of trying version 10 to see if it had any improvements over what I was using v 8.1.5 for, found that there were none, so I deleted it and now I can't print to PDF because it's looking for v 10. Unfortunately had to move recently and can no longer find the original disk to do a new installation. Does anyone know how to redirect the driver to the original v 8? I can open v 8 and everything else seems to work ok, just when I try to print to create a PDF it can't do it.

Finally got things to work by copying all the contents of my Acrobat sub-directory from the v 8 folder to the hollow v 10 folder. Now it works again! Thanks for you help and inspiration to figure this thing out. Am now a very happy camper and didn't need to tear my house appart to find the original disk!

Step 1: down the most recent version of adobe reader.
Step 2: Choose the option "advanced", and then choose the option: "print like an image".

Paso 1.-
actualizar a la versión más reciente de adobe reader.
descargarla, abrirla, e instalarla
Paso 2.- Volver a abrir el documento PDF, pero con la nueva versión de adobe reader.
Paso 3.- Ir a imprimir, pero antes de darle aceptar, ir al cuadro que dice: "AVANZADA"
Paso 4.- Entrar a avanzada, y marcar la casilla que dice "imprimir como imagen". y darle aceptar.
Paso 5.- presionar el botón de imprimir y listo.

PROBLEMA SOLUCIONADO.
El asunto, era porque no eran letras de caracteres, sino que eran una foto o imagen de letras.
por eso era necesario escoger la casilla de imprimir como imagen, además de actualizar al nuevo adobe reader. -

I have installed Adobe cs5 and all the other programs (indesign etc etc) work but when I try to open photoshop it says:
"You can't open the application Adobe Photoshop CS5.app because it may be damaged or incomplete"
I am a noob, I first installed it but it was in polish, couldn't work out how to change the language but entered into the program without problems so I deleted, redownloaded and reinstalled and it said the above. I deleted, redownloaded and reinstalled again but it didn't help.
What else can I do? again, I am a noob to all of this (and Macs) so Idiots Guide to Fixing your Photoshop CS5" Would be fantastic!!

Your big (as in HUGE) mistake was in deleting the application instead of using the Adobe uninstaller.
Look for the CS5Clean script at the Adobe site, download it and run it according to the instrructions.
