Can't print using Envy 110e

re:AirPrint.  I have iPad2 and iPhone 4s. Just acquired Hp Envy 110e all In one 411a.  iPhone and iPad both 5.0.1 and Envy up to date.  Still get "cannot find Air Print printer" message.   Should I continue to try and figure out or just use some other program? Any suggestions?

@vivianfromelkgrove,
I have seen some success with your router and the AirPrint function, however I am unaware which firmware versions have a higher success rate.
If you click the link below and scroll down to Version 9.0.1.3, you will notice the description is "Note: Fix iPhone compatibility issue". I am unaware if that is in reference of a Bonjour/Multicast issue or not, but you can check the firmware version of your router and compare to the updates available.

Concerning your printer, I would recommend going to the Setup menu, selecting Web menu, and Product Updates. Check for product updates to ensure it is up-to-date.

I just wanted to leave a note that it's working now. I'm not sure if it was the latest iTunes update that got it working or that i decided to start a new library instead of using the one i had backed up on Windows 8 (it didn't occur to me to check using the old library when i re-installed iTunes). But if anyone is having this problem, it might be worth trying again with a new installation of iTunes to see if the latest update works for you, and if not, try using a fresh library instead of a backup (by fresh library i mean discard your old library completely and start a new library, not just restore as new iPhone, a whole new library).

  • Can you print using both USB and Wireless on HP M175nw?

I am having a problem with my new LaserJet 100 colorMFP M175nw. When I initially set it up with Setup wizard, I selected the "USB" option, since that was how my old printer was hooked up to the computer. That worked fine and the printer works perfectly with my desktop. Now I can't figure out how to also set up the printer to be used wirelessly. I specifically bought this printer because I wanted to be able to Airprint from an ipad. I've tried several of the fixes listed on this website, but I'm not able to get a list of wireless networks to appear on the printer's menu. I am using a Linksys wireless G router, which is hardwired to my desktop, but which I use to wirelessly access the internet with my laptop and ipad.
What is the best way to be able to use the printer with my both my desktop (non-wireless), laptop, and ipad (both wireless)? Can I leave the printer hardwired to my desktop with a USB AND connect the other devices wirelessly? If so, what is the best way for me to connect the printer to my router - wirelessly or wired? What steps do I need to take to do that and get the printer connected?
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,
Before Christmas 2011, I ran few tests and I've posted elsewhere on this forum. My printer is a different model but I believe same technology. My tests indicated we can connect printer using BOTH wireless and USB. Printer will show busy/not available during direct print (ie USB) but it knows job(s) is/are on the queue and print after that.
One thing I could not test successfully: scan and print at the same time.
    Regards.

Every time I use firefox I can't print full pages off the internet. I will find the page I want, for example, map quest. I push the print button and my printer prints the entire page in one forth of the space. The entire page I printed can be found in the upper left hand corner of the full page, just shrunk down to a fourth of its size. How can i get a full page printed from the internet?

  • How can I print using only black with the Lexmark Z810?

    Mac OS X 10.6.8
    Print Using 810 Series driver
    Printer Driver Version: 10.6.4
I want to print using only the black cartridge.  I'm out of color ink.  However, I see no option to print using black only.  Consequently, when I print a document, only the parts of it that are black with show up on the paper.  Anything that has another color will not appear on the page.  Is there a solution to this problem?

Print Options can be hard to find and sometimes seem to change locations depending on OSX version or printer model.  Here is where it is on the print dialog on my mini with HP printer.

  • Can't Print Using lp

I added an HP Deskjet 3420 using the CUPS web configruation. I can only print a test page (which probably means the driver at least is working).
    However, using
    lp Untitled\ 1.odt
yields no results. It simply addes the job but does not print the one character in the file.
I tried using hp-print; however, it stops with this error:
    Print command failed with status code 1.  lpr -P deskjet_3420 -o page-set=all "/home/robin/text.txt"
Note: hp-print doesn't allow me to print ODT files so I just used a plaintext file for testing purposes.

Let's just leave aside odt files for the moment. The title of the thread says you have trouble printing with lp, and you said you did test it with a plain text file. Once we have lp working on plain text files, you may need to consider whether lp is the best choice for printing odts.

