Can't purchase in app store

hello, I have a problem when I want to purchase in app store, the device tell me "you must answer security question before purchasing: "
and... I remember I forgot my answer for security question, so I login to apple id want to reset my security question, then it says "you will receive reset link to your rescue email address " . and unfortunately again, I realize my rescue email was not valid !! (I enter [email protected] instead of [email protected])
can anybody help? how I can I change rescue email if I can't answer my security question? .. any help appreciated..

They've recent updated there Service Account settings n such
When trying to buy/free Download via iTunes or App Store
A Security Question will come up for you to pick 3 Questions and choose your NEW Answers

The old owner needs to go to Apple's website to "edit your Support Profile" to delete ownership registration of your product(s).
You then register your "new" device, also online. Once the old owner has deleted ownership, the serial number is freed for a user (new owner-you) to add it. You should obtain/have an Apple ID first.
On your computer, in the App Store Application, sign-out the old account. Create a new account (or sign in your account - your Apple ID).

Can not purchase from app store invalid apple ID

I have an old email address that my brother used years ago as an apple ID.This email address doesn't exist today and I never ok'd it's use in the first place but every time I want to make a purchase from the app store that old email address comes up and I'm done.How do I delete it from the apple ID sign in screen ?
I clear it and put in my current apple ID email address but when I enter it with my password a screen pops up and says it's unauthorized due to the old one.
It's driving me nuts,
I'm new as of now wasn't aware of this valuable site as I'm sure there is alot of knowledge in it's members,

If the old Apple ID is showing up when you are trying to update apps that just means that those apps were purchased under that Apple ID.
To resolve the problem you either need to find out (or reset) the password on that old Apple ID so you can type it in when asked, or you need to delete the apps and re-purchase (or re-download them if they were free) under your own Apple ID.
If you do the latter, make sure that your Apple ID is signed into iTunes. On the computer in the iTunes App, on the iDevice under Settings>iTunes & App Store.

know if I should change the card temporarily and then use my debit

Debit cards are no longer accepted in the iTunes Store for a number of countries, it seems. The current valid payment methods are listed here:

You can try contacting the iTunes Store and asking if there is any way to use your card, but they may tell you that it's not possible.

You cannot use the Japanese iTunes Store unless are physically present there and have a Japanese payment method. This applies even for free apps; you cannot get them from the Japanese iTunes Store if you are in the US.
If you are in Japan, you can set up a new iTunes Store account just to get free apps. See:

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
If you have moved to Japan and wish to change the country of your account permanently, you can contact the iTunes Store and ask them to clear your remaining balance. You will need to be able to provide a Japanese payment method, though.

Thanks, varjak, it is too easy to fall into use of jargon assuming everyone understands what it means.
One additional point in all of this, not all "iDevice" apps run on every "iDevice". Some are customized for a specific device, or class of devices such as the iPod/iPhone with their smaller screen. Others for just the iPads for their larger screens. So the user needs to be sure they are getting an app that will work on their specific device.
And to Phoneboone, you do need to purchase the app again if it is for a different class of equipment. When you are looking at apps such as iWorks for the Mac and iWorks components for the iPad, the iPad versions are very inexpensive. Pages is only $10 (US) which is really cheap for such a good word processor that reads and saves in the MS Word format.
Anyway, search for what you need and just enjoy the convenience of so many options for apps.

Your visa card is a credit card, not debit card? Do you meet the requirements as below, interpreted strictly?

The HT5312 page that you posted from has instructions for how to reset them i.e. if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account then steps 1 to 5 half-way down that page should give you a reset link.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset (these are user-to-user forums).
