Can't Print to Trial Acrobat Professional

I downloaded and installed an Acrobat Professional 30-day
Trial version. It starts up but when I try to print to it, either
from Word or using the startup icon, I get a message that I must
activate it to print to it. But it appears activation requires that
I purchase the trial.
Can anyone please help me?

I've started having the same problem with InDesign and a Canon Pixma iX4000-- the job is sent to the printer much too quickly, and then the print queue shows an error message of "no pages found." It worked for the first week or so I had the printer, and then for no apparent reason it stopped.
I've rebooted, reinstalled the printer under different names, deleted InDesign prefs etc., but nothing has helped. The only way I can currently print from InDesign is to use the "print as bitmap" option, which is extremely slow.

Can't print via Adobe acrobat reader!

I can not print via Adobe Acrobat reader even though all other application work well with the printer and there is no hardware or connection problem involved.
the printer is: HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fn Color Multifunction Printer
The same thing happened to my outlook but I fixed it by reinstalling the printer software,
I think reinstallation is not the way of fixing it, does anyone have the same problem or can help me?

I understand you can print from all other programs except Adobe acrobat reader.
I have included a document to troubleshoot this issue for not being able to print pdfs.
Check your version and select the appropriate one to proceed.

If you are lokking for loopholes or workarounds - they don't exist. Your only option is to buy a new license of Acrobat XI. Of course, depending on what functionality you need, there are enough alternative, cheaper tools to create and edit PDFs or even free tools. Most of them won't deal with forms or otehr advanced features, though, but as long as you only want to convert your Word files to PDFs, the'll do the trick and you don't need Acrobat.

I had Adobe Acrobat Professional on my old Mac, but recently got a new computer. The only link I can find is for a Windows download. Is there any other way to re-download this?

You should be able to download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

Can't print from trial version of InDesign 5.5

I've just installed the trial version of InDesign 5.5; it works fine except I can't print to my Konica Minolta laserprinter - the file goes to the printer but then vanishes from the printer queue without actually printing. The printer still works with other applications. What am I doing wrong? Any help gratefully received!

How can I continue installation of acrobat professional 7

I had to reset my system to an earlier date (unrelated problem) and lost my full installation of Acrobat Professional 7.1 during this process. After downloading the file 22020134.exe from Adobe the attempt to install the file, was interrupted at the following location (CaptureA):with the following error messages (Capture1 + 2)
At this point I could not continue and have no clue how to continue the installation. I would appreciate to learn about a solution to my problem.

This error indicates that there is insufficient write permission on the mentioned location. You can try providing permission to this folder and hit retry.
Also, these screenshots seem taken on a Windows 7 machine. If that's the case, I would like to inform you that Acrobat7 is an old software and is not compatible with Windows 7. Please make sure you meet the system requirements and do not run into another problem after installing it.

That's the problem. If you don't want to buy it, then uninstall the trial. (DON'T delete files, that won't help)

New problem. Can't print to Adobe Acrobat 9 from a Firefox page. Both programs hang up. No problem with other browsers

Yes, the location for the Adope PDF printer had garbage in it. I fixed that. That has now fixed the problem.
However, Art's reply gave me an idea. I am using FrameMaker 8.0p277 (the version that came with Tech Comm Suite). Also, Acrobat 8 3D came with it.
Since then, however, I have installed Acrobat 9 Pro (which also provided Distiller 9).
Could it be that FrameMaker is trying to call Distiller 8, which no longer exists on my computer)?

Yes, if I uncheck Print to File, nothing happens and no .ps or .pdf is created.

There are actually four entries. It does not seem to matter which one I choose.
I'm working now on seeing if I can get Acrobat re-installed.

Printing Spreads from Acrobat Professional

I'ved created a 4-page newsletter in Indesign. Then I created a low-res pdf (from the presets) set up as spreads.
When I print this, I'd like the first and last page to come out as a "spread" on the first output, then pages 2 and 3 as a spread on the second output.
Currently, It comes out like this:
output 1: page 1
output 2: 2 and 3 as a spread
ouput 3: page 4

Hi - I am having the same issue using Quark for magazine publishing and would like to create PDFs using Acrobat that show the spreads as shown in the magazine. Same thing is occurrning, with the first page as a single right-hand page, rather than a left-hand spread.
I'm assuming that rearranging pages using the document page pallette would work as the response indicated for Katherine using InDesign., but I was hoping for something a bit less manual.
Is there no setting in Acrobat that can alter this, rather than manually adjusting pages in the Quark document? Something setting that would start the PDF on a left hand page?
Just hoping for alternatives!

Acrobat Professional and Excel Spread Sheets

In searching the archives, it appears that there is a known problem when you want to save a multi page Excel workbook as a PDF. It saves each page as a different PDF document. I didn't see any discussion where the problem was solved. As I understand the workaround, it appears time consumming and troublesome.
Can anyone tell me if Acrobat Professional has this problem also. I would spring for the $499, if there is no other way cause I have to send this document out as a PDF, but I don't want to of course. Worse, I don't want to buy Professional and then find that the problem still exists (no trial version for some reason).

Thanks for you help, but actually the problem has gotten a little murkier. I decided that the problem was the workbook itself so I created a test workbook with a couple of pages in it and it worked fine. So I thought that the problem was just with that one workbook. Next step was to rebuild the workbook from scratch using the MAC.
It was working fine until I got the whole thing done. Now that I have totally rebuilt the workbook, I'm back to getting only one page. This is frustrating.

How to uninstall the Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0?

I can't uninstall the Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0 from my computer. It shows saying "C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Adobe\Acrobat\7.0 Get last Error:5." It also can't be re-installed. How to do it?

If you still want AA7 running, then open Acrobat and use Help>Repair. If you cannot open Acrobat, then in Windows go to Control Panel>Programs & Features, select AA7 and repair. If you do uninstall AA7, it is likely you will not be able to successfully reinstall it without a new download. Can't Print a PDF (either in Preview nor Acrobat Professional)

I can print word docs, emails and other things, but not a pdf file. This is really strange and just started to happen recently. I have a (2) HP Printers, a Color Laser and an All-In-One and each stops the printing queue. I've looked over a bunch of posts, but no luck on finding a solution. i cannot print simple text-pdfs on my new hp laserjet p2015n anymore. the prints are either empty or off-center. i have tried everything from reinstallation of the drivers, changing the usb port, advice from the hp website, caalling hp who told me the printer was allright, printing from acrobat professional, acrobat reader, preview, converting to a pdfx-3 document and even printing as a bitmap without any result.

Acrobat Professional 7.0 - can't print comments

We have various PDF documents which colleagues mark up, in Acrobat Professional 7.0, using the 'note tool' or by highlighting text and using 'add note to text'.
We can normally print the comments with no problems - by using the 'print with comments summary' option.
On some PDFs when we print the comments, the page is blank with just connector lines to the original text (but the original text isn't shown, the page is just blank with a highlight where the text should be). But this doesn't happen on every page and not all the time!
The only pattern is that some of these PDFs have been created by combining PDFs together.
Anyone any ideas what's going wrong?
(we can't update to higher/later version of Acrobat).