  • I use Mac OS X 10.6.8 and I need to know how can I print using Aficio MP C4000

I can not print after I added the printer
my laptop (MacBook Pro) using OS X 10.6.8 and my printer model is Aficio MP C4000
when I give the order print from my laptop to print the printer will print a empty paper and never stop printing
    its network contact.

Just to clarify, you are asking the best way to transfer a backup from a mac saved on an external HDD, to a PC that is running Windows, not another mac that is running Windows?

  • Can't print using ethernet connection

I am running Lion (10.7.4) on new Macbook Pro and am not able to connect my printer (HP LaserJet 5000GN) via an ethernet connection. I've downloaded the software drivers from Apple (v. 2.9) and used software update to make sure I am fully up to date, and restarted.
When I select System Preferences>Print and Scan and the click "+" in the dialog box, the Add Printer window comes up with nothing in the default window. When I go to the IP window in Add Printer the three options are IPP, LPD, and Socket. If I enter my IP address in the address box (I get a "Valid and complete address" verification in the window, I also pinged the printer successfully in Network Utility), and select the HP LJ 5000 series in the "print using" box, IPP gives me an error and LPD and Socket tells me "Unable to verify the printer on your network. It can not be currently determined if ‘192.168.0.4’ supports the HP JetDirect Protocol. Would you still like to create the queue?" If I select it anyway, it gets hung up on the "Setting up '[name of IP address]'" popup (shows it's running but never completes) unless I click the configure button and check the boxes.
After checking the boxes if I then go back to the Print & Scan Window, a printer appears with my IP address as its name. If I try to print, the Print Queue window comes up but the progress bar just runs endlessly and I get a message in Print Queue window, "Microsoft Word - Unable to verify your printer on your network." (The first part is because I tried to print a MSW document, but I've tried other software and it still fails to print.)
I've also tried this with different ethernet cables and with a direct ethernet connection vs. on a hub. The printer was working fine via ethernet connection on my old Macbook running 10.4, so I know this is some kind of software/configuration problem. This is an old printer so ethernet is the only option for connecting to the computer.
Any help would be much appreciated.

seems like it's all working now. i selected apple talk, and it found my laserwriter instantly.
    forgot about apple talk!

  • Can not Printing using Adobe Reader V9.0, OS is  Windows Vista

Help Me Please! I can not print in Adobe Reader. This is what is happening: I select print, the status bar shows pages being sent to the printer, the printer Hicups, clicks, clangs, clunks, and Burps and nothing comes out; No error, No copy. I'm running V9.0 but the same thing happened in version 8. I thought it was something to do with the down-load. What gives?

Sorry for disappearing; gotta make a livin'
No, I haven't looked for an updated driver for my printer but I will give that a try. I was able to print using the "print as image" function but it really bogged my system down to pre-Pentium days. I'll let you know if the driver update works. Thanks for reaching out!

  • How can we print using the windows printer dialog window?

    Hi,
We recently got new printers and a printer setup on our server that are set to print in greyscale as a default. In the past the printers defaulted to printing in color. When I create VI's and reports I have used to set "Print on completion" or the print option from the Report Generation Toolkit, and I have received my prints in color. After changing the printer drivers on the server any printing method I used to do from LabVIEW will always produce greyscale prints. These prints are fine for everyday use, however we need color prints when the documents are for customers or for other official use.
If I could only send documents/VI's to that process the user could override the "greyscale" setting and select "color" in the cases where we need a better looking print. Obviously the other option is to save the document/VI as a file and later print it from any windows software (Excel, Paint etc.).
Do anyone have any neat tricks for printing using the windows printer dialog?

You can change printer settings programmatically via a .NET assembly. You can also bring up the Print Dialog to change settings manually before printing.

  • Can not print using your brpuser i have window 2010

my provider is AT7&T. They advised me to use you, because i was unable to send e-mails. they are equip for windows 2010 are you?
I can not print from your browser.

Resolution of the above two cases (as discussed with them):
Nitin: There was some problem with MS word and Outlook communication due to which this issue was happening. After doing Repair of MS Office, his plug-in has started working properly.
skioffval: For LeanPrint plug-in to work in Outlook, MS Word is needed on the machine. MS Word was missing on the machine which was casuing Outlook to throw the mentioned error.
